I hope everyone's okay with Terrill standing in the doorway while we fight Nicasor, at least for now, since he can do the most damage. If Nicasor's vision comes back, I can 5-foot step away so he might come into the room to fight. It would be great if one of our more nimble types (paging Wilhelm...) could tumble past him while he's blinded, so we can have him flanked. I don't think I'd make the Acrobatics check, or I'd do it.

EF - would I need an Acro check to get past him? He wouldn't get an AoO either way (whether I made the roll or not), but I might just fail to slip past him in the narrow space. The rules seem a bit vague on this matter.

The Flaxseed Pathfinder Lodge

Yeah, I think you need the Acrobatics regardless to get past someone since he's standing in the way, even if he is blinded for the moment.

The Flaxseed Pathfinder Lodge

Hey guys! We are in the final combat and clearly near the end, which means we should finish on time with no problem!

A few things I need from you:

  • Your PFS number
  • Day Job roll (if you have a Day Job)
  • Roll 1d20 for a chance to win a boon!

On a nat 1 you get a random boon and on a nat 20 you get to choose. Here are the boons being offered:

    Boon 1:
Lingering Resonance: A recent encounter with an enemy spellcaster left your body strangely receptive to spell effects. At the beginning of a scenario, you may announce that you are using this boon. The next time that you fail a saving throw against any spell or spell-like ability from an enemy spellcaster, have your GM write the name of the spell below. Choose one of the following benefits, and cross the other off your Chronicle sheet.
    • When you cast the listed spell, you may increase the DC of the saving throw by 2.
    • When you roll a saving throw against the listed spell, you gain a +4 bonus on the save.
You may use this bonus once for free, after which you should check the box below; each additional use of the selected benefit costs 1 Prestige Point.

    Boon 2:
Long Distance Support: You heard the Decemvirate’s call to arms as the Fifth Crusade began, but for whatever reason the society did not send you to the front lines immediately. You may nonetheless send extra supplies to aid your fellow Pathfinders. At the end of any scenario that does not take place in Mendev or the Worldwound, you may choose to spend 1 Prestige Point to send a cache of necessary supplies north to aid the war effort. On a line below, have your GM record where the scenario took place and initial the entry. Upon filling all five lines, you gain two benefits.
First, you gain a Mendevian Commendation for your tireless efforts to supply the crusade. A Mendevian Commendation grants you a cumulative +1 bonus on Charisma-based skill checks to influence Mendevian Crusaders (maximum +3).
Second, as a swift action while fighting a creature with the demon subtype or bearing an unholy symbol of a demon lord, you may grant all allies that you can see within 60 feet a +2 circumstance bonus on attack rolls, damage rolls, and saving throws against those creatures for one minute. When you use this second ability, cross it off your Chronicle sheet.

    Boon 3:
Mendevian Weapon Training: Queen Galfrey of Mendev understands both that poorly equipped crusaders are of little use to the ongoing war against demonkind and that an inadequately trained crusader cannot make effective use of good equipment. As a result, those who dedicate themselves to the Fifth Crusade have access to training and equipment that might not otherwise be available. When you would be permitted a Day Job check, you may instead spend 4 Prestige Points to receive intensive training with a specific weapon or suit of armor. You receive a masterwork version of the weapon or armor, and you gain proficiency in that specific weapon or armor (but not others of its type). If you are already proficient with the selected armor or weapon, you instead gain a +2 bonus to CMD against disarm and sunder combat maneuvers targeting the chosen item.
Choose the weapon or armor from the following list: breastplate, glaive, heavy shield, or longsword.

    Boon 4:
Moment of Glory: Whether it is by fate, fortune, or circumstance, you are able to tap into a hidden reserve of power at just the right moment to perform a truly extraordinary feat. By activating this boon as a free action, you become a mythic character (1st mythic tier) for 3 rounds. If you fall unconscious due to hit point loss during this time, you automatically stabilize without needing to attempt a Constitution check. In addition, once before this effect ends, you may use the surge mythic ability to increase any d20 roll you just made by rolling 1d6 and adding it to the result. Using the surge is an immediate action taken after the result of the original roll is revealed. This can change the outcome of the roll.
When you use this boon, cross it off your Chronicle sheet; however, anytime you successfully complete (earning the maximum possible number of Prestige Points) a scenario that using the “hard mode” option, you may have the GM sign this boon. You may use this boon one additional time for each such signature you receive.

    The Flaxseed Pathfinder Lodge

Chronicles have been sent! I'll leave the campaign active for a while in case anyone wants to contribute in the Gameplay thread for a while longer but once activity ceases I'll set it to inactive.

Thanks for playing everyone! Hope you all had a good time; this is certainly one of my favorite modules!

    Liberty's Edge

    Male Gnome Sorcerer [10] : HP 62/62 | AC16 [20], 18[22] vs evil | T15 (17) | FF14 (16) | Fort+9 (+10 vs evil) | Ref+11 (+12 vs evil) | Will+13 (+14 vs evil) | CMB +1 CMD 15 | Init+6 | Perc+16 | SM+9 | Spellcraft +17

With this chronicle and a Port Godless one that I had saved for Bizzle he is now 6th level. Yay! All I need now is another 6th level module to run through and I can use the three 7th level chronicles I have and then Bizzle would be 8th. Excellent!

