Who?
I mean is it current or planned cause really who on the wormwood would even be a maybe. For the love of all things holy dont say Sunny. >.<
A nuber of people think Grok is not so bad. Sure she is a half-orc, but has a great attitude and one can't be too picky on a ship. ;)

I know Mate I know. as was I. I think that it is awesome that you have feelings for Sandra. I hope things work out better for you then me honestly at you have a chance she is an NPC.

Not if I roll bad lol, if you notice I try to avoid d20's (They HATE me.)
Lanliss Rainscribe |
Dude but you can whooo someone who doesn't have their own mind. LOL. just use charm person on her. LOL that get's them everytime. Or just barrow some elixir from Sunny
Aoro Osris |
Hey I am picky in the hotness score, not race sense really I am half angel-fish myself. Once Aoro is free he will put his silver tongue against a number of hearts but for now its all business. ;)
I fear the future, not good to mix love and allies you cant afford to lose. Things go wrong and they can turn to enemies quick.
Lanliss Rainscribe |
Well, it happened so quick with Lanliss and Sunny. I wasn't expecting it to happen till she got invited in to the game. I was just hoping that it would be a pipe dream for him to find her again someday. LOL but since she got captured with the rest of us. it kinda struck a chord.
Lanliss Rainscribe |
*smiles* oh Herbert. I am glad that your a tailor and not a lover. OHH..... LOL j/k man. that is a great thing to do for her. I respect you for it. all I can do for her is make her prettier. LOL +4 to Cha. or I can make her other things...
'Sunny' |
Ah....and now the talk comes around to the true loves of any Pirate, their ships. :P
Yup, pretty ships are expensive, though there are some interesting things one can do with feats at the right levels and such.
*Rubs hands together and plots*
(^_^)
'Sunny' |
Aye! A ship is more than just a a rudder and some sails and a crew. Now, what a true ship is? Is freedom....*Adds all theatrical voice and waves hands off in direction of random horizon...*
Yes I watch a certain trilogy a tad too much. ;)
Aoro Osris |
I am talking about building a ship using the rules in the players guide. As in stuff that effects ship vs ship combat, travel speed, cargo holding, and such. Some of the stuff cant be added but must be built during ship construction. >.<
I know with magic and certain methods you can add to it. When it comes to making it nasty for boarding parties or just as a stronghold. That's a whole other issue, I got plenty of ideas for that too. You can bet I am taking the leadership feat. ^.^

Two Pieces of Tarnished Silver
I enjoyed this. The ship seems awesome, as long as the captain runs the ship and not the other way around.
Herbert Degrasse |
The other interesting bit I remember reading is that some ships are made to shift decks and whatnot as a way to disguise the ship. That seems cool as hell. A ship that has a modular deck system would rule. We could alter the decks and sails and no one would know who or what we were about.
'Sunny' |
Meh....once you HAVE your ship you WANT every one to know who you are...
...So that they may properly QUAKE IN FEAR! At your mighty Pirate presence!
After all, they say there's a ship....A ship so dangerous that none dare even speak it's name.....*Looks about nervously*
(^_^)
Aoro Osris |
Yeah but in the shackles every ship is pretty much considered a pirate ship. Merchant lanes would also follow that as a rule. As a pirate ship I would not bother with it unless I wanted to lure other pirates, which is not my style.
The one I built is fast, nimble, tough, and has alot of cargo space. Everything a pirate ship should be. I did not put any weapons yet.
Mostly I am doing this to save time later and I am a bit bored. xD
Aoro Osris |
T.T
Even without going nuts with the gold, not enchanting the siege weapons and ammo. The total cost of the flagship comes to 97,400 gp. Without weapons and ammo its 76,500 gp. A run of the mill sailing ship class goes for 10,000 gp.
..............
I am taking every gold coin in the shackles! No ship is safe and no man on the sea will go unsold until I get my ship! >;P
But really thats alot of plunder to amass, going to be putting my silver tongue to work for a long time.

