Nagbur Damnstink |
"You steal pigs for cart here, you mean?" Nagbur asks accusingly.

GM Dinuci |
The goblin cringes as Nagbur tells him off.
"We... yes steal pigs. We take for cart."
What will your next actions be?
Ama |
Ama walks up to the nearest pig and sits down beside it. "Do you know where the hammer's hilt is?"
Almalik Fezana |
Ignoring the pigs, Almalik quickly casts detect magic and begins scouring the area.
"I bet one of these stupid pigs ate it..."
Taking 20 for 19 perception.
GM Dinuci |
The pigs completely ignore Ama, they do however look a bit scared at Fish. Almalik steps over the fence and begins looking for the handle. He does not detect any magic but finds several normal sticks in between the mud. Coming closer to the house he notices that there are people moving inside. The people inside do not seem to have noticed you.
Almalik Fezana |
Almalik looks over to the rest of the group.
"So, the house?"
Avoiding the pigs with some disdain, Almalik makes his way over to the front door of the house.
GM Dinuci |
The moment the group reaches the door a woman opens the door whilst talking to someone in the house. She screams at the sight of you and a moment later a man is standing behind her with a crossbow pointed at Almalik.
"Whad'ya want?"
He says in a thick accent.
Nagbur Damnstink |
Figuring that if a human upset the woman then a kobold and a blue would be even worse, Nagbur quickly grabs Fish's arm and yanks him while stepping behind Ama to get them both out of view.

Fish Silverscale |
Just as he was about to yell out that he wanted bacon, Nagbur pulls Fish out of view. Fish then gives Nagbur a look of confusion.
Nagbur Damnstink |
Nagbur jerks a thumb towards the door of the house and whispers, "No scare longshanks."

Nagbur Damnstink |
Wow, no one's ever accused Nagbur of wisdom before. :o)

