Here are a couple of links to how to guides. I am leaving these here just in case anyone has questions later.

I noticed the skills system works a bit differently in Pathfinder than standard D&D. You get your base amount. X + Int modifier at each level and then you get a +3 bonus to every "class" skill you spend a skill point in the first time you take that skill. So no multiplying your base skill point allotment at first level.
I'm just moving this discussion here from the recruitment thread. One of the things things I like about this site is the way information can be organized.
As for your observation on skill points, that's a great example of the difference between pathfinder and version 3.5 of the D&D rules. You could literally copy a basic first level character from one and drop it into a profile page. With a few tweaks it becomes 100% compliant with the new system. I strongly encourage players to keep updated versions of their character under their aliases and or profile page.
I look forward to seeing everyone's finalized characters. I also want to thank everyone for their interest in this. I know it's always a lot of book keeping and some time is invested. Another GM posted this in the forums
Of course, there are some "negatives" to PbP play, but how you handle them is more a function of you as a person than anything else. Some players see the slow play as a negative: always waiting for someone else to post. I see slow play as opportunity to craft a better response or focus on next actions. Down times and slow periods are opportunities rather than problems. Use downtime to ponder your responses or open up other avenues of RP. Or just be patient. PbP isn't an immediate gratification game...it's a long con that you're writing with others.Because I am late considering using DR and wound points, I am allowing a kind of grace period to finalize characters. For clarification, I will be using those systems and everyone gets to retool their characters if they so desire. This allowance goes away once a character gets to second level. One a level is advanced, I consider that a commitment. Only a severe change in the rules, like a major errata / update will merit a chance to rework an existing character.

Ok now what?
Okay, thanks for getting on here. It looks like it adds you to the game automatically once you post in the "Recruitment." thread. That should allow you to read and post in the Gameplay thread. I can't add you myself.

Here is a link to a discussion that two others had about joining. It explains it a lot clearer than I can. It also shows you the place you go to format text. It's pretty direct and thorough.
