Ammon Knight of Ragathiel |
one it doesn't matter, i can create weapons from magic. Two we just got out of a fight with demons, we need proof we can trust you, this land hasn't been very trustworthy.
Devic Zaitsev |
"Ehh, Ammon. No bargaining position or time please. You, сумасшедший мальчик. Ehh, I will getting this pistol back. Sentimental value, понимать?" The gas mask comes back out and as she uses another of her extracts, the eye-glass turns from red to a violet hue. Using Heightened Awareness.
Next, Devic quickly dismantles Charlie and hands over the barrel, one of few parts that remain from the original gun.
Ammon Knight of Ragathiel |
Ammon grumpily tosses his man sized sword over, Making my point clear, their security measures are pointless against a mage, Which i am.
Jaster Kite |
We're oni, motherless scum, The last remaining oni corrects Ammon with a hiss.
The bodyguard smiled. "I'm not somebody that you trust, buddy. I'm somebody that you listen to, m'kay?" He said to Ammon. "In fact, I'm gonna be completely honest with y'all, here. I'm here to be nothing but a thorn in your side, or, if things go poorly, a katana in your side. I'm not going to be trustworthy or helpful to you, but if all o' ya'll just be nice an' friendly to me and my employer, we can all go down this elevator again still breathing, and more or less in one piece.
Yes, you'll get the pistol back, provided that you're nothing but courteous to me and Shinzen-San. He said, then snaps his finger to Ammon. Might wanna put a muzzle on that one, too. Shinzen ain't as saintly as I am.
She smiled at Ammon's last implied threat. "It's not going to come down to blades or magicks, m'boy," He said. "We've got the ultimate security measures."
The bodyguard leads the group into the private dining area, revealing, long table filled with a bevy of Japanese food, at the end of it a severely beautiful Japanese woman in a black-and-red kimono is seated, hands folded over each other, smiling. At both of her sides, Silver and Frida, each chained by the wrist to the table, plates empty.
Welcome, guests. Thank you, Takahashi, for bringing them to be.
The bodyguard nodded, smiling.
We have a lot to discuss, She said, Silver and Frida didn't say anything, but exchanged quick, nervous glances to each other.
Devic Zaitsev |
I take it back. He IS a dildo after all.
Devic scans the room for other people that Shinzen may have tucked away. It might be best to leave the negotiating to the others
Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (17) + 10 = 27
It isn't racist to look for ninjas in this situation, right?
*sigh*
Hold on. Just a little longer.
Geralt Snacko |
Geralt doesn't say much, cooperating with this Katana wielding Weeaboo. He really enjoys that sword though, he better be getting it back at some point.
"Is it being a weeaboo if they are actually Japanese?" he thinks to himself as they are led to the room. Idly he focuses on a mote of time healing the superficial damage that was left over from the fight.
At first sight of Silver and Frida, he becomes glad that his cowl, as ragged as it has gotten, is still doing a great job of covering his face. A silent snarl forms on his lips at their captured forms, but he holds himself back, but he can't stop his light blue motes of time from flicking in fury, like a heat-less heatwave.
Either way, he turns his eye's to 'Shinzen'. His eyes making zero attempt to hide their distaste. though he does take great effort to hide how utterly exhausted he is from over use of his power. he's never been pushed this hard before and rapidly changing the flow of time is tiring on the soul.
Jaster Kite |
Sorry! I've lost ninety-percent of my freetime to work, last week, and I wasn't being updated to new posts except for the cough. I should have checked, though, but I'm more free-er now.
The bodyguard translates the questions the group had asked to Shinzen.
Business, Shinzen said. I want to negotiate for your services, She said. Silver and Frida looked at each other nervously, but didn't say anything. You're familiar with a mister Tomoya, are you? She asked, beginning her pitch. He's been hiding something from us. All of us. She gestures to the table. Miss Silver, here, and him, were in an agreement. She had him and his science division studying the purple matter from brazil, looking for a breakthrough, and Tomoya found something, something that he didn't share. See, I rescued Silver and Frida here. He was going to kill them. Here, I'm giving them the option to live, depending on what you're going to do for me. She smiled. You're going to infiltrate Tomoya's building, find the results of his research, and return it to me, in return for the lives of these two women. Understand? If you refuse, You will all die, and I'll move along with plan B.
Takahashi smiled. I'm plan b. He said. So, what do you have to say to that? He asked.

Why does everyone around here try to blackmail everyone? Can't you just give us a freaking job to do without threatening someone's life? Who are you people? Who runs an organization this way? And this plan B is killing the women in this room? That doesn't get you what you want anyway. Why didn't you just send your friendly neighborhood assassin over to kill Tomoya? You guys make no sense. You need us, but instead of just asking us, or heaven forbid, PAYING us, you threaten us. Why? ... Let me guess. Giving you the dreaded purple goop stuff will somehow blow up the world, so you think we might not be into that?
After her rant is over, she remembers to translate the Japanese for the rest of her friends.
Devic Zaitsev |
*Snerk* "Starting to like her."
