Hi folks. Welcome to the discussion thread for the players signed up for this table. I'm really excited to GM this multi-table special for you. Once you've decided on a character to play, please check in by providing the following information:

Also, please post in the Gameplay thread, with a dot. The game will start on Friday June 9th. I'll do a quick roll call in the week leading up to that day to make sure everyone is present and ready, and will invite you to make an in-character introduction at that time.

Some expectations:
- Please have your character profile ready by June 1st. I'll read over your characters to make sure I understand everything
- I'd like everyone to post at least once a day. Things might slow down a bit over the weekends, but pace is quite important in a multi-table special like this one. I'll do what I can to check in regularly and keep the game going. Please inform me if you'll be away for an extended time.
- In case anyone goes missing for a while, I will generally move on without them. If we're in combat, my default action after 24 hours will be to put you on delay. If you would like me to bot you, please consider putting some instructions for me on your profile. For some suggestions, there's the excellent guide by Hmm: (Link).
- I tend to use quite a lot of spoilers for skill checks. I'll rely on the honor system that you won't read the spoiler unless someone makes the check.
- When necessary, I'll roll group perception and group initiative. If you have any reactive abilities interacting with these rolls, please let me know in advance.
- I use block initiative in combat. This means that I group PC's/NPC's together if they have similar initiative rolls. In case of NPC's of similar type, I only make one initiative roll for that group as a whole. Within a group of PC's with the 'same' initiative, I'll resolve actions in posting order.
- I use Google Presentations for maps and handouts. The link will be at the top of the campaign and on my GM profile.

I'm lucky I'm local. The hotel where the event is held is about 15 miles from my house. That means no air travel or hotel costs for me. Makes it much easier to attend.

Everyone, it's less than a week until the start of the special. I hope you're all as excited to get started, as I am. In preperation, I've gone over all your characters to make sure I got everything.

Shera, please let me know when you've updated to level 3.

Everything looks fine. Please remind me of Jabbing Style when you apply the bonus damage. I'm not very familiar with the feat, and would probably forget it and wonder where the extra damage came from.

Kitt
- You show +3 armor bonus, but only a leather armor. Is that correct?
- Your spell-like abilities section and (under Offense) says CL 2, same as you spell section. Should be 3, I think?
- Will you be writing the eidolon actions under its own alias?

Yarricki
- Could you break down how Thunder gets Strength 22? I think I'm missing a bonus somewhere...
- Would you like to make pre-emptive Ride attacks, for any round in which Thunder is possibly attacked? Or do it after the fact? I'm fine either way.

Double-post. Please be aware that we have two persons (Kitt and Yaricki) who are both intimately familiar with the scenario. I'm confident that they can keep in-game and out-game knowledge separated, but it might mean that the others will have to take a bigger lead in making decisions. I'll let this weigh in when there's a discussion on how/where to proceed, and with how many people have checked in to give their opinion.

Kitt will actually be lv4, he just completed a session yesterday so I will update it on Sunday. You're right about the CL, and I made a typo on the armor in his character sheet. I'm looking at his inventory list which I kept on another excel to track GP, expenditure, and fame. I had purchased a studded leather, not a leather armor, my mistake.

- Do you have a bonus language from somewhere? I'm seeing Common and Varisian from being Human, with 3 bonus languages from high Int?
- Where will you keep track of your arcane pool as you use up points?
- Could you describe for me how you get the attack and damage bonus from your card attacks? Do you assume that you always have the Arcane Pool enhancement up? Also, you don't actually have the Arcane Strike feat to add damage, do you? Or does that work automatically for the Card Caster archetype?

Kitajo - That works for me.

Yarricki - That's it, the animal focus is always up for the companion and thus included. Perfect.

I thought it was 8+4+4 (16) +3+2; since i took half rounded down for 1d8 at level 2 and 3. Am more than happy to add those 2 extra hp if I'm wrong though!

My bad, was debating with myself on whether I wanted Dovian to have Shoanti or Varisian roots and forgot to delete that extra language. Fixed

Arcane pool is written down more for myself to remember. I only have 4 arcane points so can't always assume it will be up. I'll announce when I'm using it and remove one arcane point in the tracker.

As for the arcane strike damage, Card Casters are able to enhance cards as per the Deadly Dealer feat even without meeting the prerequisites as long as there is 1 arcane pool point available. Furthermore, they can enhance a deck of cards as though it were a ranged weapon with 54 pieces of ammunition. So in effect, after activating a swift action to enhance it once, the effect would last for the entire card deck and is always up.

Card Caster archtype:
At 1st level, the card caster gains Deadly Dealer as a bonus feat, even if he does not meet the prerequisites. A card caster can invest cards with enough magic to deal lethal damage even without the Arcane Strike feat so long as he has at least 1 point in his arcane pool.

Deadly Dealer feat:
Prerequisite(s): Arcane Strike, Sleight of Hand 5 ranks.
Benefit(s): You can throw a card as though it were a dart, with the same damage, range, and other features. You must use the Arcane Strike feat when throwing a card in this way, or else the card lacks the magical force and precision to deal lethal damage. A card is destroyed when thrown in this way.
Harrow cards are treated as masterwork weapons when thrown using this feat, but are still destroyed after they are thrown. A harrow deck can no longer be used as a fortune-telling device after even a single card is thrown.
A spellcaster with this feat can enhance a deck of cards as though it were a ranged weapon with 54 pieces of ammunition. This enhancement functions only when used in tandem with this feat, and has no affect on any other way the cards might be used.
Only a character who possesses this feat can use an enhanced deck of cards; she must still use the Arcane Strike feat to activate the cards’ enhancement.

Dorian, hp for PFS is written on the guild guide page 26. D8 gets you 5hp per level at every level 2+.

Yarricky, which portrait would you like to use as a token for Thunder on the map? Will this one suffice? Also, I propose Thunder will always act on your initiative, to slightly speed up combat for the PbP multi-table format.

I have placed my tokens (Yarricki, Thunder and Yarricki riding Thunder) on the map.

I agree that Thunder should act on my initiative. As he is primarily used as a mount that is actually RAW.

Kitt and Terra have the same initiative modifiers, so I'm also fine with them acting on the same initiative. That's how I've been handling them in pbp.

^ Yarricki, this is a great idea.

Even better though is to create a "Bot me!" Spoiler with these rolls pre-formatted, closing brackets and all on your profile character sheet. Dice expressions can be included in all their formatting glory on character profiles.

Because of the site issues, I'm going to give Dovian and Yanda some more time to post.

For everyone, you could really help me by putting some botting instructions in your profile. If you have trouble accessing the site, I can still do your combat action as your like to have done it, generally. That saves me some hard choices, in either putting you on delay of figuring out what you would have done.

Of course I'm hoping fervently that the site issues will be dealt with shortly. I've checked into moving to Myth Weavers or RPG Geek, but either seem daunting to learn halfway through a scenario like this. For now, I think that cure might be worse that the disease...