Almalik Fezana |
Almalik doesn't dignify the crossbow with a response.
"I beg your forgiveness. My companions and I have been tricked into entering these woods, and we believe that the hilt to a hammer is our means of exit. Would you perchance know where we can find it? You will also be pleased to know that we've put a stop to some goblins who may have been harassing your herd."
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16
Ama |
Ama looks over her shoulder to see what the goblin they brought is currently doing. She expects it's harassing the pigs as Almalik speaks, within plain view of the humans in the house.
GM Dinuci |
The man comes a little more into view. He looks the proper farmer but fairly young. He spits to the side and answers you.
"Fool... Y'din see tha sign din ya?"
The man moves to the side a bit and looks at Ama, her appearance not bothering him at all.
"Ya'll t'gther? Be a bit funny. Couple wit'a two kids stollin' round the woods."
He pokes his head out of the building and glances around, as if looking for a trap.
"Come'n in. You be lookin' like a trusting folk."
The woman heads inside in front of the man and sits down at a table, the man soon follows and beckons you inside whilst sitting down at the table. The woman turns around and starts stirring in a pot which is heating up on the fire. The 'ladle' which she is stirring it with however looks a lot like the material the hammer head is made of.
"What be ya lookin' for ye said?"
Almalik Fezana |
Almalik smiles gratefully.
"My thanks. We are attempting to rebuild a hammer, the hilt of which was apparently in this location. That said, I don't mean to waste too much of your time."
He looks over to the wife.
"That ladle there appears to be made out of the material we are looking for. I'm interested in buying or trading for it."
GM Dinuci |
The couple focusses their attention on Almalik.
"Wha?"
The man looks a bit confused at Almalik's speach.
"Tha' stick? Only be a nice lookin' stick te me."
He looks really thoughtful to his wife and back to Almalik.
"Ye can have it for a say.. Ah.. Two gold'n coins. If ya have'n prove of tha gobl'ns."
Nagbur Damnstink |
"You want see dead bodies, we lead to goblin camp," Nagbur quietly mutters under his breath in annoyance. Then he digs into the pouch on his belt, makes a *psst* sound at Alamlik, and tosses him two gold pieces.
So what is the goblin we followed here doing? And what of our very large friend?
Ama |
"You behave yourselves, kids!" Ama tells Nagbur, imitating what she heard a mother say to her children a few days ago.
"I don't want to hear such foul language coming from your mouth! Dead bodies, bah!"
GM Dinuci |
The woman's eyes widen a bit at Nagbur speaking. She looks down where he is hiding behind Ama but gets distracted the moment she speaks.
"My... That is..."
The man breaks in whilst she is talking.
"Let's em bodies then."
@Nagbur You left him at the edge of the pig farm. Bodur stayed behind at the goblin camp.
Nagbur Damnstink |
"Oops," says Nagbur quietly as he gives Almalik an apologetic look.
Must've been talking louder than intended. :o/
Almalik Fezana |
Almalik nods graciously.
"Forgive my companions, although their appearance may be strange rest assured they have all of our best interests in mind. And will stay away from the pigs." Almalik stares at Fish as he adds the emphasis.
"Let's go show them the results of our work."
Almalik will head back to where they killed the chief.
Nagbur Damnstink |
Well aware that humans tend to confuse blues and goblins, Nagbur nods emphatically in agreement with Almalik's promise about the pigs.
Following along behind Almalik, he pulls a jar of goblin pickles from his pack. Popping the lid and offering some to Fish he whispers, "Here. We needs stupid hammer stick. No look hungry at pigs!"
Fish Silverscale |
Fish sniffs the pickles and winces. "Fish not that hungry friend Nagbur." Fish follows the group back to the slaughtered goblin camp.
GM Dinuci |
You head off in the direction you killed all the goblins. After half an hour hike you turn up at the bloody mess you left behind. You see that bodur has left the camp through the way you came in. The woman gasps as she sees what you have left behind and the man mumbles something inaudible.
"Tha sure did earn ya a stick! Tho I still be wanting them golden pieces!"
He hands you the stick and after receiving the money he will return to his farm leaving you in the middle of the forest without a guide.
Almalik Fezana |
Almalik waves curiously at the farmers and then shakes his head to himself before looking over at Fish.
"Any luck?"
GM Dinuci |
Fish sticks the two parts together and they fit together perfectly. They do not stick together though, maybe the dwarves are able to fix it. You are in the now empty camp with the parts to help the dwarves.
Almalik Fezana |
Almalik lets out a long sigh as he looks around the area.
"So, I suppose we just keep wandering around looking for these idiot dwarves that got us in this situation in the first place?"
Ama |
Ama sees a squirrel and starts running after it. "More bacon, a small one! Don't let it escape!"
She trips and falls flat on her face, accidentally dropping her coin purse. Some of Ama's money rolls out of the purse, and in between the coins that roll out is the gold coin given to the party by the strange creature. Ama picks her money and the special gold coin up and puts all coins back in her purse.
"The mini bacon got away," she mutters with a sad face.
If we can't find the dwarves on our own... :)
GM Dinuci |
Surrounding
You are currently in the goblin camp. There leads a road from the camp to the south. You came in with Bodur from the north west through the forest, where he left behind a big mess of broken trees. To the north you are able to see the roof of a building, most likely a tower. Everything else you see is forest.
The coin was triggered with the leprechaun's name: Green ^^
Ama |
"Well, let's go there," Ama says, and starts walking toward what looks to be a tower.
GM Dinuci |
You head off in the direction Bodur entered the forest, careful not to trip over the rubble left behind. You soon find a path heading north and follow that to get closer to the tower. A final right bend in the road reveals the base of a very large round tower amidst a clearing. Walking into the clearing reveals that the tower has a single door in front of you and several windows at the very top. A small bell hangs next to the door.
GM Dinuci |
You hear some rumbling in the house followed by a creaky old voice.
"WWHHAaaaaaat?!"
A moment later the door swings open and an old man stands in front of you. A large bushy grey beard and a horn held to his right ear.
"WWHO'RE YOU? NOT SEEN YE BEFORE HERE."
The man yells in Fish's face.
Nagbur Damnstink |
Nagbur stares up at the old man. Gaze unwavering, he reaches behind Fish and gives the back of the kobold's jerkin several tugs.
"This no be dwarf."
Almalik Fezana |
Almalik groans, sick of being polite to the insane residents of the forest. Still, he is a man of good breeding and knows when to pick his fights. He puts on a big happy face.
"Excuse me fine sir, we're strangers who are lost in these wonderful woods you live in. We're looking for a party of dwarves."
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17
GM Dinuci |
The man turns the listening device towards Almalik.
"WHHAAAT? WHAT YOU WANT TO BUY YE SAID?"
You see a wide arrangement of wares stored on shelves and on several desks. Potions, armor, wands and a lot of different stuff.
Fish Silverscale |
Fish peaks inside and his eyes light up. "You fix hammer?" He asks holding up the to pieces of the dwarven hammer.
GM Dinuci |
"THAT BE A NICE HAMMER. BIT BROKEN THOUGH."
He yells at Fish.
"LET ME SEE WHAT I CAN TRADE FOR IT! COME ON IN!"
He walks inside and starts rummaging through his assortment of stuff.
"HAVE ALL KINDS OF NICE WARES FOR YOU."
He takes out a rusty pan and holds it up to Fish but immediately shakes his head and continues to search the desks and drawers. The listening horn ear trumpet stands next to him in its battered state.
Nagbur Damnstink |
Nagbur harrumphs and follows the old man in, gesticulating at his back to get his attention. "NO NO NO! We no want trade! We want get hammer fixed. We need find dwarves what belongs hammer so to give back. And we gotsta find way out!"
He glances around the room as he tries to catch the old man's eye.
Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (12) + 10 = 22 Rusty pan? Does he only have junk, or is there some decent stuff?
Ama |
Ama looks at the various items on the shelves and desks. "Some glue maybe? That could fix the hammer."
"Also, do you have any food?" Ama asks the old man. "We're in dire need of cheese."
GM Dinuci |
The old man keeps rummaging through the drawers and desks, seeming to ignore you. Though the cause of this might be that his ear trumpet is still on the ground instead of against his ear. The old man picks up a an old statue with the head missing and he throws it over his shoulder on the floor next to Nagbur. He seems to mumble to himself as he is searching.
"Nothing fitting... Where did that thing go? Should be in here shouldn't it?"
The room contains a wide arrangement of wares stored on shelves and on several desks. Potions, armor, wands and a lot of different wares.
The man is deaf as a stone :P You might want to use some more rigorous methods to get him to understand you.
