Really then that means with my diplomacy I could turn Plugg and Scourge. The same reason even with a nat 20 I cant turn them is the same reason I cant turn those officer's. Thats why their on the same list, hell if I could turn them then I would have turned the captain with my high mod. Not to mention those two likely have Cha comparable or greater then my own. Seeing as one is a sorceress and the other is a healer which means good chance of cleric or oracle.

No matter how high the diplomacy sometimes it does not matter due to the persons fundamental nature. No captain much less a pirate free captain is going to have officers that he cant trust or take. His core officers I would say fall under trust while Plugg, Scourge, and those with/like him fall under the take.

I prefer the more reasonable path. Its been working great for me, so dont knock it.

Going missing and snooping around the officer's quarters when you have a reputation for rash ill advised action are two totally different things. Your on a ship in the middle of the sea, you cant really go anywhere. If he was killed then its a little late at this point and no one more so the two rats are going to hide it in fact they would parade that information around. If he is alive then he will show up for duty or public punishment. Their is zero reason to do anything at this point when the odds say we will find out from one of the rats if only because you can count on them to gloat ill fortune upon any on our side.

Giving the enemy an excuse to punish you and goad you is only going to be to their advantage. Aoro dont play that, he will wait and see or gain information in his own way.

Off the record I say he is being strung up by his toes or has a date with the sweatbox. Unless Peppery did something magical to him, depending on her lvl Lanliss may be a gold fish in a bowl on her mantle right now. xP

Yeah Aoro would like to be a Captain when he considers himself ready, until then he is fine in a number of roles as long as he knows he would be well suited to them. First Mate would be nice for now. He would only consider being Captain early if no one else is better suited for the job. Not going to follow someone who does not have the right mindset for the job.

I think we will get to the point where we can each have our own ship if we want. After all we are not going to sink every ship we steal from, they should sell pretty good if their not better then our current one.

The more I think about it the better you are right aoro but I would ask duo first what he wants to do but he would make a better doc and I can support him with potions ect an help out with the gunnery and what not I never thought about it like that.

Oh placing my bombs inside a cannon sweet! So we can have awesome bombs and then avid bombs for icky creatures and what not. You have made my mind work so who knows

Alestone- Boatswain, Helmsman, Master at Arms, Captain, First Mate
Herbert- Boatswain, Master at Arms, Quartermaster, Rigger
Lanliss- Master Gunner, Surgeon
Aoro- Master at Arms, Quartermaster, Captain, First Mate
Sunny- Boatswain, Rigger
Duo- Surgeon, Cook, Quartermaster

This is all based on how everyone currently is. A level up or two can change stuff.

I noticed something odd when I looked at your sheet. I assume you took the spirit of the waters alternate racial. If thats the case you do not have the aquatic subtype, the +8 to swim is +4, and without a feat your no longer proficient with the elven curve blade. Also dont know how you have a land speed of 30 with a swim speed of 40. If I am way off on any or all of this could you let me know where all that came from sense I am curious.

While Alestone is probably the best "sailor" I don't think he's bossy enough to be captain. We'll wait and see how things work out though.

Personally I think Alestone would make a great helmsman with his high sailor skill. Not to mention his toughness will make him hard to take out in ship to ship combat.

You're just Cooking today, Aoro, so you don't have to Work Diligently in order to pass. That's only for the Fishing, Turtle Hunting, or Special Occasiona jobs. Basically, any time you'd have to make two skill checks b/c Ambrose is drunk. If you're doing it for the bonus, though, more power to you. Just wanted to mention it in case.

8 hours. He'll be out in time for the evening set of actions, provided he survives. It's one Fortitude save per hour.
