So, it's coming up on PbP gameday time once again! And with a gameday, comes another multi-table special!
This is a recruitment thread for The Sky Key Solution, where you all will band together to unlock the mysteries of the artifact the Society spent an entire season compiling.
I am looking for five players for a 5-6 Tier game (a sixth is already accounted for). We'll be beginning promptly on August 27th and the special should run until October 11th. As these are timed scenarios, posting consistency will be important: In order to keep up with the pace and the other tables I will expect at least one post a day once we begin, and you in turn can expect the same from me.
If you're interested, please post the following information below:
Player Name:
Character name:
Race/Class/Level:
PFS#:
Faction:
Looking forward to unlocking the Sky Key with you all!
Jane Doe? |
I'm the "already accounted for" above. I'm pretty sure this is the character I'll be playing, assuming all my player/GM credit between now and then ends up going where I expect it to. I'll have a few backup options (Arcanist or Spirtualist most likely).
Player Name: Dan
Character Name: Jane Doe
Race/Class/Level: Elf Psychic (Amnesiac Mutation Mind) 6
PFS #: 120937-15
Faction: Grand Lodge
Balon |
I've expressed interest in running Balon through this scenario over on GM Hmm's recruitment thread but wanted to also make myself known here incase I don't make that one.
Player Name: Tyler Beck
Character name: Balon
Race/Class/Level: Dhampir Reliquarian Occultist 5
PFS#: 44004-13
Faction: The Exchange

Hi. I don't have any tier appropriate characters because I am fairly new to PFS. Would you be open to a pregen? I am willing to fill any roll.
Also, my vacation is winding up around the start time. I may not be able to post until August 29 or 30th.
No hard feelings if these conditions disqualify me. Because I'd be running a pregen, feel free to use my application to fill the table if needed.
GM Zoomba |
I would prefer not to run a pregen in this particular instance, partially because in 5-6 there isn't a clear pregen level to bring. That said therealthom I will keep you in mind and if space is not an issue I will let you know.
Paladin of Baha-who? (love the name by the way) you could play a level 4, though in-tier would be best.
Odo the Bold |
If you're still looking for players, I've got a 5th level halfling paladin, reasonably well-suited for helping his fellow Pathfinders (with lucky halfling and battle cry feats).
Player Name: Bill Dunn
Character Name: Odo the Bold
Race/Class/Level: halfling paladin 5
PFS#: 53494-1
Faction: Liberty's Edge

So, if everyone is still interested in playing, it looks like we have ourselves a party ready to explore the mysteries of the Sky Key!
The current roster is:
Jane Doe, Psychic 6
Wadi, Cleric 5
Paladin of Baha-Who?, Warpriest 4 or witch
Raul, melee Cleric 5
Odo, Paladin 5
Adeah, Gunslinger/Occultist 5
Baha-who?, do you know which character you are interested in bringing?

Because it's a special, I'm going to cash in the following boons, details on my character sheet.
Draw From The Deck: 1d6 ⇒ 5 +2 WIS
Fluff: 1d9 ⇒ 6 The Carnival, Illusions and False Dreams. Interesting...
Gift From Arwyll Manor: Asking my buddies back in Lastwall for a shiny new wand of cure light wounds.
Prophetic Dream 1d4 ⇒ 1 Dream of Etheric Flight
Spoils of the Siege: Buying the Lesser Versatile Magic Rod
On a related note, I have several boons that effectively represent NPCs swooping in to make skill checks and similar rolls. Given the unique nature of this scenario, I wanted to see about how you want to run those before the issue comes up directly. I'm fine with not using them if we're in a situation where they wouldn't be handy, or having them spontaneously appear like the infamous Liberty's Edge pig farmers.
GM Zoomba |
As someone who recently used a boon to make a teenager appear on the opposite side of the continent and a different plane for 3 seconds of work, I am fine with people 'popping up' if that's what's needed to use the boons you've earned. While this is a unique scenario (as you will soon see), its also a special with many, may other Pathfinder agents exploring just like you: perhaps they've allowed an ally to tag along for assistance.
On a side note, yeah, I always forget about boons which is why I tend to skim them in RL when everyone's mustering at the table, just to remind myself of what exactly I have
