You start your performance and while the part of Sarenrae is a bit wobbly - Felix deep bariton voice doesn´t translate too well to that of a godess of the sun along with Sinsets antiques - Rovagug is really impressive and monstrous. You manage to capture the audience.

I felt like I was really there! Surely the Goddess herself is among us! cries out one member of the crowd, and the high priestess herself parts the growing throng of fans like so much water. She motions you away from the crowd, the carefully composed high cleric begins gushing about how moved she was.
If clergy were meant to be the embodiment of their deity, then this woman is a living effigy of Sarenrae, her gold and white vestments aflame with vitality that seems to radiate from her dark, elegantly coiffured hair via the golden pins and combs that hold it all in place.
Her deep bronze features are elegantly made up, kohl framing an already relentless brown-eyed stare over high cheekbones; her voice is a tightly controlled flame of passion. So, you’re the outsiders who got into the Contraption, hmm? I admit, it’s not often our foreign guests are quite so bold. Or silly. But boldness and just a little silliness in the name of the Dawnflower go a long way, I find. I trust, however, this wasn’t done entirely because of your undying love for her. So, speak.

Remember your letter of introduction.

Sinset bows deeply and sincerely before the high priestess. High Priestess Amal al-Sahba! What a pleasant surprise! While it is true that we are not adherents to your faith, your cleric was in a pinch, and we thought our knowledge of the fine arts would do honor to you and your fair city.

It is deeply fortuitous that we've encountered you here! We were, in fact, hoping for an audience with you. We have a letter of introduction from the venture-captain in Oppara with which to share. But perhaps we can have a moment with you in private? It is a bit of a delicate matter I'm afraid.

Cole raises his hand weakly in a wave to her.

"G'mornin your holiness."

He then rolls over and with a groan picks himself up and dusts himself off and looks at everyone with a weak smile and shrugs.

Juno climbs out of the Rovagug contraption, tripping over the prone Cole who's gotten all tangled up in her feet.

"Blast it, you fool!" she exclaims loudly, glaring daggers at him. Quickly--for a dwarf--she finds her footing and stands up, ignoring the priestess and waving at the adoring crowd. She bows and waves, smiling proudly and looking very self-satisfied.

Eventually she notices the Priestess after her companions have greeted her. She raises an eyebrow at her, clearly unimpressed. "I thought she'd be bigger," she remarks before remembering her manners.

"I am Juno Berik of the Berik Clan," she clearly thinks this should be impressive. "Nice to meet you. We need to talk."

You spend the time untill evening on the festival enjoying yourself with some drinks, but not too many, after all you have some appointments.
Towards evening you visit the temple:

High Priestess al-Sahba makes her home in the city’s imposing temple, whose vast, gilded dome and soaring minarets are visible for miles around. Each is capped with a stylized holy symbol of Sarenrae, holding aloft a brass and turquoise sunburst. The communal dining quarters are more modest. The great extravagance of the room is found in its stained-glass windows, whose arches depict the triumphs and trials of Sarenrae. Dinner with the High Priestess takes place beneath a vast window depicting Sarenrae’s flaming sword piercing the heart of Rovagug himself. Al-Sahba holds the letter of introduction from Venture-Captain Esmayl ibn Qaradi in front of her, and speaks, It seems our interests are aligned. Tell me: what do you really know of the Roidirans?

Juno eyes the shining fancy temple with greed, wishing she lived in a temple so fine. Well, not a temple, but a house. Or perhaps that she was worshipped in such a fine temple. Yes, that's better! She deserves it, after all...

As she finds the room they are to have dinner is in much simpler than the rest of the temple, she scoffs.

Can't trust guests with the finery, hey? What a welcoming hostess.

She eyes the fine stained glass with little interest.

"Greetings, High Priestess," she remarks with a smile. "The Berik Clan thanks you for granting us this audience." She pulls out a chair and sits down.

She looks for a servant and gestures for them to serve her, but if she sees none or they do not, begins to heap some of the food onto her plate and pour herself some drink without waiting for an invitation.

In response to her question, Juno replies, "Only what we were told. These Roidiran fools follow their goddess Roidira, the Dark Sister of Knowledge. They toss common sense out the window and try to find universal truth or some such nonsense." She takes a bite of whatever they're serving for dinner and chews. "They've been coming back into town in tears and causing scenes. It's an embarrassment, yada, yada, yada."

Juno takes a deep gulp of wine an continues. "We're here to find out what they've been doing on those pilgrimages, and what they've uncovered to cause the grief. Apparently, that might ruffle some feathers, so we're here to see you. Weird, new cults are a thorn in your side and that of your church, right? Will you offer us political protection during our investigation, or not?"

