I remember LoF. My wive and my stepson, booth managed to miss one enemy due to bad rolls for over 10 minutes while booth just needed a 8 to roll for hit.

You remember that cousins of Jinkin are pugwampy and they have an unluck aura. You think this is a halfbreed. The unluck aura is cancelled if someone is under a luck effect. You think maybe teamwork will prevail were simple works fail.

After so many misses the gremlin starts to laugh uncontrollible and falls laughingly to the floor, right between Gregory and Aelden.
Unluck Aura is ok for a few rounds but it gets unfun.He still has it, but you two should now have better chances for hitting.

Aurora stands very still, casting her mind back to the calming mantra she learned to focus on when her powers were raging almost out of her control.

The creature was nigh impossible to hit before for her, and with it now led down she had even less opportunity.

She continues to chant under her breath as she waits for her companions to finish the thing off.

As the Gremlin is prone, that is enough to kill the gremlin. With a last laugh... he dies. You suddenly feel again a bit luckier. You are sure the gremlin menace is over. She wordlessly hands you over a pouch with a few items.The pouch contains 49 silverdisks and five strange cards made of a f lexible, smooth material. These five cards each bear a brown stripe.
Also she offers to answer you your questions and tell you what she knows.

Does Vanya know what the silverdiscs and flexible cards are made for?

Knowledge engeneering is fine
You have seen something similar as the silverdisks in Auroras possession. They are burned out batteries. You can trade them in the silverdisk hall for 10gp apiece. The flexible cards.... are somewhat more difficult. You have seen varisian harrowing cards, those are similar, but you think that track is wrong. Maybe a badge of office or so.

Uran also looks over the items found, but shrugs his shoulders as they mean little to him. He does reload his rifle before the group returns to the main room, as well as search about a bit to see if he can spot anything else.

Sef leads you to the door in the big cave and pulls away a little box behind the door, moving through the door. The illusion? is shattered and you can see that what looked like a slap of metal is now a ragged hole blasted by magic.

Sef stays behind and moves back to the shadows vanishing.
A few rules now. What lies behind the door is all made in a greyish metal of incredible hardness. The walls are quite smooth and the only seperation of this uniformness is a small strip on the ceiling. Until further notice it is quite cold and dark.
The walls, floor and ceiling of this slightly curved hallway are
made of smooth dark gray metal. Panels of lighter material run
along the ceiling eight feet above. To the north and south the
tunnel is blocked by walls of metal junk and rubble, while open
doorways yawn to the east and west.

Aurora suggests the group heads east, with nothing to differentiate the two paths one was as good as the other. If no-one objects, she follows Aelden in through the doorway.

Those metallic cards Sef gave us, are they the same size as this?

Aurora beckons, and the cards slowly pop out of Uran's pack, gliding through the air until they rest in her hands.

She sighs and without looking at him, offers them to Aelden.

Delicate flower of a sorcerer, nasty traps, bloody corpse, grumbling warrior...

She tries and fails to keep a straight face.

Gregory spots a small rectangle of a slightly darker grey next to the door.

"Could this be important?"

"What am I supposed to do with this?" He holds up the gray card, twisting it back and forth in the dim light.

"Huh..will you look at that! That spot right there looks about the right size for one of those weird card-thingys. Here let me see one of those."

When he is given one of the cards he will tey to 'fit' it onto the dark spot.


As soon as you put the card to the square you hear a beep. But nothing more. The cards are also about double the size of the grey squares.

Aelden will take his card and hold it over the square. When it beeps but nothing happens, he frowns. "Bloody..." In frustration, he waves his card at the gray box.


As you wave it over the box again it beeps again.

Oh for the love of... Aurora trails off in Androffan, frowning all the while.

She tries each of the different metal cards on the rectangle, and pushes the door before, during and after the beeps for good measure.

Surely if they enchanted this door to require a key they could have added a nicer musical tone than that horrid beep, maybe a gong or perhaps a bell?


The moment Aurora pushes the rectangle the door opens. With a decent woosh about one ton of solid metal moves smoothly up. If she presses the rectangle again it will move down. If she presses after pressing a card once it will remain closed but after putting the card to it again it will open.
