"If I had the time and a kit, I could easily treat your wounds before you sleep tonight. As it is, I am without the supplies I need, and working on anyone of you is harder because of it." Lillith tells Nazdip. "It's amazing how simple it is to sew flesh back together when you have to patch a doll."
Terri starts to laugh, but winces from teh wounds she took.
"Ooow. Please don't make me laugh, Lillith. I'm in enough pain as is."
Though she's smiling, her breathing and her stance show that she's still in a lot of pain.
Terri Riverrun |
"If you could stitch bone, then I wouldn't mind a bit. I think the guy who whacked me broke some ribs."
Terri winces again, and looks at Odo.
"Would you mind helping me to the bench?"
Odo Tealeaf |
Oh, yes... sure. Odo replied, feeling uneasy after seeing what was left after the attack. He helps Terri get on the bench limping from time to time. I have a healing kit, and though I don't fancy using it, I still think it's a better idea for me to use it instead of you. I will also prepare some healing spells for the morning, and if the tomorrow's breakfast is good, I might not even charge you for it. He snickered and started looking in his bag for his healing kit.

"Oh don't know if you want me fixing it. I'm a terrible cook."
Terri sits still and quiet while Odo goes abou his work. when he finishes,
"Thank you, hopefully I won't be too stiff to move tomorrow. It looks like you got hurt a bit as well, maybe my lost sister could help you fix that."
She points at Lillith to show who she meant.
Terri Riverrun |
"That and the guy using it had to be part ogre. He was certainly big enough."
GM Buggula |
Back at the tavern, a halfling woman looks up from her sweeping and calls out to you all "kitchen's closed, need lodging?" She climbs up on a stool almost as tall as her to reach the desk and takes your names in the ledger, then leads you upstairs to your rooms.
Morning comes and greets you with more warm aromas drifting up from the kitchen downstairs.
Terri Riverrun |
"Ooooooowwwwwwww."
Terri gets up and moves stiffly from her wounds. She gets dressed and heads downstairs to the common area, and gets one of the serving girls' attention.
"May I have some of whatever is making this place smell so good? I'll also take a cup of mead if you have some."
Terri is at 1 hp.
Muroi |
Muroi wakes up and hug the pillow for a moment. He gets up, dresses and go downstairs following the delicious aromas. "Good morning". Sits close to Terri "How are you? Do you feel better? and he continues talking to the serving girl who is attending to Terri "Some hot chocolate, please"

Terri Riverrun |
"Still hurting, but a little better."
Terri smiles at Muroi to put him at ease.
"So you like sweets, huh?"
Nazdip Stinkblade |
Nazdip comes into the room, clutching his injured shoulder. He mutters a few choice Goblin curses, and then grumbles, "It hurts where I didn't even know I had places."
"Hopefully someone has prepared some healing spells today? I don't think we're going to fare well if more trouble shows up today otherwise."
He pokes his head through the door to the kitchen, and asks, "I don't suppose there's some cold stew left from last night?"

"New Stetvon, but I remember growing up in Varisia."
Terri looks off into the distance, as if she was seeing something not really there.
"I remember the Swallowtail Festivals the most. It was beautiful, seeing so many butterflies in one place."
When Nazdip walks in and mentions what he's craving, Terri sticks out her tongue in disgust, it still manages to look cute though.
"I have heard of certain foods tasting better cold than warmed again, but I cannot imagine stew being one of them."
Lillith Leagallow |

"Stew reheated isn't that bad when there is little else. Old stew on the other hand, is quite disgusting." Lillith says as she walks over and takes a seat. "Some hot water and oatmeal with spices is a favorite way of mine to start the day."

The woman raises an eyebrow at Muroi's request. "I'll...see what we have. The lady in the kitchen chuckles, "We've got some left, but you don't need to eat it cold. I'll warm some for you."
The waitress returns shortly with steaming plates of breakfast meats, eggs, and bread, as well as some warm stew for Nazdip, mead for Terri, and hot chocolate for Muroi. As you eat, you notice an man in chainmail covered with an official-looking tabard enter and speak quietly to the hostess before departing. She then approaches your table. "A certain man of some high standing wishes to speak with you all when you've finished your meal. You may meet him outside when you're through."
Terri Riverrun |
"I wonder what he wants."
Terri finishes eating and sips on the mead while the others finished.
Muroi |
Muroi takes a sip of the drink that she serves and immediately thinks to himself: "It is not hot chocolate, it doesn´t taste like hot chocolate. I miss the mom´s hot chocolate." However, he drinks this beverage and eats the eggs and bread. With each sip of this drink he makes a face, trying to hide from the other people.
Looking at Terri "I wonder the same."
Looking at Lillith "I don´t think so, but who knows?"
When everybody has finished to eat, he stands up "Let´s go to see what is going on outside"..."Later, We should try to sell the weapons and armors we took from the bandits in this town"
Terri Riverrun |
"Maybe, but I am not that trusting of those in power."
Terri takes another sip of the mead and turns to Lillith.
"If it's not too forward, mind if I ask where you are from?"

