Round 5 (partial)
Jolyrin steps over the unconscious blue lizard and stabs it with her kukri. It shudders briefly and then goes still, its life blood leaking slowly onto the tiled floor.
322 takes a step back and goes full defensive.
The Orange lizard takes a chomp out of Jolyrin.

GM Lamplighter |
As you recover and examine the room, it is clear that it will take you some time to search the place for Aram Zey's notes.

322 taps herself with her wand before tapping Jolyrin. 2 charges left. she notes.

Seeing the few effect her potion had on her she turns to 322.
322, could you heal me ? I'm still quite hurt by that lizard bite
Once healed, she searchs the room for the documents they are looking for.

Exp. 322 |
This one can heal you Shohiraj but the power of her wand wanes. Pray to the void that it will be enough.
Cure Mod: 2d8 + 3 ⇒ (4, 1) + 3 = 8
One charge left, I think. I'll go check its usage in a moment. Gonna save it for in-combat healing since it does not provoke. Anyone else with healing ability or items?
GM Lamplighter |
Was waiting for the healing to get taken care of per your instructions; not that anything might happen... ;)
Shohiraj: the bookcases are filled to the brim with notes, books, objets d'arts, and other material... searching for a specific set of notes will take several minutes at least. You fine with that?
Exp. 322 |
As everyone searches the library 322 spends some time examining the groups wounds. While her wand is mostly consumed she does have a few healing spell she can use and heals The Professional.
[Cure Light The Professional: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11
If your hit point total in your stats bar is not accurate then I do not know to heal you. I show everyone at full except Jolyrin who is down 2.
GM Lamplighter |
After about 5 minutes of searching, you come across a new-looking journal without a title page. Leafing through it, you realize that it is a set of notes on the Hao Jin Tapestry, presumably the one written by Aram Zey that you were told of. It contains information on a ritual which can tear a permanent rift in the Tapestry, allowing free and two-way travel between the demiplane and the location of the Tapestry when the ritual is invoked. Zey's notes strongly advise against doing this, though, due to potential side effects and the fact that there are still many creatures in the demiplane who are hostile to the Pathfinder Society.
This gives you the information you need to complete the first of your objectives: tearing open the Hao Jin tapestry.
The Professionnal |
@322 my HP are right. I'm down by 5. Your cure heal me to full
Perfect ! says Shohiraj when they discovered the journal and Rataji confirms that it was the right book.
Companion, this time, we must be less careless than the last time. We need to focus on being stealthy. Please, follow me.
Our next stop, the Hao Jin Tapestry.
GM Lamplighter |
Actually, you're still down 2hp, Shohiraj... you must have missed one of the attacks earlier.
You start heading to the Tapestry Chamber.

Although not all of your party members are terribly stealthy, you seem to be doing better than your first foray... no patrols intercept you as you move higher into the tower of Skyreach. You head up five flights of stairs and around numerous zig-zag hallways to finally reach you destination: a set of iron-shod double doors. A sign beside the door reads, "Tapestry Chamber - No Admittance!"

The Professionnal |

Shohiraj whispered to her comrades. We could tries to uses the same ruse as last time. But only those able to bluff will be visible and talkative. Use me as an aspis agent you find wandering in the tower.
I have a potion of invisibility on me that I could lend for this fight.
Exp. 322 |
322 offers Rataji a scroll of invisibility as she activates her flight ability. This one would prefer to start this encounter unseen. she explains, asking him to use the scroll on her before the door is opened.

Everyone else is up! Rataji, if you wish to read the scroll, it will happen this round on your turn.

Is there a new map? I'd like to make sure I am not right in the doorway. :)

Round 1 (continued)
Hearing the sound of people coming Shohiraj tries something. "Help! A cleric of Nethys is becoming crazy ! He casts spells on people !?"
Marnarius follows up on the bluff, grabbing The Professioanl as if holding them as a prisoner. "Help! I find an Aspis agent! Help"
Rataji reads the scroll of invisibilty, and 322 disappears from sight.

A woman's voice is heard through the door: "Report it to the guards, then - this area must remain secure!"
Joliryn casts shield on herself and uses a point from her eldritch pool to make her kukri keen and shocking.
Zurnzal delays.
End of Round 1 - declare your actions for the next round, and we'll pause and get new actions if anything significantly changes (like, if the door opens).
The Ambitious PJP |
"I don't think this is working..."
Zurzal draws his sword and potion of invisibility, and hides behind the door, though, just in case it does.

There is some murmuring behind the door, and after another 2 rounds the door suddenly opens quickly, revealing a long room with a massive table in the center. Lying flat upon the table, surrounded by notes and small wooden icons, is the fabled Hao Jin Tapestry.
At the far end of the table, a half-orc woman stands, glaring at you. To the left, a tall man regards you down the length of the large musket he has trained on the door. You get the sense that there is another person behind the door, although they are not visible.
322, Professional, Marnarius, Rataji are up!

"Who is the Aspis agent?" shouts the half-orc woman. "If this is a trick, I'll burn you, pink-skin!"
Marnarius, Rataji are up.