Moria can't help but stare at all of the fineries of the temple, particularly the windows. She had seen some things like it in Absolam, but it still blew her mind that such marvelous structures existed.

I see your Venture Captain provided you with some of the most important information. What can I say about those who believe in nothing? she says with sternness. A void is not silent; it screams with its utter pointlessness until it is the only sound your very soul can hear. To listen to these Roidirans talk, that is what they seek. They begin every incantation, every prayer, with the mantra ‘There is no presence; there is absence. There is no meaning; only knowledge.’ To reach this terrible state of grace, they abjure everything we’ve ever known. They reject the knowledge of our libraries and universities, the collected wisdom of centuries of Sarenite faith, and the stacks of debate about our laws and politics. To them, these are the playthings of lesser minds, and only the secrets that Roidira keeps are true knowledge.

Do you have any opinions on this matter?

You can, at your discretion, debate al-Sahba on the matter. Perform (oratory) or Diplomacy check and present your opinion to impresses her. If you instead agree with al-Sahba and please make a Diplomacy check to convince her of your sincerity.

He does not want to insult the High Priestess by debating her, yet he does not think it is right to dismiss another's beliefs outright, and he says as much.

Visibly impressed, the high priestess takes your arguments into account.

Sarenrae is not an evangelist, and she condemns faith imposed by the sword. As in her heaven, so on Qadira’s earth. Our laws enforce religious pluralism, and this protects even Roidira’s devotees. But as of late, they have not returned the gesture of goodwill. You were fortunate to arrive on a day free of disruption from them.
Yesterday they flooded the Temple Square holding signs and haranguing festivalgoers, even children! Telling them that there is ‘only darkness’ and that ‘even breathing is pointless.’ This incensed citizens, some of whom started fights. I myself had to intervene in a scuffle — on my temple’s doorstep! It’s all gone too far.

Under such conditions i cannot leave the city, especially not at the apex of the Sunwrought Festival, which practically doubles the city’s population. Something has to be done though! She looks at you questioning.
But perhaps if you could go and act on my behalf... I even hesitate to send my own paladins into the wilderness with matters so tense in Qaharid.

Perhaps we can discuss this after the dinner?

At the conclusion of the meal, to formalize their patronage relationship, al-Sahba gives you each a brass ring emblazoned with her house’s device, which provides an ongoing +2 bonus on Diplomacy checks for the rest of the adventure. She suggests two places, each representing very different sectors of Qaharidi society, to investigate as a way to find more information about the Roidiran cult.
The first is a local tavern and gambling hall frequented by mine workers, and the second is an elite club for the city’s great and good. For the latter, she gives the name Vashti al-Amiyyah, a White Feather that she alluded to earlier, suspecting that Vashti’s tongue may be loosened by al-Sahba’s patronage of you.
She concludes their meeting with the following words.
There is another matter. As your venture-captain most certainly told you, I serve the satrap as one of his Peerless advisors. While I am not at liberty to discuss the satrap’s precise wishes, know that he has taken an interest in this matter as well. Powerful forces indeed are watching your moves from here on out. My shade to you tomorrow, Pathfinders. Go with Sarenrae.

Before sending you away to investigate the Roidiran cult, al-Sahba opens the heavy doors of the temple storeroom to you. This is also an ideal time for you to visit the shops before they close for the day, as al-Sahba’s patronage earns you preferential treatment and a 10% discount
on an item of their choice (this benefit appears on this adventure’s Chronicle sheet). This discount also applies to any purchases you wish to make that do not persist past the end of the adventure, such as the cost of an inn stay or refreshments. Should you wish to shoulder the expense, the city’s finest hotel, the Satrap’s Oasis, also opens its doors to them upon sight of the rings.

Amal al-Sahba provides two potions of endure elements and one potion of cure light wounds for each of you. You also managed to impress al-Sahba and she gives you a pyxes of redirected focus (Pathfinder RPG Ultimate Equipment 317).

Then catches the High Priestess looking at him and coyly goes quiet and blushes and softly says "Um... er... thank you for your hospitality your Holy One." and holds his tankard up before taking another swig.

Felix smiles and orders some honeycrusted muffins and some baconrolls to sate his appetity. He gladly accepts the potions and asks for a blessing.

Do we have time to do both tonight? I assumed we'd have time to do one tonight, and one tomorrow? People are not going to be at a miner's tavern in the morning. lol But if we had time to do both tonight, she's fine with doing the tavern last.

