Sorry, but yer post seems t' be sayin' ye jus' hide in'a hole all day an' I now ye t'be a nicer type o' person than some one who just, y'know, hangs around an' such. (^_^)

As in your methods seem....odd and might possibly be construed as maybe 'lazy' by those in charge. Just some thoughts. (^_^)

Sense fishguts is sober and so I am free I think I will use this time to try and finish off Cog.

Well besides being blind and not being able to drink to save my life at least I got Shivikah to indifferent. xP

DM could you update the NPC list. If I remember right Cog is friendly, Badger is unfriendly (sweet roll Duo), and Shivikah is now indifferent.

Thats 6 crewman left hostile. Depending on post may target a hostile or finish up a non hostile.

Edit-Aw man sorry Duo, I took fishguts and it turns out he made no change to my roll. If you had him then your roll would have worked on Aretta. x(

Ouch Lanliss she is still hostile. If you had used that on Cog he would have become helpful, on Badger she would have become indifferent, or on Shivikah she would have become helpful. Kinda glad none of these guys so far have a Cha mod, no fights or attacks thanks to that. x3

Um may want to take a look at the link. Duo only got a 24 on his roll for Aretta, he needed a 25 (assuming she has no Cha mod) so he failed to change her from hostile to unfriendly. You rolled a 21 vs a hostile which is still under 25 so she remains hostile. If she was unfriendly then your roll would have been enough to get her to indifferent. So Aretta is still hostile and both rolls failed, even though they were pretty close.

Okay Aoro, so I do do not know all of the rules but I will say is that I am looking at having fun with this and I think that my 21 is good enough to turn them it will. If not fine too but I think that my roll should do it who knows only the gm knows so please let me have the fun that I am looking for

I am not trying to spoil your fun. But the game runs off rules, without them its not a game. Would you like it if a NPC rolled high, did not meet your DC but still effected you, I doubt it. It works both ways. I dont know all the rules, I look them up repeatedly to make sure most of the time. But I am aware of them when making a choice, I like to know my odds. :Z

Yeah when you have played pbp with people who have to be told they can only post a certain amount believe me you know story counts. Still as I see it a 1st lvl gnome can be a world class writer that insulted dragon is having a gnome treat regardless. Their are limits and those who know them thrive, but thats a personal view. I am just the prepare for the worst, hope for the best type. Should just take my opinions with a grain of salt most of the time.

On a sidenote, cheesecake is evil. It is a seductress that will destroy your body with a smile and a kiss. That being said I hate myself as I eat this triple chocolate slice of cheesecake, damn it to the abyss. Or rather my belly. xP

As for how I approach things, I tend to stick by the rules for the most part and only manipulate them slightly when it'll prove beneficial. Sometimes failing checks proves to be as or more interesting than succeeding in them due to the creation of conflict, a necessary part of an interesting story.

I must admit to having made some rather....lackluster...class choices in other games.

You know multiclassing, healer, tank, spy, or ship pilot etc etc. Stuff like that.

I plan on Aoro going pure sorcerer while focusing on social skills and battle spells. He wont be suited for a ship roll per se but he will be helpful in a fight, as well as out of combat when it comes to interacting with people.