    Liberty's Edge

    M Half-Elf Inquisitor of Desna 10 | HP 77/77 | AC 34 (37 vs crits) | T 22 | FF 31] | AC 28 | T 16 | FF 25 | CMD 29 | Fort +11 | Ref +7 | Will +12 | Init +7 | Perc +18

That's exactly where I'm at, Bizzle! Though I'll pick up some XP for Terrill at PaizoCon and then have to find some higher level scenarios to play.

Thanks for running this, EF. A pleasure playing with you all, and sorry to hog the doorway at the end, it just seemed the most effective way to take out Nicasor.

    Liberty's Edge

    Male Gnome Sorcerer [10] : HP 62/62 | AC16 [20], 18[22] vs evil | T15 (17) | FF14 (16) | Fort+9 (+10 vs evil) | Ref+11 (+12 vs evil) | Will+13 (+14 vs evil) | CMB +1 CMD 15 | Init+6 | Perc+16 | SM+9 | Spellcraft +17

I doubt Bizzle would be blocking doorways so having you do it was perfectly fine with me! I may just have to start searching the forums here for a module or hope something else pops up. No rush though.

Yeah, the list of scenarios that EF can play is now very short, and he's been leading the charge here on the boards for mid-level stuff.

    Liberty's Edge

    Male Gnome Sorcerer [10] : HP 62/62 | AC16 [20], 18[22] vs evil | T15 (17) | FF14 (16) | Fort+9 (+10 vs evil) | Ref+11 (+12 vs evil) | Will+13 (+14 vs evil) | CMB +1 CMD 15 | Init+6 | Perc+16 | SM+9 | Spellcraft +17

My list for what I can play at 1-5 is also now very short, same for 3-7. That's what happens when you end up rolling 20 PCs though. Silly me.

    Sovereign Court

    HP 73/73; Init +6, Perc +11; AC 30, T 18, FF 22, CMD 23; F+6, R+15, W+8,

I'm in the same boat. Hiram just went up two levels to 6th level, and is now Baron Hiram, thanks to the Noble Title Taldor prestige buy. But when I get to 7 I can enchant my sword with Agile, making him a lot nastier fighter!

    Liberty's Edge

    Male Gnome Sorcerer [10] : HP 62/62 | AC16 [20], 18[22] vs evil | T15 (17) | FF14 (16) | Fort+9 (+10 vs evil) | Ref+11 (+12 vs evil) | Will+13 (+14 vs evil) | CMB +1 CMD 15 | Init+6 | Perc+16 | SM+9 | Spellcraft +17

    Very nice, "Baron"!

    Liberty's Edge

BTW, any suggestions for good magic gear for a 6th level gnome sorcerer that find himself flush with cash?

    The Flaxseed Pathfinder Lodge

@Bizzle: metamagic rods are nice, although as a sorcerer they increase your casting time from standard action to full-round action, which means you can't pull them out and then use them. Most GMs will let you start with one in hand but you can always pull it on the first round as a move action (and still do something else) and then start using it after that. I'd recommend ectoplasmic as a backup, maybe an elemental rod if you have blasting spells. Dazing is overly powerful; empowered and maximize are nice if you can afford them.

    ---

Yeah, too often GMs only offer low-tier stuff because they assume players either 1)don't have high level characters available or 2)if they have a high level character, they don't want it tied up online for a month or two. When I started playing on here over a year ago I couldn't find anything but 1-5 scenarios so I took the charge on offering higher-tier stuff. It was hard to find players at first but lately I've been running more high tier games than low tier (partly because besides new ones coming out I'm out of low tier games now). Unfortunately I'm about to catch up with the backlog and will only be able to offer new scenarios in the future. But keep a watch out for those! And there are plenty of GMs out there willing to GM high-tier stuff, you just have to look for them.

    Liberty's Edge

    Male Gnome Sorcerer [10] : HP 62/62 | AC16 [20], 18[22] vs evil | T15 (17) | FF14 (16) | Fort+9 (+10 vs evil) | Ref+11 (+12 vs evil) | Will+13 (+14 vs evil) | CMB +1 CMD 15 | Init+6 | Perc+16 | SM+9 | Spellcraft +17

I've look at those but they are quite expensive. I could do 3K for the ectoplasmic one but I don't see doing that now. Bizzle does more of the complusive spells than anything, which is why he seemed a bit out of place in this adventure.

I'm looking at Boots of the Cat (since I almost fell to my death before) and an Amulet of Natural Armor so far. I still have about 4800gp left. I'm trying to think of a couple of good wands to perhaps lug around for certain moments of need. I have mage armor and magic missile of course. Was thinking of stuff like comprehend languages, endure elements, but I don't know if trying up 750gp for those is a good idea.

    Liberty's Edge

    Male Gnome Sorcerer [10] : HP 62/62 | AC16 [20], 18[22] vs evil | T15 (17) | FF14 (16) | Fort+9 (+10 vs evil) | Ref+11 (+12 vs evil) | Will+13 (+14 vs evil) | CMB +1 CMD 15 | Init+6 | Perc+16 | SM+9 | Spellcraft +17

Oof, I just noticed poor Bizzle here has yet to get some of the "standard" stuff like cloak of resistance and ring of protection. Think I'll go about that and maybe just save the rest for the next time. I think I can still get those boots though.