Let no copper piece be left behind!
Be sure to steal all the furniture, pets, decorations and forks, every CP counts!
'Sunny' |
So...on this ship? Rigger.
On her own ship? Captain. :P
"Take everything and leave nothin' behind!" *Clinks edge of drinking mug*
Aoro Osris |
Yeah Aoro would like to be a Captain when he considers himself ready, until then he is fine in a number of roles as long as he knows he would be well suited to them. First Mate would be nice for now. He would only consider being Captain early if no one else is better suited for the job. Not going to follow someone who does not have the right mindset for the job.
I think we will get to the point where we can each have our own ship if we want. After all we are not going to sink every ship we steal from, they should sell pretty good if their not better then our current one.
'Sunny' |
I don't expect to be 'Captaining' anything until about, what, 7th level or so?
By 7th level characters should be running around with enough moneys to buy and equip ships, etc.
Guns! Where do we get GUNS!
:P
Aoro Osris |
Yeah I doubt we will see guns. If we do maybe just one or two in the whiole adventure path. Unless the GM changes things, after all only one place in the world makes them so not common right.
Around 7th level we could get ships easy, but I am trying to get a great ship. Sadly those are hard to steal or costly to build. But looking over things only two improvements cant be added after the ship is built, so it would only cost 11000 gp or 12500 gp to start. Much better. ;)
'Sunny' |
(^_^)
Oh...don't worry. The party will see guns. (^_^)
Hey, try looking up 'Live ship' from an old Dragon magazine (Issue 300 something) basically the ship is a giant construct. :)
'Sunny' |
*Eyes Lanliss...* Them's fightin' words..........(¬_¬)
Lanliss Rainscribe |
what type of fighting words? I never said anything about fighting with ya did I? I thought I said the other f word with ya... hmm maybe I was wrong.. *wink wink*
'Sunny' |
No...it's just the whole "Guns Vs Bombs" thing.
Now, if you'd said "Pirates Vs Ninjas" that would be bringing on a whole new level of apocalypse. :P
Aoro Osris |
I had a pirate wizard PC around lvl 13. Was a magical crafter with his own ship, it was so great. Arcane cannons with spell ammo, a self healing ship, and so many goodies for any uninvited boarders. Beats unstable gunpowder cannons that require crews and short ranged bombs any day. ;P
Btw we should invest in a Decanter of Endless Water and a Cauldron of Plenty for emergencies when we get a ship. A sailing ship needs at least 20 people to crew and counting ourselves we are well with in the 36 person limit. Nothing like running out of water or food in the middle of the sea to get us all killed.
'Sunny' |
Aye, life in any setting is much better with magic to help alleviate things we use technology for.
Though, on the 'cheap' side, having just a Cleric is a good way to stave off many of the ills of the olden times. :)
Also, what's that 'Magic spoon' which can at least make some porridge? Add a cantrip (Prestidigitation) and at least you've got a descent breakfast. (^_~)
A dose of scurvy one one? For 'Old times sake'. :P
@ Lanliss: You are a wise man, sir. *Bows*
'Sunny' |
Um...more than one spoon? Also, help cut down on anything transmittable?
Gee...been so long since I looked up the actual item. Still..not bad to sort of put in a 'For emergencies, so as not to have to resort to eating crew' not a bad thing to have.
Lanliss Rainscribe |
Well, I have never been in pirate ship before, I was always on a little ships looking for work with explorers and what not. Never had to worry about ninja's attacking the boat like we will have here. I am surpised that no one choose ninja to go on this adventure with us... *smiles* Thanks Sunny that is why I am an Alchemist because I am smart!
*mixes a gin and tonic* and hands it to sunny... Drink up
'Sunny' |
*Looks at offered drink*....
...*Turns up nose*...
It doesn't have any Rum in it. :P
*Thinks about feeding Lanliss to the crew after their post about Ninja/Pirates thing* (^_~)
I am still very thank full folks offered me a spot in your game.
Very much heart felt thank you to all.
Lanliss Rainscribe |
*mixes up some rum and coke instead* here you are Sunny
Sunny sunny sunny.. Do not worry we will not have to worry about that for quite some time. I think that when that happens I will be running my own ship by then LOL and we all know that will not happen
Aoro Osris |
Getting a bunch of spoons would end up costing more then the single cauldron. Also the food is created magically so you cant spread anything. The difference between the spoon and the cauldron is that the cauldron makes more, taste better, and once a week can create a hero's feast on top of normal food.
Crew plus PCs would be 26 total so thats 7 spoons compared to 1 cauldron with enough extra food for 10 more people then needed. The price of 7 spoons could buy 2 cauldrons easy. Like I said the spoon is kinda pointless with the number of people.

Ah...okay, yah being shown the numbers does show an appreciable difference.

Duo was originally a ninja but, I changed him to an oracle.