Devic hears Nazuri's translation and her head immediately turns to Ms. Silver. She yells in a less muffled manner than the mask might suggest.
"Although... ehh, Tomoya contact did attempt murder at me..."
Ammon Knight of Ragathiel |
A small growl escapes Ammon's mouth, the normally naive warrior glaring underneath his helm, He's seething with anger. This is annoying...
Jaster Kite |
Plan A is still preferable to plan B, because we do not know in what manner Tomoya has done his experiments. Shinzen said. If you die in plan A, then Takahashi has that much more to work off of in his attempt. To further sweeten the deal, if you choose to work with me, I will allow you to choose one of these women to accompany you, as proof to Tomoya that you've accomplished what he thinks you think the mission is, at least partially. I keep the other as a bargaining chip. She smiled. I'm more worried that it will blow up Tokyo, while I'm still in it. As the A team, I much prefer you to find out that for yourself than myself or Takahashi-San. As for it's worth, well, you've studied the thing, mouse, you know it's potential better than the rest of us. So, do you agree?
Silver finally said something, You were equally as valuable to us as Tomoya was, was, and that said something. She said to Devic. But this was a situation that needed multiple perspectives, from multiple angles. I've also sen samples to a trusted wizarding academy in London, who have yet to betray me, She said.
I'd keep your pet demon-kin on a leash, Takahashi said. We're serious about killing everyone here, and I don't mean in single combat. We're not that stupid." He points up at the ceiling. This entire restaurant drops at Shinzen's command, with me and the boss-lady having teleport spells cast on us, so we get off scot-free. You, and all the innocent folk below you, on the other hand...
Devic Zaitsev |
** spoiler omitted **
Silver finally said something, Tomoya was...
"Was? Ehh, you buy story?" Devic walks over to Takahashi and says in his face:
"Guess we no have better to do. Silver let go, да? Other comments?"
Nazuri |
Nazuri rolls her eyes.
Seriously? You guys are trying to "force" us to save Tokyo from purple goo? If you want us to believe you are the good guys and Tomoya is the bad guy, and that you saved these women from him, and the world is in jeopardy, Why a hostage? Still a bad idea. Rewards are much more motivating than threats. Haven't you ever taken a leadership class in your life? Or a psychology class for that matter? This is clearly an ego motivation moment. You praise the heroes, and ask them to save the world from purple goo that was "inadvertently created by well-meaning allies." If they do, then not only will they save their own butts and all of Tokyo and its countless innocents, but you will greatly reward them. You know... some cool gear, or at the least some freaking credits. Heroes fall for that kind of stuff, and even us non-heroes fall for the cash. And then you don't get on the heroes' hit list for sometime later as soon as they get off the leash. I swear. Do you need some consultation work with negotiations? Just let the women go and offer to pay them. Cheaper for everyone.
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (16) + 14 = 30
Nazuri waits a bit to see if what she said will have any effect.
If there is no sign of it, she just shrugs and translates the Japanese for her friends (the other side's words, not her own).
Rameil |

"Wasn't there a movie about this once? Goo taking over a city or something? This country is nothing but cliches. So far." Ramiel thinks as he stays silent. He was pretty sure if he said what he wanted to say things wouldn't go well.
Geralt Snacko |
As his teammates(minus Rameil) all let there true feelings on this matter out, Geralt just stares at Frida and Silver. their expressions burned into his retina's, he's never seen them this worried and he kicks himself mentally for counting on Silver to magically fix this like she is want to do.
Geralt realize's that, besides himself, only Rameil seems to realize how...dead to rights this woman has them. it's infuriating, and terrifying at the same time, a feeling that is not welcomed nor wanted. these emotions flash through Geralt's eye's as he swiftly attempts to stamp them out...to varying forms of success.
Slowly, Geralt turns away from the Woman and her Attack Dog, making his way back to the elevator to await his team...there is no way out of this that he can see...and the faster that he gets away from Shinzen's rotten gaze, the better. doesn't matter how beautiful she is on the outside, Geralt only see's ruin on the inside.
Jaster Kite |
As much as it is saving the city, it is also you finding the research and bringing it to me, not Silver, which I get the feeling you would not do unless I had a bargaining chip. Japan need not know that it even needed heroes, today, let alone that they were greatly rewarded, but I'll tell you what, if you do me the added favor of wiping Tomoya's research after you give my copy to me, I have some spare Yakuza gear to spare.
I heard that quote, too, but I heard that quote differently, Takahashi said, replying in english, but obviously understanding the russian. People in glass houses shoud shut the f!ck up.
So, it's decided? You wanna release Silver and leave the secretary here? He asked.
Geralt Snacko |
Geralt scratches his head, leaning on the wall inside the elevator, eye's boring a hole in the hallway walls. The woman, Shinzen, her presence irk's his mind and soul.
"what's taking them so long?" he mutters, tapping his foot against the nice and expensive floor. "...Maybe i should head back...?"
