Bringing my tier 1-2 table through encounter G, and am realising what a slog it is going to be. Who would plan a naturally invisible and incorporeal creature against a party of level 1 and 2s? Sigh... It is doable especially if they think about their tactics (beyond just the usual hacking and slashing), and work together, but it is definitely a challenge.

Anyone able to cast glitter dust by chance?

Glitterdust is unfortunately a L2 spell. The party is only level 1 & 2.

Hmm, would that work against an incorporeal creature? I would imagine the powder just flying through. :)

Nope no Druid. Only option is detect magic or detect evil but that takes 3 rounds.

I'm going to be away for a couple of days. Impromptu camping trip organised by the family.

Could a backup GM grab my Core 5-6 table? They are just having a happy fight with the hydra at the moment.

Sorry need some more advice. For encounter G, my party have found the coffers. However, none of them have disable device and hence unable to pick the lock. They have also found that one is trapped. One of the characters have suggested bringing it to town and get a locksmith to unlock. How much would it reasonably cost to charge them? Or should I just charge them the cost of getting knock cast twice?

I think it's reasonable to pay a locksmith to open the untrapped one. Not sure about the trapped chest, though.

They could ask the locksmith if he'd handle a trapped one, and I'd say double the cost for the need of a second disable. There are undoubtedly some more questionably employed locksmiths in town.

If they don't tell him it's trapped I'd consider that an evil act.

G. My table must have hated the Allip.
Seems like the Allip's ability to approach and not break Fascinate condition wasn't accepted.

Just ranting abit. Finished helping to run a mini con and I'm kinda brain dead.

My table just knocked the hydra unconscious in one round, thanks to an ill-timed crit from the fighter. It's not dead yet, though, and has enough fast healing to bring it back up after one round, so I'm not going to call it yet.

Seems like a good opportunity for the PCs to amp up the crowd and gloat about how awesome they are, before the hydra rises and attacks them from behind. Feels very WWE.

If we were supposed to be set up as reporters, I was not.

I was going to work on my chronicles today (get 'em done ahead of time, at least what I could get done) and was looking for the event number, but didn't see the event.

That's an evil trap.

I have players asking if there is some kind of check to recognize the symbol on handout 2. I would think a kn: history or kn: religion check might turn up something. Any thoughts?

That sounds right.

DC 20 religion lets you "Recognize an obscure deity’s symbol or clergy"

I'm assuming Lissala is obscure in this day and age.

They will get out of tier rewards.

I thought you were only supposed to go out of tier in one direction at any given table in a special.
