Tony Nedraid |
Tony's thoughts spin rapidly.
"Wait a minute, was that an elf? The villains we intended to meet are already inside! Secret enterance? What if Ekard got caught?" Tony makes up his mind to get a lot closer.
He climbs down to the alleyway, then sneaks over to the closest cover to the back door.
Lord T |
Ekard
The dogs have stopped barking for the time being and both of the figures seem to have grown silent. The one near the door seems to be trying to make sure all his weapons are easy to access and that the dogs are perfectly placed to ensure maximum fear. While you waiting for anymore conversation. You hear the sound of someone making noise just outside the warehouse and so do the dogs as they suddenly starting barking this time not at you. The figure on the ground floor peaks out the door. "We have company looks like some idiot trying to sneak up on us." you hear him say in common. The other on the platform readies his crossbow and aims at the doorway. While the one near the door draws a swords.
Tony
So you get down the building without falling on you face however you don't do it very silently as you stumble at the last minutes and crash into a box sitting on the ground. About the time you regain your footing you look up and see an elf staring back at you from the back doorway of the warehouse. He snears at you. "Get lost you fop, or they'll be trouble for you my friend!" you see the flash of steel in his hand and can hear the dogs inside the warehouse barking again.

Tony Nedraid |
Caught, Tony looks like a deer in the headlights for a moment; but then he straigtens up, pulls out a monogramed handkerchief and smoothly brushes himself off.
"Now, is that any way to treat your eight o'clock appointment?" he said, approaching the elf in a confident manner.

The elf looks you up and down looks back into the warehouse and mutters something to his compatriot in a very singing songy lanaguage; then turns back to you. "Where is Ortry and Derral?"
Tony Nedraid |
Tony flicks his handerchief and tucks it back up his sleeve.
"Oh, they're sitting on the girl. We just thought I should actually SEE the money before I whistle and they bring her up."
Lord T |

"Oh, they're sitting on the girl. We just thought I should actually SEE the money before I whistle and they bring her up."
Again the elf looks back into the warehouse and says something you don't understand. Then turns back to you. "Let see some proof and then you can see the money!"
Lord T |
The elf looks at you and you can tell your silver tongue has failed you this time, as he starts to laugh.
"No, it is you my foppish friend who obviously doesn't know the way this works."
He raises his sword and points it at your throat and with his other hand he pushes open the door a little wider. Behind him, you can see three vicious looking doberman pinchers; growling and just waiting for their master to give them the permission to tear into you. Above him on a raised platform some 40 to 50 feet away is the other elf with a crossbow pointed at you. Your pretty sure he is pointing it at your head.
"First I see some proof or the body if you were stupid enough to drag it around town....Then you see the money....And if you can't provide anything then well, I suspect you will be leaving this alley with a few more holes in your rotting corpse, than you were born with."
Tony Nedraid |
Tony frowns with annoyance.
"Do not get thine knickers into a twist, poltroon. I will procure such proof and return anon. Good day sir." With a stiff bow, Tony turns and walks off out of sight.
Ekard Keller |
Ekard maintains his position and previous plan, but he's starting to get antsy.
Tony Nedraid |
Tony tries to round up the rest of his crew.
"OK they want proof. I say we put a sack over Railina's head and pretend to tie her up. When we get inside she can break free and we can grab the lot of them."
Tony Nedraid |
"I have a cunning plan that cannot possibly fail!
We'll just throw a blanket over her and she holds her hands behind her like they were tied. The rest of you crowd around and look tough. When the action starts, one of you whip the blanket off and we'll charge. I'll demand they come out to make the trade, under no circumstances will we go inside with her tied."
Pol Voron |
Pol cracked his knuckles, trying to stave off sleep, but couldn't stifle the coming yawn. "Are we going in yet?"
Feels like I'll be out when the battle comes around. Lemme roll for stuff right now. Enough for the first round? Feel free to npc my actions.
Attack 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20
Damage 2d4 + 4 ⇒ (3, 2) + 4 = 9
I'll either attack the closest guy to Railina, or the guy closest to me, depending on initiative.

sounds good Pol, will go with those actions unless you post otherwise.
Tony Nedraid |
We're going to use a loose blanket or towel to conceal her face, but is faster to remove. With that, and our thugs looking properly thuggish, Tony again approaches the door to the warehouse.
"Well now gentlemen, here is the girl. Where is the money?"
Bluff check:
1d20 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16

Quick question are you guys carrying her or is she walking with you with the towel bag over her head?
Lord T |
I was just going to have her walking with us, thugs at her elbows, towell over her head and mumbling complaints as if she were gagged.
I am going to assume "thugs" mean Pol, Chelian and the likes
So you go back up to the warehouse door and knock. Again the door is opened by the same elf as before. He looks you up and down.
"So is this your proof? What pathetic idiots you must think we are I can't believe you think we would fall for such a ruse.." He turns slightly and yells "Lucio attack!!"
Roll me initiative everyone
Ekard Keller |
Ekard moves out of cover to take his shot at the thug with the crossbow. If he can take a move to get within sneak attack range without getting down from the crates, he will do so.
Sling ranged attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8 Damage: 1d3 ⇒ 1 Possible sneak attack damage: 1d6 ⇒ 3

Round 1
"How disappointing. Oh well, plan B then. Attack!"
Tony lunges for the first one, the one in the door.
Rapier attack:
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25 (Critical Threat)
Roll to confirm critical: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19
Rapier Critical hit Damage:
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (1, 2) + 6 = 9
If the critical didn't actually confirm take half that.
Chelin Karos |
Wow, I hadn't expected to go first.
Not wasting any time when he sees the sorceress is in danger, Chelin has his longsword out in a moment as he rushes forward as quickly as he can at the enemy nearest to Railina, slashing out at him. "Surrender, wretched kidnappers!"
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16 Attack
1d6 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7 Damage
