Taklinn misses with his axe, but bashes the wolverine with his shield. The creature staggers back, but continues to froth at the mouth and lunges at Taklinn once more!

Correction: The Kellid lit out to the east, your trail travels northeast.

Searching the five "Shadow Lodge" corpses, the party finds about 100 gp in coins that the Kellids must have missed when scavenging the bodies.

After healing wounds, the party sets back out, following Skagni's map, traveling northeast. About an hour after setting out, you hear a deep booming horn far to the south. Moments later, you hear a horn answer from the northeast, the direction you are heading.

Continuing your journey toward the Tusk Mountains, around dusk, the gradual shift into rockier terrain is now more apparent than ever. Large, round stones evoke cobblestones as they form a layer of ground, although the hard-packed snow is still visible between. Ahead, an ancient ring of boulders juts from the ground to form a ring. The wind’s erratic path around the massive rocks has blown the snow into large, haphazard drifts.

Skagni's map denotes a small cave, just a little further, that will shelter you from the elements for the night. The route leads you through an area with several large snow drifts.

Based on the sun's height above the horizon, you estimate you have less than an hour's worth of light....

About to take advantage of flanks, Taklinn sees the barbarian fall and reverses his swing, chopping into the larger barbarian, then smashing him with his shield!

Garret trips the barbarian to the north, but the Kellid rolls away from his boot stomp. The halfling, then gives the southern, prone Kellid a backward kick, knocking the man unconscious!
