The ship (at least as much as you can see) radiates a faint Abjurative aura. Hun, setting to work, finds no traps. He does, however, hear a rhythmic grunt...or a grind...or a scrap? Hard to tell.

Her greatsword stands ready in her hands.

"There is something very strange about this ship." she says, taking her time to bring a magical shield up around her.

The smell of death and rot fills this lower deck, even with the cold. It is darker down here without the sunlight filtering through the ice, and no braziers burn. Shadowy movements are visible in the darkness, accompanied by an eerie creaking noise as though someone were still working the oars. A figure moves toward you along the aisle between the rowing benches. It appears to be a withered human wearing an Ulfen burial mask. Despite your best efforts, he can easily see you...

It's 10' down from the upper deck. It's also currently shadowy on this entire deck, so until someone brings light, include a 20% miss chance (unless you have low-light or darkvision. Lastly I need to confirm Auri's ASF.

Hun has an awesome shot, but work usually prevents him from posting during the day. Not only because he did win initiative, but because what he does will affect the party, I recommend botting him. I don't think he'll mind at all. He's good like that :-)

They're only flat-footed if they try to make their Acrobatics check to move on the grease. If they don't try to move while on the grease (and the lead undead hasn't tried to move since the grease appeared), then they aren't flat-footed.

Got it, thanks! In that case, Hun and I do not get sneak attacks and can't really flank without risking the grease. If I am wrong, please point it out :)

Did you mean for one of us to bot Hun? If so...:

Auri has an attack ready at the top of the trap door for the first apparent undead to come through it. She suggested the group retreat to the top of the trap door where we can use numbers against the slower undead and kill them off without too much risk.

If her turn comes up next round with a battle happening below, she'll join the battle below, but for the meantime she is hoping to imbue some tactical sense into the group!