Ammon Knight of Ragathiel |
yeah. sure Ammon sounds a tad cranky
Jaster Kite |
Sorry, Minnie Mouse, but I think we can handle your grudge, Takahashi said. He freed Silver, then led her to the team by the point of his blade.
Sorry this happened, She said, then whispered, We'll think of something on the way down,
You know your way. I'll give you a week before consequences occur, specifically towards poor Frida here, but I hop you'll be done by the end of the day. I expect it, even. Try to leave the country, and she dies. You can leave the Oni here.
Once in the elevator, Silver turns to the group, rubbing her wrists where she was bound. How embarassing, she muttered. Okay, we need to think of a plan. We can't just... Just give her everything that she wants,
Devic Zaitsev |
Devic nods affirmatively. "да. You ehh, forget who you hire? I have concurrently three plans this moment now. Ehh, five if am creative. Somewhere safe you know we can discuss?"
"Oh! This ehh, Nazuri. Tomoya hired as translator." Devic indicates with a bizarrely cavalier light-heartedness.
Ammon Knight of Ragathiel |
Later, we can talk in a more secure location..and sleep, i'd like some. my heads splitting. Ammon growls out i've seen operations like this before, common in england. Gangs like this are common, it's actually kind of a problem
Jaster Kite |
I know a good ramen place nearby, if we want to eat over it. I'm starving... I think Frida is, too, Silver said, mind wandering then shaking her head. They hit the bottom, and Silver led the way. Nice to meet you, Nazuri. I'm sorry that we dragged you into all of this, She said. I'm Silver, She led them to the place, a nothing-special kind of place that, overall, looked kind of bland. It smelled pretty nice, though. She led the group to the corner. So, what about those three plans, Dev? She asked.
To Nazuri, she said, It's dangerous information to be in any hands, even mine. What a crime lord like her could do with it, I don't even want to imagine, She said. Even now, its aftereffects are being scrubbed from the Amazon. The trees are still warped.
To the group being tired, she said, After this, we should find a motel to sleep at, before we get to work on a plan.
Ammon Knight of Ragathiel |
Ammon eats hungrily , quite a lot too. He quiet finally, you can see stress on his face as he removes his helm.
Geralt Snacko |
As his team talks and pigs out, Geralt's thoughts remain on their missing Frida. His finger's dig into the wood and his teeth sink into his lower lip, splitting it. luckily, he realizes what he's doing when his chin gets wet with blood.
Raising a hand, Geralt uses some of the last of his energy to heal his lips.
Letting it fall, he pokes at his own food, moving his sight to Devic and Silver to pay attention.
Jaster Kite |
The man on the other side of Nazuri's call awkwardly says he should be there in a few minutes.
I've long suspected him, Silver said, slurping up Ramen, His reports back to me said one thing, his actions afterwards, another. When I first arrived in Tokyo, I was actually attacked by a man in a red cape, and two oni in suits, She shook her head. They seemed to be waiting for me, and the only person besides Frida and him. It's hardly conclusive, but it made me suspicious enough to consider that he was hiding something from me. Exactly what, I haven't been able to find out, yet. She shook her head. Shinzen will find out, too, unfortunately, the way things are going.

"Ehh... oh! Aka Manto? Да, tried kill me too! Now he talk with some turtles or whatever the f*#!." Devic doesn't seem big on eating at the moment, just sitting close to the group as a whole.
"So. Ehh, plans. Need reconnaissance see which is best but ideas is ideas, yes?"
"I take data on time virus, scrub all back-ups. We keep information, but give copy to Shinzen. Copy would be altered enough as to uselessness. Like gall bladder, or Japanese censorship laws."
"Could also replace last step with something. Like ehh, backdoor program and worm extracting investors bank information, throw it out on internet. Do real damage to her. Then we get creative."
Nazuri |
I don't think getting in will be a problem. I mean, I have worked for Mr. Tomoya many times. They know me; he knows me. We could combine options two and three--distract him by telling him the truth and listening to his story, while you go steal the information anyway in case he is pure evil like everyone else seems to be around here?
Jaster Kite |
Sounds like we have our pick of options, Silver said, We should reach a concensus as a group and move on from there,
The pizza arrived, the dilvery guy awkwardly handed it to Nazuri as he avoided stares from any of the other customers in the ramen shop.
I want to believe that Tomoya wasn't the man to send that Aka Manto after me, Nazuri said. And that this was somehow some strange way to pit me against him. I've known him for a long while. He was never my nicest friend, but we've been pretty close. I want to hear him out, but I want to do that from a safe distance, you know.
Ammon Knight of Ragathiel |
not sure how much help ill be, most i do is fight. i can pick locks and break things, thats about it. general procedure dictates we rescue Frida first, then be spiteful and screw them...Hard. Find out personal information, something embarrassing and ruining and throw it to the media, could be fun
Geralt Snacko |
"I like the idea of giving her a timed virus personally' Geralt grouches, this whole trip leaving a bad taste in his mouth. "our 1st goal should be to make sure Frida gets out alive...if a plan can't give us that it should be ignored"
