Male Human Paladin 2

Taking bets for another snake in the boat.

Qadira

Hmmm... it turns out Shisa really is snakebait... :)

male dwarf 2 weapon Fighter 1

This sucks- I must withdraw for many reasons. you have been an excellent group and DM. No kmore internet at work and limited free time at home makes this no longer possible. good lcuk with the kraken spawn!!!

Glass jaw.. Glass ribs.. I sure spend a lot of time unconscious.. heh.

Zzzzzzz

But then again, Aero spends just as much getting fished out of the water.. so I dont' feel so bad.

Male Human Paladin 2

Sorry to hear it Mundin, glad to have played with you.. before you go... kill hat f#$&@king snake.

I doubt Aerodus will even put his head underwater without a weapon in hand.

Mundin IronHand wrote:

Ack! Sorry to hear that Mundin. It's been very enjoyable gaming with you. Guess I'll have to pick on Aero now ;)

Good luck.

Taldor

Male Human Rogue-Swashbuckler L1

Sorry to see you go man.

Male Human Paladin 2

Can probably take" haul unconscious paladin out of water" now as a.class skill. Or at least get a familiarity bonus. Or heaven forbid a 'drowning Aerodus kit'+ 2circumstance bonus to save the paladin.

Prof, question for you.. as Shisa had her dagger out.. do I assume that it's at the bottom of the river or did the snake happen to pin it against the body when it coiled?.. or would she have (assumed) sheathed it before trying to latch on to the paly? I didn't specify prior to the grapple attempt, so I'm curious.

THanks.

Qadira

Sorry to see you go, but when RL rears its ugly head you have to heed the call! Thanks for playing, and thanks for making the effort to let us know you're off (not just vanishing...). You'll be welcome back any time if your circumstances change. Cheers!

Let's just assume she put it away to do the grapple. A dagger dropping to the riverbed just lacks the pathos of the paladin's sword doing the same thing (in slow motion, with sad 'it's all over' music playing in the background)... ;)

Not to mention it's more satisfying to rag on the Paladin for letting his sword drop to the riverbed :)

Male Human (Chelaxian) Wizard (Diviner)/1

Sorry to see you go, Mundin. Your Elf-baiting skills are unmatched. Good luck.

OK, do we soldier on with the 4 of us, or put out a call for other castaways?

What say you, Prof?

Qadira

I've had a think and, to be honest, the Adventure Path is designed for four anyway, so you're still technically full-strength as far as encounters and stuff go. The are some suggestions in the book for how to fit in new PCs on the island, but to be honest if it's not needed it seems like something of a stretch to me - and takes something away from the whole 'isolated away from civilisation' vibe (hey, another ship just crashed with another PC level character as the sole survivor... what a coincidence! Nah...). As long as we avoid any more attrition I'd prefer to see how the four of you manage. We can always recruit for the next book in the AP if that's what people want when we get there... although at the speed of PbP that may be sometime around 2012... ;)

Works for me. Aerodus will get a chance to show off his knightly demeanor.. *evil witch elf grin*

"Honestly Aero, it's only a small village.. I already checked it out.."(patting a full pouch of acquired goods)

Male Human Paladin 2

And Im sure all the crazed villagers are coming out to welcome us? Might actually get to use saving shield... one of these days.

Two days down two people... who is next....

Is Mundin goof to poof via dm ex machina? Or can we treat him as being dmnpc'd until it becomes convenient to write him out?

Taldor

Male Human Rogue-Swashbuckler L1

I know what you mean by the pacing. I'm running a Savage Tide game [Warforged Gardener's Savage Tide here] and we're on track to finish sometime in 2023.
Meanwhile we better make nice to our only NPC Cleric!

Tony Nedraid wrote:

Well.. next encounter, I can just lay down and play dead since I tend to get ko'd anyways :) save the healer some spells.

Male Human Paladin 2

Is it wrong that I am checking this at my buddies wedding reception? Or that we have a map/module/dice ready to go?

Aerodus Whiteblade wrote:

It's only wrong if you ignore the scantily clad gal as she pops out of the cake.. once she's out, make sure you roll your fort save ;)

Poor Aerodus, faced with a moral dilemma. Do I take the boat.. or do I leave it.. Muhahaha!

<witch elf chant>
Take it!
Take it!
Take it!
</witch elf chant>

C'mon.. you know you want to steal it.. I feel it within you young Aero.. your emotions betray you.. feel the power of the dark side!

Male Human Paladin 2

Funny Part is Marik, wants to take all of it.
Aerodus wants to take the booze/medicine
And Tony wants to take nothing.

