PbP PFS 3 - 04 The Kortos Envoy (7-11) (Inactive)

Game Master Beckett

The centaur tribes of the Isle of Kortos have long been an enigma to the people of Absalom. But the Pathfinder Society needs the help of one of the horsemen’s greatest heroes, in it falls to you to negotiate an agreement between the Decemvirate and the centaurs of the plains.

Task 1: To the north, there’s that freak harpy Jerevyx, somewhere up by Hollowfrost Pass. Follow the path up Mount Ganog. . .

Task 2: In the east, look for the minotaur Dahruun Firehorn, holed up in the old Northwind Mine. . .

Task 3: To the west, the thief Urso Landel makes camp somewhere in the forest. Retrieve stolen arms and armor. . .

Ok, can I have everyone post the following information. Once everyone has done so, feel free to use this thread as a normal Discussion thread for out of character talk. I'll also then start the game up.

All of this is for the Chronicle Sheet at the end.

4.) Old Faction and what new Faction you will b joining, even if it's the same
5.) a Day Job roll if you have it, or note No Day Job please

Ok, the Gameplay thread is open, and the intro is up. Please feel free to introduce yourselves, RP, and have fun.

Ravenmantle:
First, it's nice to have such a prolific contributor in the my game. :) Welcome aboard. Would it be possible for you to copy a few of your "quick combat stats" into the Race and Class/Levels section of your character, so that they appear under your character for quick access, like the others.

Dragorin:
Character look like they can be pretty nasty. :P Just curious what gives you the +2 Profane bonus to Fort?

Shadow Lodge

||CORE Rotating DM ||Fingerprints||King Xeros ||Serpent's Skull||

At the top of the page, as well as underneath my name each time I post is a link to the map. I have it set so that you can each edit it to be able to move yourselves around as needed. If there are any issues, please let me know. Also, feel free to let me know, preferably here rather than in the game thread, if you think I'm doing something wrong, or if you think you have an alternate ability/skill/spell/boon that might work. I try to be pretty open and encourage thinking outside the box. I'm also perfectly ok with players/characters trying to talk through things or avoid combat if they want. Might not happen, but you never know. At the same time, if a scenario says "this or that happens", I'm a bit stuck, too.

I'm also ok with answering questions, but if it's about something going on in the game that you wouldn't know about, I'll wait until afterwards, and let you know "you probably wouldn't know, but it will becoe clearer in a bit", or something.

I try to take my cues from the players. The more often you post, the quicker the game will be. The more RP you put in, the more I'll focus on that. The more you seem to enjoy tactical combat, the more in depth I'll go. The less so, the ore likely I'll skip optional encounters and maybe push through the end of a non-final encounter to keep things going (such as when you are surrounding the last minion). If you have a question, feel free to ask, or try it, all within reason. :)

Shadow Lodge

||CORE Rotating DM ||Fingerprints||King Xeros ||Serpent's Skull||

Also, what I tend to do for combats:

I'll roll all the init's and place the rolls into a spoiler.

I try to group like people together to move smoothly. So it might look like

Init Rolls:

Alan: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11
Dragorin: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (20) + 0 = 20
Ravenmantle: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
Xiaobo: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21
1d20 ⇒ 15
-----------------------------
Badguy 1-3: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
BBEG: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18

ROUND 1
Xiaobo (grappled) and Dragorin (stunned)
---------------------
BBEG ()
---------------------
Alan () and Ravenmantle (-17)
---------------------
Badguy 1 (-4), Badguy 2 (prone), and Badguy 3 ()

Inside the () I'll place the damage you have taken (not your or the NPC's current HP), throughout the combat just as a reminder, as well as any pertinent conditions or effects going on. All as a quick reminder.

I'll also bold whose turn(s) are currently up. This allows those that are up to go, and those that are coming up to prep. It's okay to post out of order, I'll put everyone in order as needed, but please keep in mind not to do something that might mess up someone else's action that comes before your's, such as charging into a square that they are most likely going to move into. If you do post out of order, please also note at the top of your post what round you are posting for.

Silver Crusade

Skills:
Acrobatics +3, Appraise +0, Bluff +4, Climb -1, Diplomacy +14, Disguise +4, Escape Artist +3, Heal -2, Intimidate +4, Perception -2, Ride +3, Sense Motive +7, Stealth +7, Survival -2, Swim -1
Vital:
HP 46/46, AC 22 T 15 FF 18, Per -2 Init +6, F +11* R +13* W +9*, CMB +7, CMD 22, Speed 30

Heck, we are still waiting to see if we can rebuild Warpriests after they removed an entire stat being used from the class or the Shaman when people built summoning specialists and then it removed all the summoning spells. Still waiting on the new Factions and rules on changing them. Still waiting on word if the new factions can take the corresponding nation based abilities, what's the deal with the Tech Guide with season 6, (it's in the PRD but is not core assumption, so you need to actually own the book), where it requires a new Feat to use skills at all on technology.

Shadow Lodge

||CORE Rotating DM ||Fingerprints||King Xeros ||Serpent's Skull||

If you can, they put out a PFS PbP survey, in hopes of improving the game. If you have a little time please head over to HERE and check it out. Please also spread the word.

Shadow Lodge

||CORE Rotating DM ||Fingerprints||King Xeros ||Serpent's Skull||

They have finally begun to give us some updates to the issues since Gencon. If you are interested, HERE is the link.

In brief, you automatically switch to the new faction if your old faction went away, but everyone gets 1 free faction change per character, and it looks like you get some time to decide.

Warpriests can have a full rebuild, switch Feats, add Archtypes, etc. . .

Other classes, not so much, (but unclear on the Archtypes).

Shamans, if you built a summoning Shamman type (the class lost all summon spells), can swap out feats and gear.

Still can not report new factions. . .

Very unclear answer about Technology (which requires a special Feat to interact with from the new Technology Guide that rewrites the basic game rules, which is on the PRD, but is not itself part of the Core Assumption, basically extremely bad form).

Shadow Lodge

||CORE Rotating DM ||Fingerprints||King Xeros ||Serpent's Skull||

Diplomacy really wasn't an option here, but, (and you wouldn't really have known this) she didn't see or hear you.

Shadow Lodge

I'm not sure what's going on that's cased the game to sort of stop. Are people confused about what's going on? Or waiting on others? Xiaobo hasn't posted yet, and I'm going to act for him in a little bit, then have the Harpies go, and then Alan has posted.

It just seems there has been minimal activity in game for about a week, and I need to know what is wrong before I can fix it.

1-34: Encounter at the Drowning Stones
2-08: The Sarkorian Prophecy
2-12: Below the Silver Tarn
All look good.

If you are feeling really ambitious and nice I wouldn't say no to playing the Echoes of the Everwar arc

Any of those scenarios would be fine by me. I haven't GMed or played any of them. Knowing where the Sarkorian Prophesy is set, that would be a particularly good one for Ravenmantle and I think it has some backstory that plays into Season 5.

I'll be reporting and posting up Chronicle Sheets soon.

If you could, please let me know what you thought of both the scenario, and also how I ran it. Both good and bad. I'd like to know how I can improve, and what sorts of things that people like. It's not going to hurt my feelings. :P

Also, if there are any questions about why something worked a certain way, I don't mind answering them.

Finally, (assuming you are interested), what scenario do we want? I'm really good with any, though Ruby Phoenix I think is going to need to wait a bit. Not against doing it, I just think too many people are not in the level range yet.
