Jirani Shores |
Jirani frowns slightly, Venator perhaps it is best you look after Lia. At least one of us should go and see what is happening to elicit such excitement, I will go...
Jirani stands to follow the crowd unless anyone moves to stop him.
Aerodus Lurconarr Charthagnion |
Aerodus opts to stay behind and help Venator with helping Lia, pulling out the book on diseases for any useful information.
Heal: 1d20 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 + 2 = 20
Aerodus Lurconarr Charthagnion |
Aerodus frowns. He then helps loosen the bandages on Lia's legs, a faint blush hitting his face. Turning to Venator, he says, "You tied them too tight."
Venator Legatti |
He smiles embarrassed. "Oh did I? Yeah, I might indeed have done it. We were in a hurry and without a proper place to do it, remember?" He also checks it, just to be sure.
Taking 20 for 28 on Heal, and then ready to move on.
Jirani Shores |
Jirani does his best to shuffle through the crowd to see who is proposing the task and to glean whatever details he can.
ulgulanoth |
Jirani
Andando
Jirani Shores |
Jostled about and clearly unable to hear, Jirani looks for his rogue companion to see if Andando is seeing or hearing anything better than he is.
Andando Morte |
Walking back to the group. "Seems like they want hit a Hellknight caravan and rescue some of their members. Also talk of a kidnapping to replace the queens painter with an assassin." Andando says nonchalantly to his team.
Aerodus Lurconarr Charthagnion |
Aerodus finishes loosening the bandages and stands, not looking at Lia. Hearing Andando, Aerodus wheels around to the rogue, an annoyed frown on his face. "Are they insane?! Attacking a Hellknight caravan and assassinating the Queen?! What dangerous game have we gotten ourselves into?!"
Andando Morte |
"Well the caravan is going to Cheliax to some Hellknight dungeon, one of the order's keeps I would guess, the resistance is going to hit it right as it leaves the city hoping to gain a numbers and terrain advantage."
Aerodus Lurconarr Charthagnion |
Aerodus looks to Lia, frown on his face and brow raised. "You're not seriously thinking about going through with this, are you?" He then lowers his voice. "In case you have forgotten, I'm wanted by the Hellknights. So, that may be a problem."
Aerodus Lurconarr Charthagnion |
Aerodus frowns before muttering, "This is just ridiculous."
Venator Legatti |
Venator lowers his voice, checking if there is no "real" resistance member nearby before speaking. "Calm down you guys. No one invited us, but if we're decided to carry on with our mission, it starts here. I personally see no problem in attacking the Hellknights. We know they are responsible for a good part of the city's current state, and their methods are disgusting, so yeah, it could work. I say let's go already!"
Jirani Shores |
I don't imagine that Aerdous can become any MORE wanted, I get the impression when they want you, its to the extreme of their narrow emotional range. We may just have the opportunity to join him on that list as it were. Jirani offers a smile and a shrug I agree, we are embroiled already, we might as well help as best we can.
Aerodus Lurconarr Charthagnion |
Aerodus keeps his frown. He sighs and says, "Do you think we could get something that better hides my identity?"
Aerodus Lurconarr Charthagnion |
Aerodus looks at Venator, deadpanned. "Already did. Dyed my hair red and chopped it short."
Aerodus Lurconarr Charthagnion |
Aerodus looks at Venator with a shocked look on his face. Before that look twists into a visage of rage. He stands up and steps closer to Venator, grasping his collar with both of his hands. He growls, "You got something to say, funny man? Go on! I dare you."
Intimidate: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21
Lia Vantas |
Lia sighs and stands up. "Both of you, please, that's enough." She rests her hands on her hips.
"Venator, that was uncalled for. Although I'm sure you meant nothing by it, this isn't exactly a joking matter for him. Aerodus, he didn't mean anything by it--and frankly, there's no need for you to yank him up by his collar." Her voice is calm, but edged with irritation. "Bickering like this will get us nowhere, and Janiven is getting further away from us the longer we spend arguing."
"Now, on the matter of disguising yourself, I know of a couple of ways to do so--we can see if we can get our hands on a disguise kit and work out something, or we can see if we can find someone who sells potions that do the same thing." Lia gently takes Aerodus' arm.
