Can't wait to see the finalized aliases!

Also, dot.
Redundant (See other Alias)
Ingenue Subject 2605, Code Name "Celeste-Soutien"
Status: Ready
Edit: Switched Combat Reflexes for Toughness. I'm not sure how prevalent melee combat will be.
Male Grippli Aberrant Bloodline Sorcerer 5
I wound up switching Expanded Arcana out for Intensified Spell, if that's OK.
Redundant (See other Alias)
I do have a quick question. I'd like to build Celeste to be functional with a riot shield/handguns. In your vision of the campaign, would it be worth my while to invest in shield-based feats?
Kingmaker Table 1
Everyone's changes are okay by me.
Celeste, shields and shield-based feats will be just as useful in this campaign as they are in normal ones. You can assume that the majority of combat will be against people with guns, so having a bullet-proof/resistant riot shield will definitely come in handy. Being able to use it for something besides a defensive implement will be to your benefit as well.
Okay, that's three down, two to go.
Also, I'm gonna post your Subject Numbers here so you can use them if you want:
Grey: 318
Oodie: 350
Vivi: 363
Angi: 705
Celeste: 983
Male Dhampir fighter (archer) 4/sorcerer 1 | HP 35/48 | AC14 (T14 FF10) | Init 4 | F4 R5 W4 | Perc. 4 | Spells 1st: 3/4 | Baretta 9mm 2d6+2
Project Ingenue Subject #363 - Female Aasimar Garuda-blooded Inquisitor 5 | HP 55/55 | AC12 (T12 FF10) | Init 9 | F6 R3 W7 | Melee 5 | Ranged 5 | Perc. 7 | Spells 1st: 5/5 - 2nd: 2/3
Did we lose one already?
"Ehm, Sir? Looks like there's been an accident in subject 705's tank..."

I think it'd be worthwhile to message Rednal (Angi 705's player). He's a GM for like 7 games, at least two of which he updated yesterday, so it's probable he just missed the recruitment thread.
Retired
I decided on a different alias with the correct number because I had too many posts on that one. That's what I get for recycling aliases.
I also re-switched toughness for two-weapon fighting so I can use a shield as a damage source.

@GM: news from our fifth element?

Should we perhaps start without Angi? Or pull someone else in from the recruitment thread?

+1
Alpha has resubmitted her application, btw.
Kingmaker Table 1
Sorry for the late post. Unexpected plans.
@Vivi: Saw that, and I'm gonna PM Rednal. If he really is super busy, he may rethink his submission.
If he does, is everyone okay with Alpha to replace Angi?
Retired
I don't think I have any problems with Alpha, if Rednal/Angi isn't interested. Alpha seemed really interested in the game up until the last second.

I'm here, I'm here! DX I just thought I hadn't been noticed before, and with an apparently-ignored submission, I'd been busy elsewhere. Building alias now.
EDIT: All right, here we go. Is there anything I still need to change? I'll probably go look back through the Recruitment thread real quick...
Kingmaker Table 1
Good to hear! Glad to have you with us; I enjoyed the first iteration of The Last Grimoire.
Looks good to me! I'll have the first post up in the next 24 hours (hopefully; like I said, not at home...)

And I will desperately try to remember to check back for the gameplay thread, since this isn't in my games list until I dot it. XD;

Not all posts will be as large as that one. Just an intro.

Sorry for the delay. My wife works night shifts as a nurse, she's had the past couple nights off, so we've been spending some time together.
Also, I was doing some writing for the campaign which had some bearing on the answer to Grey's question. So I had to figure that out first.

Well then, it would seem we're all in favor of going south and Oodie wants to scout around once we're in sight of the coast. Should we fast forward to that point, or is something going to happen before we get there?
Retired
Yeah, we're boating our way to the Netherlands. I'm okay with a fast-forward as well.

It might be just me, but I have the slight feeling that this pbp is having some difficulties taking off. Is there something wrong, GM? Something I'm missing?
I'd also like to know what the other players think. Perhaps I simply need to adjust to this rhythm...

*knock knock*
What's happened? I'd hate to think this pbp is dead before it's even really started. The outline was so promising!

I'm ready to head south whenever the rest of you are. ^^

My point is I'm afraid it's the pbp that's *going south*... I sincerely hope I'm wrong...
Kingmaker Table 1
You are, you are! I'm so sorry for not having been on these past couple days. Lots of RL getting in the way...I'll do my best not to let it happen again without warning.

My wife has Thurs & Fri off this week, so posting might be spotty around there. Just a heads up.

So sorry Oodie, I've been thinking--since recruitment--that you were German. Are you British, American or French? PS: Grey and Angi, I just kind of split the two of you up among the UK and America since your primary languages were English. I guess I could've gone Canadian too. Feel free to specify along with Oodie.
Male Grippli Aberrant Bloodline Sorcerer 5
I speak English and French, so I guess I'll go with Canadian (if that is an option) or American otherwise.
Kingmaker Table 1
Canada is a member of NATO, so I guess it's on the table, eh?

I'll be away from the internet from Friday until Monday. Just a heads-up.

Thanks for the reminder, I will be too.

I tried to use grease to get a circumstance bonus on my bluff due to "Possessing convincing proof". How does that work exactly? Does the GM decide on whether or not there is a bonus after the fact, or do I have to do something?
Kingmaker Table 1
GM discretion; and yeah, you definitely get the circumstance bonus for that! Nice thinking on your feet!
Kingmaker Table 1
Are you all waiting on me? The door's open, one guard is bent over Grey, the other is facing out on the radio, and the door's open. I'd do a map, but I'm afraid you'd all be out of that area as soon as I did...

I was waiting on Gray - it seemed like he was going to do to something, and I'm planning to follow up on that as best I can.

What Angie said. He's the one with what seems to be a plan.

Well, I doubt that my second shadowstrike hit anyway but....
Are there any rules that define detrimental effects of hands being restrained? I have just been assuming that it doesn't affect darkstrike since it is a touch attack.
Female Human Kineticist 5 | HP: 60/60 | AC: 13, T: 13, FF: 10 | Fort: +8, Ref: +7, Will: +1 | Fire Blast: +6 (Damage: 3d6 + 5) | CMB: +3, CMD: 16 | Init: +9, Perception: +8 |
Well, I know there are some things you can't do - somatic spell components, for example, would probably be right out. Other times, it's probably simple sense...?
Kingmaker Table 1
Yeah anything that requires two hands (that aren't right next to each other) as well as free arm movement. If you do anything that requires an Acro check, I may put a penalty on it. But I should mention that Angi can free the lot of you fairly easily.
Female Human Kineticist 5 | HP: 60/60 | AC: 13, T: 13, FF: 10 | Fort: +8, Ref: +7, Will: +1 | Fire Blast: +6 (Damage: 3d6 + 5) | CMB: +3, CMD: 16 | Init: +9, Perception: +8 |
Which I plan to do during a lull moment. XD I'd rather not try to cut people's bonds when they're in the middle of swinging their arms around wildly.
Kingmaker Table 1
Good plan. Also, if you think you're strong enough, you can try to brake your bonds as a full-round action (I figure it'll at least take that moment to build up the strength and then snap them). Also if you have anything that allows you to become something other than corporeal or two-armed, etc. that would help too.