Ekan's clothes have a touch of flash, meant for an entertainer as they are. The dark hues have bright borders and tassels, though the latter are in no place where they might risk catching into the string. The colors he wears are similar to those of House Lodovka (for those that know such) but not in mockery or presumption. His bright blue eyes stare not at his fingers, but rather accompany a smile for the listeners. A mop of wheat colored hair is half hidden under a fine cap with a feather.
Nazdip Stinkblade |
Nazdip tucks into the stew, obviously enjoying it. After emptying the bowl, he cleans it with a piece of bread, and then re-filled his bowl with meat and eggs, which he also finishes in short order. "I could get used to this!"
"Shall we go see what this 'man of high standing' wants with us beings of low standing?"
Terri Riverrun |
"We shall, I guess."
Terri gets up and looks at Lillith, her smile more sad than happy.
"You were lucky. My parents and I were born slaves, but I guess Desna smiled on us. We were freed and I've been following naught but my conscious and my whims ever since."
She makes her way to the door. When she reaches it, she looks back at the others with a mischievous glint in her eyes.
"And right now, my whims tell to go see what all the fuss over us is about."
GM Buggula |
You walk out into the bright morning sun to find a group of similarly clad guards scattered around the street. A finely dressed man is conversing with the mayor across the street, and noticing your group walks over to greet you. "I am Lord Javoki Ladovka, of Restov. I understand I owe you my thanks - I bring men to aid in the security here, but if not for you, would have been too late. The mayor has told me of your deeds - quite impressive for such an unknown group of halflings, especially since you have no loyalty or ties to this village.
"Brevoy has need of fine citizens such as yourselves. There has been an alarming rise in banditry and other dangers in the Stolen Lands that lie on our southern border - to the extent that it's becoming a threat to our nation's security. You've proven yourselves capable, and I'm prepared to offer you all a charter to map and explore the region and deal with any threats you find there. I am prepared to provide fifty gold apiece to fund the expedition if you accept. What say ye?"
Feel free to read Ekan's spoiler above.
Nazdip Stinkblade |
"We've taken some pain defending this village; Terri here was almost killed, and I took grievous arrow wounds. Is there any reward on offer for fighting to save this village while there was still a granary to defend?"
"We could also use some magical aid for our wounds if you can arrange it, right now we're at least a week away from being able to defend ourselves again."
Ekan Waterfield |
Ekan had stopped playing when the others came out and Lord Javoki started to speak. He'd tipped his hat to the ladies coming out, but when he heard Nazdip speak of wounds, he gently coughts into his hand, "Excuse my interuption, my lord, but perhaps I could help them?" He introduces himself to his fellow halflings," My name is Ekan Waterfield. I'm no cleric, but I have some small healing melodies and magic."
Ekan Waterfield |
"Sounds good to me, though my own singing has never done anything but cause people to pay me to stop."
Ekan laughs at that, then puts a hand gently on Nazdip's shoulder, and sings, "Shadow flees before the light, all dawns must spring from night... hope is a power and power like a river flows... Love is tested and so it grows... all that's wrong can be set to right."
cure light wounds: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
He then turns to look about for the other Nazdip mentioned, "Terri, was it? If you'll grant permission, I'll attend to you next. I have one left in me after all."
Terri Riverrun |
Terri looks nervous as she spots the guards around the street. Calm down. Just calm down, these aren't like those other men, I hope. She notices the halfling tipping his hat at her and Lillith, and quickly looks away, feeling embarrassed. She listens to Lord Ladovka's speech and smiles at Nazdip's quip.
When Ekan asks to tend to her wounds, all pretenses of calmness fly as she answers.
"Y-yes, it was. I-I would be grateful for t-that."
Her face turns bright red as she stutters over the words and seems to shrink as she finishes.
Odo Tealeaf |
Odo approaches the others drawn by the music and yawning from time to time. "What a great performance you made. And I see it even cures the wounds. So... you must be, the reinforcements? He looked perplex at Muroi hoping that someone will fill out the gaps. Anyway, if you are with these fine fellows, you are also my friend. Odo Tealeaf is the name.
He touches Nazdip's shoulder and Odo's arm illuminates. As promised, I hope you don't mind. I forgot to tell you, but... you did fairly well last night. I am mostly avoiding direct confrontation. Odo said ashamed of his actions during the attack.

Then he withdraws his hand still smiling, "Hope that helped."
"Thank you, Ekan. That was certainly a more entertaining form of healing than I've experienced before."
Nazdip tenatively moves his arm a few times, wincing a little.
"That's a lot better, but looks like I will still need some time to heal up. Thanks!"
"Well, thank you, sorry it didn't help more..."
Odo approaches the others drawn by the music and yawning from time to time. "What a great performance you made. And I see it even cures the wounds. So... you must be, the reinforcements? "Ah, a real healer proper. Nice to meet you, Odo. I do hope you and the others will consider this good noble's offer." He says with a glance to Lord Javoki, "Lord Lodkova has stressed to me how much this land is in need of good people to help the civilized folk being preyed upon. It sounds like you've all started right proper with this place."

Nazdip looks surprised, "Ho! Healing from two people, I'm either doing something right or something wrong. Thank you both again, I feel like I could fight horses now!"
"Ekan, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to be rude, I just meant I had taken quite a beating yesterday. Your healing is welcome, and a kindness I'm not used to receiving."
"As for Lord Javoki's offer...I have been sent here to learn how to be civilized, it seems a noble group of halflings doing good work is just who I need to be with. The constable would be proud of me with these companions."
Muroi |
Looking at the new member of the group:"Hello Ekan. My name is Muroi. Thanks for your help."
Looking at Odo: "Morning Odo. Nice to see you again"
Looking at the Lord: "It seems like we are going to the south. Excuse me Lord Lodkova, do you have more information about this mission and the place we are going? It´s obvious we need some equipment and maybe other stuff, could you buy some weapons and stuff we have and provide us some things we will need?"
Looking at the halflings: "Sorry guys if I talk by you, but think we need to sell here the bandits stuff and buy things we will use in this mission before we start it"
Ekan Waterfield |
Ekan chuckles at Nazdip's apology, "No true offense taken, sir. I know my limitations."
Looking at the halflings: "Sorry guys if I talk by you, but think we need to sell here the bandits stuff and buy things we will use in this mission before we start it"
"Seems practical," the bard concedes. As for the questions being asked of Lord Javoki, he turns and listens, curious about much of this himself.
