Okay, all - due to me forgetting I'd submitted Boram for a different gameday mission, I'm now trying to decide between two other characters, also second level.
Kaddok is a human Shoanti fighter (viking) that uses the Thunder and Fang fighting style, using an earthbreaker in one hand and a klar in the other. He's got the ability to do a move-action (and, later, swift-action) intimidate (at +6) to demoralize, and he will eventually be getting the ability to rage and use rage powers, as well as lots of ways to intimidate foes, pretty much making him a combat monster. Not a lot of out-of-combat utility, though, and dumb as a rock.
Garret is a halfling bard (dawnflower dervish) that uses Dervish Dance and his battle dance in combat to give him a pretty good damage output (1d4+6, not bad for a halfling). At level 3, he'll be multi-classing with Unarmed Fighter to give him crane style/crane wing, which will increase his defensive capabilities significantly. He's not the power house that Kaddok is, but he's going to focus a lot on helpful spells and buffs (though his archetype doesn't give him the ability to inspire courage in others).
I like the flavor of both characters, but I'm not sure which one will serve me best in the long run. I have another bard, but with a very different flavor, so while some of the functionality is the same, the play style will likely be very different. Any opinions?

Those all sound pretty amazing. I don't really know how to make characters...
... and I don't really know much about group design or balance. :-P
I wonder how we are doing, overall, on skills? I have a good diplomacy, a fair heal and sense motive, but (lousy 2-point clerics!) I don't even have Spellcraft yet for identifying things. At second level, I'll add that and Knowledge Planes and Religion.

Kellean: Most of my characters are patterned after, or exact replicas of, ideas I've found online. I put my own touches on them, sure, but that's about it.
That said, let's look at what we've got for sure.
- Banon, a ranged ranger (w/Fion), assuming he's joining us
- Fenchil, a finesse/TWF ranger
- Kellean, our resident healer
So, then...we could really use either of each of our characters, Culsar, though for balance purposes, one of us should take a caster and the other a masher (e.g., Barbarian and bard, or witch and fighter). I don't have a particular preference one way or the other, as I've said. Do you?
