I agree with the suspension of disbelief when it comes to armour size and suchlike... hence the requirement to do some Crafting before the stuff could be used. The leather armour the bugbears were wearing was patchwork stuff to begin with, you're not going to make it any more patchwork by cutting it down to fit someone smaller. It's not meant to be masterwork stuff... but you go with what you have, right? Looking at it the other way, would it have been any more unrealistic to say you couldn't try to use the stuff, even after making the effort to modify it? Besides, every little counts... ;)
And as far as proportionally fitting a bugbear and a dwarf, minus the length, I think that would work how Rashid said. I was more saying for my own character, and my own thought processes. Yousef, even though he is a gutterborn scumbag, would rather be able to tumble around a combat field in his skivvies than to be weighted down by ill-fitting, and probably stinky armor. Besides, Rashid and Saul probably need it more, and it would most conceivably fit them with the most minor alterations.
I looked up Sarenrae right after I typed WWSD, knowing that Yousef had a religious experience involving her, and noticed that she is the goddess of reformed evil-doers". I thought it funny.
I feel that our adventure just turned into a comedy. We have a two of us getting scared by a giant bat. Another two wrestling a severed smack talking head into a bag, and one of us racing maniacally towards hippogriffs while getting chased by hyena headed humanoids.
For the record, I am still lurking on both game threads; I am just being quiet until Bahram's/Lavender's/Yousef's fates are decided, and we re-group; at present, I have no idea that anything is going wrong out there...
That, and Rashid is trying to work out what to do with the Div-in-a-sack ;-)
Having Saul coup-de-grace with a club seems like the logical option, but is a tad unsporting...
...I would prefer to wait until the rest of the group returns, and get some consensus on what we should do :-)

Half-orc Lesson #1: What to do with a div in a bag.
"You don't coup-de-grace with a club. You swing the sack against the wall over and over until the div stops complaining."
Sorry Prof, I accidentally clicked on this thread thinking it was the Serpent's Skull thread and now I'm hooked, both here and in the in-game thread.
If you ever have an opening I have a Paladin of Sarenrae from a campaign that recently fell apart that I'm dying to get back in the saddle again.
Keep up the fun,
V
Rashid - the div-in-a-bag won't necessarily just be content to be a div-in-the-bag for the however many hours (in game time) it'll take to regroup - I kinda' need to know what you dwarfy types are doing with it...
Vanulf - no need to apologise! Feel free to lurk away, but I don't think I'll be recruiting for this one for a bit... maybe if we ever make it through the first book of the AP (moving at the awesome speed of PbP!)?

If I remember my Salvatore right and what Bruenor Battlehammer did with those hill giant brains...
I remember a scene where the dwarves were cooking up hill giant brains for eating in The Crystal Shard. I tried to reread it a couple years ago, remembering how much I liked it as a kid. It didn't hold up and that part made me put the book down.

Sorry to ask this, but can I get a list of all of the loot we have? I now have a running list, but I'm not sure if it is complete. If I know someone has the item in their possession I marked it, and important items I list too, mainly for a reminder for myself. Click me in the face and go down to the bottom spoiler to see the undivided loot.
In terms of undivided loot, that list seems relatively complete; I know we all picked-up a pile of odds-and-ends when we scoured the guild-hall, but I would hardly consider that to be 'group treasure'.
The only other thing that I would add is that Rashid also has a key that was taken off one of the bugbears.
------------------------------------
The issue with keeping too much of the generic loot at present (beyond what we need to equip ourselves personally) is that we really have no storage devices, beyond a sack, and a few belt pouches, so it makes toting around stuff like spare suits of armor difficult, to say the least.
That, and frankly, I do not see the 'resale' value for Bugbear armor and Gnoll weapons being particularly high, even if we manage to get it to a merchant who is willing to exchange loot for gold.
So, whilst as a rule I am a very item-focused player, I think that we are better-off simply abandoning some things (such as the leather armor Rashid traded-in for a chainshirt). Of course, once we have more ways of carrying things, and/or a permanent base of operations, that could change, although again, from a resale-perspective, I see the Gnoll/Bugbear gear generally being more hassle than it is worth.
Of course, if we start to find better quality items, we should certainly start tracking that :-)
Nonetheless, if people want, I am more than happy to keep track of everything we find...
I went ahead and rolled the missing Initiative and crit confirmation as it seemed more sensible than holding up the game... which turned out well for Lavender, but not so good for Keldar... ah, dicebot, you fickle mistress you! ;)
...and I swear, there is method to my madness with all of the 'non-lethal' attacks - I am trying to justify in character my feat choice for next level :-)
That, and having someone to interrogate later might be useful...
I like how the rules say to not use profanity or vulgar speech, yet when we do, they bleep out all but the first letter so it is clear what is written anyway.
Don't get yourselves killed trying to rescue Yousef. If you can help him without damaging yourselves that would be great because this and Chops, are my favorite PC's to date that I have played. But I don't want you to run into the fire and get killed too.
Actually, I forgot there really wasn't much to worry about. I keep forgetting that fire is only dangerous in real life. In the game it is only a minor inconvenience. That is, unless ProfPotts does what my DM did and make anyone running into fire roll a Will save, which is entirely appropriate.
Anyway, I wish Yousef was awake for that to give a slow motion "Noooooooooooooo.....