Aerodus Whiteblade wrote:

heh. True.. but Shisa doesn't know that.. all she sees in some gesturing men as they mull over the boat. Ah, the irony of it all :)

Male Human Paladin 2

Im waiting for the natives to just sneak up on us as we argue..

Aerodus Whiteblade wrote:

LOL! You'd fit right in.. standing there dripping wet in nothing but your braes with sword in hand.. Just grab a spear and try to blend in ;)

Male Human Paladin 2

Alright that Braes must be a cultural gap... looking on the 'nets and I have no idea wth it means: besides steep slope or hillside.

Will save! 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20 I RESIST YOUR EVIL COMPULSION WITCH ELF!

My alignment stays true!

**Makes note: first item to purchase, Dagger, second Phylactery of Faithfulness.

Qadira

Here I am post-op looking to fill some time. Reading your game thread has been one of the highlights. Great stuff and thanks.

Cheers

Qadira

Braes = medieval underwear. Linen underpants, a bit like boxer-shorts (little embroidered hearts optional...;) ).

French Wolf - glad to hear you're enjoying it!

Male Human Paladin 2

Then they shall have little Iomedaen sword symbols!

*Rings the gong*

Qadira

The intensity of the combats with the rock crab on the Jenivere and the recent one with the snake in the river are high points for me. As is the way you all willing follow a paladin with a high diplomacy and naff abilities in so many other ways - swimming, fighting in water, perception.

I salute you!

We have to follow the paladin.. you know how whinny they can get.. they tend to mope too. ;) *waits patiently for Aero's good-natured retort*

Glad to have you aboard.. pour a stiff drink.. I'll get Aero into trouble sooner or later :)

Aerodus Whiteblade wrote:

I'll be nice.. for a change.. and not comment ;) Nope.. I'm going to be good for once..

Male Human Paladin 2

And people wonder how antipaladins get made....

Aerodus Whiteblade wrote:

Yah, sure.. blame the half-elf.. oh wait.. *looking at Aerys* I see your point.

Male Human Paladin 2

Which half elf.. they all look the same to me. Both cause problems..

Aerodus Whiteblade wrote:

Oooh look, Shiney!!

Male Human Paladin 2

Noooo! Stop finding things!

Aerodus Whiteblade wrote:

Okaaay.. but if you fall into a pit, don't blame me.. you told me to quit looking ;)

Oh, I see how it is Aero.. you trust the 'guys' but not me. Uh huh.. good ol' boys club. See if I spot anymore boats for you. Hmph!
<insert indignant witch elf look here>

:)

all in good fun

Male Human Paladin 2

Let me help move it along... some what..

Also anyone think prof is going for a forum takeover?

Aerodus Whiteblade wrote:

Hopefully, the other groups are as lively and having as much fun as we are :)

Qadira

Yeah... I get carried away... One day I'll learn, just not today it seems... ;)

And I hope everyone is having fun - that is the point, after all!

Male Human Paladin 2

*queue Im on a boat refrence*

Male Human Paladin 2

What did we say about using the "I'll be right back" in the horror game?

Aerodus Whiteblade wrote:

Ha! I'm playing it safe.. I'm taking weapons.. and no stairs ;)

Male Human Paladin 2

Tony: Funny that you mention the Savage Tide thread, as that is what first got me interested in PbP's, and.. as I was stalking.. what part of OR, you in? (Im a Salem/Scio) person myself.

Note: Time for perception take 10s... better than my rolls..

Taldor

Male Human Rogue-Swashbuckler L1

I live right on the edge of Beaverton and Aloha; 170th and T.V. Highway.

Heh.. With that perception roll Aerodus, you sure you went the right direction? :)

only bad thing about a PbP.. you can't throw the dicebot across the room or school it with a hammer when it rolls lousy.

Male Human Paladin 2

Hence the shouting as he goes... at least SOMEONE will.. hear him...

Hopefully.. I mean come on! Hes the charismatic guy! Im supposed to make it till almost the very end!

Also.. that's only an IF X then Y situation... just to try and get back some of the time spent on the great boat discussion.

sadly enough.. while getting ready for work and thinking about this.. I'm wondering if Aerodus isn't near/far-sighted. I mean with all the bad perception rolls, perhaps he has a vision problem and needs glasses (or magical healing). Hrm.. some RP possibilities there if this were a tabletop :)

Male Human Paladin 2

I smite evil with astigmatism!

Marik: Aren't you the guy with the map and the familiar who knows the area?
