Grindy 1 moves towards Torque! (and sets off any AoOs!)

If I understand correctly I'm L? And the x next to me tries to jump into the ocean? So because I'm still holding my sword I get an AoO unlike with my gun.

Unless I am mistaken, Aoro killed the three grindylows. Their is no enemy taking anyone. The two gunmen can swim to shore or get back on deck. Correct me otherwise.

I don't think that's the case, even if it is that means only one is left with 1 hp. No way it is getting away with two full grown men in tow or at all for that matter with my range. >:)


I do agree with Torque. I think there's a whole new pack of Grindy's absconding with the pair. As for taking them out? Good luck hitting things which are effectively submerged in the surf...:P Sometimes the rules are unkind.

Magic missile is a spell that auto hits. Above or below water does not make a difference. Waiting for the GM call, if that last grindylow is alive I will kill it and the result remains the same.


*Winces* Um....I think you're missing something there. MM won't go through a barrier. So the meniscus of the water will stop said spell. Kind of sucky, I know. Now...If Aoro were to dashingly jump over board and try casting his spell under water? Then I'm pretty sure you'd hit the little buggers. :)

I think defining water as a barrier is iffy and a GM call. Really the spell only fails to work if you can't see your target, magic missile can go around solid barriers after all. Projectiles get weakened by going into water but it does not stop them like a real barrier would. Sense it is a spell, not a projectile then it would not even get slowed down. Again this does not matter sense Aoro has a swim speed, in the water, out of the water. Result is the same. Really just want to move on.

Hi everyone!

Okay there's a lot to take in there. Torque and Sunny are right -- a new pack of grindylows stole your people. But this pack isn't run under the Mook rules, so you're dealing with Grindies that have full hit points.

Magic missile is not stopped by Water. I'll have to double check in Cerulean Seas, but I don't think they mentioned how magic missile works -- I assume it works.

So, that is the end of this encounter. Do you want to rest and go after your people (and reclaim any spell slots), or do you want to jump in and save them?
