Mammon, the world gifted by Magic. This world is home to a strange yet familiar society based on transforming the planet to be a God's host. Though there is more to the world, people and God that will surely be anything close to familiar.

The Opal Festival has begun!

All about the city of Prynne there is magic, merriment and excitement. In the shadow of Mount Shaddai this foliage holds one of the most grandiose fares on all of Mammon! Bards and Sorcerers every where, filling the air with magnificent cantrips and fantastic stories. The Clergy, clad in white robes with a rainbow sheen that of a pearl are holding enchanting sermons telling stories of ages past and the future of Mammon, these events attract crowds in the tens of thousands. Wondrous smells emanate from the Branches as they bud perfectly opal blossoms all about the Canopy. Children running about, trying to practice their Magics and watch fantastic shows put on by their elders. Buildings have opal ribbons draped down from porches and roofs, light posts line the streets, their normal yellow light replaced with a fantastic prismatic white.

An enormous Lume hangs above the city, just above the Canopy shedding light on the whole Foliage. This Lume is not natural, rather it is maintained by some of the high caste Wizards to make the festival more enjoyable. On the subject of caste this merry time is a rare opportunity for the castes to melt together. While respect is still common (Addressing higher caste as Bon and lower as Bo) this does not stop an upper caste scholar from sharing a dance with a common baker. Speaking of the dances there is much wondrous music coming from both Bards and enchanted instruments keeping the spirit of the merrymaking alive. Friendly magic duels take place among the goers, with spells being countered and conjured this creates entertainment and is kept under control by the Shell Guards (Paladin and Rangers) dressed in pearly white armor they keep the peace and maintain security.

Security is very important during this event. For on this eve the city allows Asleep to not only walk in public unaccompanied, but even take place in the festivities. These Asleep would normally not even care for being part of the Awaken society but an expansive and hectic environment like this is perfect for a good score or perhaps just for some free food. On the out skirts of the Foliage the Shell keeps a taught watch for any would be terrorist Asleep or, Kloysster forbid, a cult of Witches trying to cause chaos. Since the Clergy has one of their cultists on display, his mind pried open for the commoners to see what a corrupted Dual Mind feels like, the Magus have even been rumored to be on the watch.

In the center of the massive city, high above all on a massive flowering spire, the main attraction is taking place. Arch Conjurer Taboo is bringing a true, living, will of Kloysster into existence! No one knows why or what the being will be but the whole population is buzzing with rumors and speculation.

With Prynne in this fantastic and chaotic state there are three questions for you: who are you, what is your story and where do you fit in?

(Male Human Paladin 1)

This will be about Codaes Nel's story, him narrorating himself in his mind.
Today marks a significant day in history. Kloysster, in the name of Taboo, is bringing his living will and being into this world. We, the clergy are here to maintain security of all, and to ensure all goes well. And of course this is where I come in. I am known as Bon Sir Codaes Nel, but Nel is just fine with me. I became a Paladin; you could call it fate or true calling. I live to serve those around me, and the will of Kloysster.
I currently am on patrol inside the Canopy and will make rounds to the summoning. The twilight glistening off my pearly armor and sheathed crafted blade, the "Shaddai" The words "Deus es Machina" on one side and "Cast in the name of God" on the other, I know and vow to protect those around me.
It seems the citizens and denizens are enjoying themselves. The laughter of the youngsters is comforting, and when my shift is up, I think I should join in on some festivities; them gals can dance!
