To speed it up.
It takes your investigator about 30 seconds to find the way to open the door, he notices another slit perfectly sized for one of those brown striped cards. You can enter the next corridor.

Greatsword in hand, Gregory cautiously moves down the corridor, and opens the first door that he sees.

Aelden watches the oracle move out and shakes his at the man's impatience. Then he remembers his impatient tapping on the floor, and laughs to himself. He sets out after Aurora, switching to his trusty longsword.

"View's better back here anyway..."

Gregory moves over to check-out the first set of doors, paying attention for another card slit.

(The ones that I have moved my icon in front of.)


Without a problem Gregory can open the door to the left room.
The air in this room seems to buzz and hum with energy. Strips
of glowing rectangles light the room from above, while strange
flickering windows line the east and west walls. A large glasstopped
circular table sits in the middle of the room. To the north
sits a large metal desk covered with blinking lights, while a
humming pillar of purple-and-black metal stands nearby, its
sides flashing with tendrils of violet energy. A single golden
panel flashes with a soft but incessant light on the side of this
pillar. A thick layer of dust coats everything, diffusing the lights
shining from the various surfaces, and many of the machines
seem to be damaged, cracked, or otherwise ruined.

Gregory cautiously moves forward, and investigates the glowing panel.

Uran stares in wonder at all the lights and buttons and such.

"Never in my wildest dreams did I think such a place could exist. I wonder what it is all for?"

After a minute of staring into the air she suddenly shakes her head and follows the rest of the group into the room. "I should not play around with electricity so much." she says. Then she examines the purple-and-black metal thing and other stuff in the room.

You "THINK" this does some regulation with another room. But it is quite difficult to say. You could try something or take some time

With a shrug, Gregory tries pushing the flashing panel.


You hear some whine and sounds but nothing more and after a few minutes Vanya concludes that there is not enough energy. You would have to find to support the machines with more power. Maybe a broken cabel somewhere.

You tinker with those machines Take one damage of electricity damage but you are absolutly sure that it needs a sage for that. But with Vanyas help you think you repair one or two of those broken connections, but still there is power missing. Maybe the connection must be restored in another room.

Uran watches the others examine the strange machinery. Knowing not to touch equipment he has no idea about, he keeps watch over the group to make sure noting sneaks up on them.

Vanya looks around for a cable of some kind to support the machine with enough power. Perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (8) + 11 = 19 Does Vanya see where the cables come from? A hole in the wall or something?

If she does not find anything she heads back to the corridor and looks for a door to another room.

Aurora briefly considers using her own energy to provide power, but likely wisely determines she won't be able to supply enough.

Let us search that other room if there is somewhere else nearby that might be able to switch this device on. thinking about it, why do we want to turn it on? Do we know what it does?!

We should really move on, see what else lies down these corridors. Those double doors look promising...

Walking to the next door you can easely open the door
A large metal table is surrounded by odd-looking chairs in this
room. To the west, what appears to be a transparent wall looks
out over a strange desert valley. Four pillars support the fifteenfoot-
high ceiling, while dozens of crude images of a pickaxe
made of a skull and bones have been painted onto the walls
with some sort of ivory pigment along with several phrases in
an unrecognizable language.

The robot crashes full speed into 1d4 ⇒ 3 Aelden but the fighter can block it, ducking behind his shield, blocking the door.
