PbP Gameday VI; Starfinder 1-01: The Commencement [lvl 1-2] (Inactive)

This is part of The play by post Gameday VI

A Starfinder Society Scenario designed for levels 1-2.

All Starfinders complete their training by conferring with Guidance—a network of uploaded personalities embodying paragons from the Starfinder Society's history. Before receiving the blessing of Guidance, the PCs must meet with and assist critical missions on behalf of key leaders of the Society's leading factions. With the events of the Scoured Stars Incident still fresh in everyone's memory, there's plenty that needs doing to set the Society back on track.

The Commencement is a replayable scenario designed to help introduce players to the factions of the Starfinder Society and areas of importance on Absalom Station.

I'm starting this a bit later then the start of the Gameday to get the initial rush out of the way and because I have very little knowledge about Starfinder in general at this time and might need a bit of extra time to read up on things.

Expected posting rate will be roughly once a day with me reserving the right to NPC your character in if you haven't posted in 24 hours since the last post made to keep the flow going and the game moving forward.

I'm interested in this game! Been waiting for the Starfinder rules to be out. Tough to tell you what my character concept is since I don't know what the races, classes, etc. will be =)

But I'm a long-time role-player and been PbPing for a while now!

I'm definitely keen for a game of Starfinder too. Sounds like it will be great.

I am very excited to play Starfinder. It sounds fantastic! Fair warning, though: I am new to PbP.

@ajbanal; Being new to pbp shouldn't be a problem, as long as you are willing to learn. And I've found it's generally pretty easy to pick it up by just starting and playing in a pbp game.

I've played some PbP but not a ton. I have some SFS concepts in mind but happy to work with the party to bring in something to help with party balance if needed.

I found some Class previews in the Starfinder blogs; envoy, mechanic, mystic, operative, and soldier so far, with solarian and technomancer to go.

I can easily play an operative, soldier, or mystic. The envoy is not really my style. I could probably play a technomancer, too, based on the little I've read so far.

Anyways...looking forward to playing in this new time/space continuum!

I would be interested as well :). Fair warning: I am new to PbP and Organized Play. Since I have not read the rules yet, character creation is still up in the air, but I would be potentially interested in a Technomancer or Mechanic.

Yeah, that mechanic preview has a dwarf mechanic bouncing around in my head. :)

Well, I too would be interested in playing... but a bit late it seems. So, if any spots free up...

I will be running SFS in France, so I guess my only chance to play for a while is by post.

Assuming same table sizes as for PFS this means the first 6 listed are in for this game (if they still want to play).

I haven't seen the scenario yet and I know almost next to nothing about Starfinder in general at this point but going by my PFS experience I might run a second table of this - if I enjoy how the first one goes and I can re-use the preparation I had to put in - which will most likely start roughly 2-3 weeks later for the other 5 people if they want.

There's still a possible spot left for a maybe second table, but closing recruitment for now.

Looks like I'm a bit late for the party, but I will gladly take the last spot in the second table, if there is one. But until then I will try and read up on the rules and character creation so I can have someone ready for next time.

Please count me out of any second table since I got a spot at your table of 1-00, I don't want to commit to multiple tables of PBP.

Note we won't start at the start of the gameday tommorow, but a bit later. I expect at least a week later..I'm still getting used to Starfinder rules and I think the start of the gamesday games will bit a bit overwhelming the first few days.

Not right now. First I'll have to clear my current schedule a bit and also find out how much I like running Starfinder in general and this scenario in particular.