"I wasn't the one who started the insults, Cole. Best include us both in your scolding, or none at all."

Dusk is gracious in accepting the advice and gifts from the High Priestess. He tucks away the potions and again thanks the High Priestess, "Your generosity and patronage are greatly appreciated Your Eminence. We will start our investigations right away."

He frowns at the interplay between Sinset, Juno and Cole whispering under his breath, "Please fellow Pathfinders lets plan our next steps later and not take up more of the High Priestess' valuable time."

Let's do the White Feather conversation first

When Juno's finished her meal--and ONLY when she's finished--Juno wipes her hands on a cloth and takes a final swig of her drink.

"My thanks, and that of my Clan, for your hospitality, High Priestess. We will inform you of our success when it has been achieved. Thank you." she then stands and moves to leave without any further comment.

Luckily for you the high priestess doesn´t overhear your bickering.

You need to decide where you want to go first. One is a tavern, the other a high society club. Being early evening, it depends on what will happen wether you can visit both or only one.

PLease everyone remember your potions and stuff you got, note that down yourself. These are consumables which will not carry over to your next PFS adventure, so there´s no need or profit of saving them up.

Sinset i´ll not forget. Have to look that up extra myself though.

If it's early evening we can go to the social club first. The miner's should still be drinking late.

Felix ponders for a moment, then a second one."I will head to the club. Do not get me wrong, but I think they will enjoy some decent performances. But then one or two should go to the tavern. Each can be a font of gossip, and rarely do those two share the same!"

@Juno, I disagree. The miners would want to get an early start to get back to their jobs. Meanwhile, there's a festival, so the elite are deep in their cups.

Once out of earshot of the priestess, and no longer trying to impress her with cleverness, Sinset is more pragmatic. "If we can get the information we need from the tavern, then we can stay for a night at a simple establishment and be on our way in the morning. The club might be more tricky, not to mention expensive. Of course, we should probably leave the decision to Dusk, since he hasn't steered us wrong yet."

To Felix, Sinset says with a smile, "numon umono korum, noba sumo yuwoer."

Orcish:
"Number one rule: don't split the Pathfinders.

After the team is alone and able to plan Dusk listens to all the pros and cons described and hesitantly says, "I think we should try and investigate both the tavern and the social club tonight. I do not think it is a good idea to split up the team, so we need to decide which to go first. Miners will probably have an early start in the morning so may be best to head there first. If the social club afterwards is still open we can surely get in thanks to al-Sahba’s patronage. Any other opinions or thoughts?"

"We waste time with all this talk," Juno answers as she strides out of the temple. "To the bar."

Unfortunately, she doesn't actually know how to get to the bar, so at the first fork in the road she stops to wait for the others.

Cole nods at Dusk's logic then looks surprised as Juno up and leaves. Then drops his head in a big sigh.

"We should probably go after her. Right.... Right?" He says half jokingly before getting up and heading to the door. At the door he turns and asks "Anyone know where this place is? I wasn't paying attantion." He says a little embarrassed.

Dusk slaps his forehead realizing they did not ask the High Priestess for the exact locations of both tavern and social club. He tries to remember stories and local gossip he has heard about the Qaharidan nightlife.

If that is enough to point us in the right direction, we head for the tavern. If not will Gather Information using the patronage bonus:
Diplomacy, Gather Information + Patronage Bonus: 1d20 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 + 2 = 7
wow :-(

”Felix, maybe you have heard of the tavern?”

Felix remembers the lesson Sinset reminds him of from the Pathfinder Academy that in nearly all cases Pathfinders had the idea to split forces all of them died and many could not be returned. At least not in a way they would welcome, some might have been brought back by necromancers.

Juno storms ahead to the tavern and the rest follows. Dwarven instincts kick in and after some rounds in the city you stand in front of the Flaming Scimitar.

Two bouncers bar the way into the bar. They initially look skeptically at you, but they part like curtains once they catch sight of the signet rings.

The Flaming Scimitar thrives at this hour. The clatter of dice and gems on tables threatens to drown out the surging conversation and clinking steins around the bar. It’s a rough place, where the smoke clings to the ceiling as if in respect of the strength and grit thronging beneath it. The smell of tobacco and incense is thick enough in the air to drink. It seems every dockworker, sailor, miner, and farmer in Qaharid is here, the men and women whose labor moves the city.

Knowledge local or diplomacy gather information please.

If you can come up with a different way to obtain critical intelligence, feel free to substitute other skills or abilities as long as they fit the situation and don’t break the investigation.