Venator Legatti |
Venator raises his hands, putting them open between him and the barbarian. "Yo Yo, I was joking man, take it easy. Hey, friend, remember?! Holy Desna, you should really do some anger management treatment dude..."
Aerodus Lurconarr Charthagnion |
Aerodus's gaze turns to Lia. His gaze bores into her. His grip on Venator tightens before he lets go. He simply mutters, "Fine."
At her ideas to hide the ranger's identity, Aerodus lightly blushes at her holding his arm and says, "Fine. Might be difficult because I'm not a master of disguise like our friend, "Octavian". But, I'll put my trust in you. Don't let me down. I was originally thinking of just a mask. But if you think these would work better."
Turning to Venator, he says, "Well, since your my friend and ally, I'm... sorry. Gods, it's difficult for me to say... I'm sure you might take offense if I insulted you or your god. But truly, I'm sorry. I guess, I'm just a person who's very easy to anger or irritate."
Lia Vantas |
Lia breathes a sigh of relief once things between Aerodus and Venator have calmed down. "I'm hoping they'll work better--I'm not really familiar with disguises. I occasionally had to help the Reistar twins with their stage costumes, but that's the extent of my knowledge."
She looks over at the gathered resistance members. "Maybe one of them will know where I can find a potion of disguise self..."
Venator Legatti |
Venator has no hurt feelings with your burst of anger, it seems. "Just take it easy man, I was just joking," - he looks up for a bit - "although they say that in every joke there's a grain of truth, but don't worry too much about it, man."
Aerodus Lurconarr Charthagnion |
Aerodus nods at Venator and just listens to the discussion.
Lia Vantas |
Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
Lia doesn't notice anyone sneaking up to her, but the feeling of the note pressing into her hand makes her look down.
Castle's shadow at 3... man without a hand?
The note gives her a little shiver of discomfort as she walks back to rejoin the rest of the party.
Aerodus Lurconarr Charthagnion |
Seeing Lia returning, Aerodus says, "So, find anything?"
Aerodus Lurconarr Charthagnion |
Aerodus takes the slip of paper and looks it over. He grumbles, "Don't like the sound of it. But it's something."
Jirani Shores |
Well then is that the play we think? Use these potions and then attempt a raid on the caravan with these fine folks?
Aerodus Lurconarr Charthagnion |
Aerodus doesn't look up from the note as he says, "Potion first. Then caravan. It won't bode well if we attack a caravan and then the whole city is on a manhunt for us. With me being easily identifiable."
Jirani Shores |
Jirani offers a smirk at the oft grumpy ranger, I said potions first. He offers a warm smile as his response if Aerodus seems irritated. Playful but warm and friendy, that is what I shooting for here :p
Aerodus Lurconarr Charthagnion |
Aerodus looks up at Jirani. He frowns in irritation. He then understands the playful smile the inquisitor is giving him. The ranger then sighs and closes his eyes. "Right. Sorry about that. Must be tired from all of this running around and what-not. Really gets on my nerves sometimes. Plus, I was looking at this note. Very intently, it seems."
Sorry about that. My bad. I didn't read the entire post and just assumed that Jirani was suggesting the caravan first. Kind of funny when I think about it. :) Don't worry. After the last outburst, Aerodus won't be antagonistic to the party.
Venator Legatti |
Venator, wise and clever, thinks a bit about that and wants a second opinion from the group. "Why oh why would someone hide that they are selling disguise potions?" It's a rhetorical question, it seems, but he does not answer it immediately.
Lia Vantas |
"Presumably because they're illegal? Or at least risking crossing the Hellknights and the Queen to get these into our hands?" Evidently, Lia's fond of answering rhetorical questions.
"Either way, we need those potions. I'm heading out to get them." Lia rests a hand on the hilt of her sword and begins heading out.
Anyone know if Andando's still around?
Venator Legatti |
Venator tries to hold the female with words. "Isn't making part of a revolutionary group also a crime, and punished with death? Why would someone here worry about making transactions in the shadows? I see only two answers: First, they are spies, and want to guide just a few of outside to capture us, and second, these potions he is selling are stolen from the resistance members. Either of which I consider unworthy of the risk."
