I prefer Jinx Jumper. But really its just a name for our first ship, we will likely change or upgrade sortly after. Sense the ship is not really that impressive by pirate standerds. Thats why it was going to be sold after all. ^.^

After the punishments are done with Aoro will start considering officers and granting them their positions. He will also have Sandra look over the items in case she can ID them and he will give out the loot accordingly.

Torque how did you get your result. I converted everything to gold and divided by 4. The total was 379 gp before being split.

Currently the only item Aoro will claim is the waxed coat with many hidden pockets. Anything not given out will be ships loot. Anyone have their eye on anything?

OOC I think they may be an amulet of natural armor and bracers of armor. Both of which Aoro would like but not if someone else can make better use of them. I am guessing bracers of armor would only be useful to Aoro sense he cant wear armor. If I remember right Sunny already has a necklace of natural armor she was given from our reward from the raid so it would fall to Gene or Torque if thats what it is.

Bracers of armor can be used by monk's. This is because, regardless of the name the bracers are not actually true armor. At lest thats how I have come to understand it.

Unless I am mistaken our ship does have guns. It did when it was being taken anyways.

Until I get a response to my PM I cant really fill some of the roles, at least not without the chance of removing someone I just placed in that role. Which is never a good thing. Fishguts is an exception in his case. ;)

Pirates Code:

• Every member of the crew gets an equal share of treasure. Anyone caught taking more than his fair share of loot, or refusing to report its discovery in a timely manner, shall be marooned. The captain receives extra shares of any treasure, as do shipwrights, carpenters, and officers to lesser degrees.
• Every member of the crew must tend to his own weapons and keep them ready for battle.
• Anyone who shows cowardice in the face of the enemy or deserts in battle shall have his throat cut or be marooned.
• No crew member shall hide his abilities from the crew. A sailor who can perform magic shall use his abilities on behalf of the ship.
• No crew member shall take a position on a new ship or talk of leaving until each crew member has acquired at least 1,000 gp worth of treasure through his labors.
• No fighting is allowed between crewmates. Quarrels shall be set aside until shore leave, at which point grievances may be settled with violence on shore.
• All crew members must obey the captain and his officers.
• Any pirate found stealing from crewmates shall take 30 lashes and be put ashore at port.

Shipboard Conduct:

• Any sailor caught below deck with open flame, magical or mundane, will suffer 10 lashes. All candles and lanterns are to be extinguished at sunset.
• No sailor is to play cards or dice for money while onboard, nor use such things to take advantage of her crewmates on shore.
• No sailor is to bring aboard a husband, wife, child, person of ill virtue, or any passenger unbeknownst to the captain. Both sailor and passenger face marooning.
• Every sailor must do her fair share of work, and neither shirk her duty nor pass off work to another, lest she face 20 lashes. A ship’s bard may rest 1 day per week, but must stand ready to entertain on all others.
• Every sailor receives an equal share of food and drink, and 1 ration of liquor every day.
• Any sailor found drunk on duty shall face 10 lashes. Any sailor too drunk to function effectively during battle shall be killed.

I say we find out how much the squibbing is going to cost before anything. Really we cant afford to lose people, we are a skeleton crew as is, not trying to get stuck out at sea in pirate waters.

P.S. Aoro has nearly 400 gp himself, so if everyone pulls their loot unless its an insanely high price we should at least be able to pay a good chunk if not all of it. Not to mention Aoro's diplomacy is not for show when haggling. x3

well Sunny Gene really wants muskets (Are we going advanced weapons?) So If your wanting a pistol please speak up. Gene can't get 1/2 the amount of damage out of them ever as he can muskets so I am very willing to pass on them if your wanting to use them. (I just plan to sell them other wise.)

Sunny if your talking about something taken during the raid, unless I am mistaken (DM correct me), we did not keep any of it. Sense all loot is taken by the Captain and dished out by him as he see's fit. If I remember right Gene got the rifle we were rewarded. Again correct me if I am wrong, too tired to look thru the post to check. xP

Everything that goes unclaimed and is not useable on the ship should be sold. Market runs will be normal to unload plunder as well as loot. So if no one is using the pistols then they go in the armory, for crew use during raids. If the crew cant use pistols then they will be sold, not sure if they can. That sound good?

Perhaps people should petition what they would like. Such as Torque wanting the amulet, the unclaimed stuff gets converted to cash.

Our main problem with that Torque is that we have no one to ID the magical items. We can only guess what the amulet does, unless you want to test it out. In which case be the test subject for all of them. >:)

As far as I was aware that was the case Aoro.

(At the moment Gene has the pistols the rounds for them and the powder. Because Torque told he to take them in game chat.)

Aoro would need to put a rank in both to use them because they can't be used other wise.

Awwwwww hell I forgot about that. It was when I was not sure about the insribe magical tattoo feat. It does not require spellcraft so I dropped the skill but it looks like I never changed it. xZ

In that case I guess Aoro will be IDing the magical items. Remind me to pick up a wand of identify. >.>

From what I remember, Sunny did indeed squirrel away a gun, but it was a musket not a rifle. Rifles are advanced firearms while muskets aren't. REALLY, REALLY BIG difference there.

As for the subject of advanced firearms, I'm not going to include them in casual loot or even allow the casual crafting of one. They will be allowed, however, and the finding of one, the designing of a schematic and subsequent crafting of one, or the finding of a schematic and subsequent crafting of one will probably be an adventure in and of itself. I want it to be really special.

The way I read it, it isn't viable to take 20 on Spellcraft checks to identify items. There is a penalty on failure: you get the same results each time during the same day. Meaning, if you failed the first time, you'd automatically fail each time until the day passes. I'll just make the checks for Aoro each day to see if he can discern the properties of the item.
