Ammon Knight of Ragathiel |
Ghouls, Zombies are mindless.Ammon corrects
Ammon Knight of Ragathiel |
It's a difference worth noting Devic. Ghouls can think, that means they can make plans...it's not a mistake you want to make. Ammon states following along
Ammon Knight of Ragathiel |
I'm not an idiot, top of my class in school actually...in everything except horseback riding and cooking, for obvious reasons referring to his rather large hands and blade, sighing Ammon continues, Actually funny story, i wound up in a religious studies class thinking i could learn about devils and demons, maybe learn more about my blood.Instead i wound up learning about undead.
Ammon Knight of Ragathiel |
You didn't say it no, sorry i'm use to people thinking that because i charge into combat like an idiot that i am one. Ammon smiles happily, humming a tune Books, a teacher sounds like school to me, Learning from family makes it easier. Duncan my adopted father and the rest of the Order taught me a lot. I kind of miss them, do you miss your family?
Devic Zaitsev |
I could talk all day about family. Papa, Raikov, Sokolov, Filipov, Illya... but ehh, miss them? Is hard question. They are one's I text on this phone constantly. But... I never was too far from them until now. I liked calling Sokolov gl-

Ve find connection between murders Ge- Moment. Then ve stop them. Likely with more murder. Is ironic.
Devic also declines the help although less polite, and more head shaking without eye contact. Focusing on using her words carefully she continues with.
Still have reason to search graveyard further.
Jaster Kite |
Not until recently. The priestess said. Most cemetaries have to have a few guards on watch in case a skeleton or zombie spontaneously rises. Nothing more than that every few weeks. What did you see out there?
Ghouls. Nameirtae answered. Well-organized.
That's... that makes sense. The woman said. We've had reports of grave robbers from visitors, though no substantial evidence until the next day, when there are graves torn apart. It could have been the ghouls. Yes, I'm certain of it, now.
You hear laughter again, faint, off in the distance. Animalistic. It was the hyena's cry.
Ammon Knight of Ragathiel |
Ya know know that i think about it how's you Gnoll been population lately?
Ammon Knight of Ragathiel |
I'm still thinking about that hyena we saw, it was odd, or it would be unless it was trained like a war dog of sorts that's what we do in England with dog's. Gnoll's might do that, I mean don't get me wrong or anything but Ghouls hunt for food, they wouldn't be picky about what race it is. This thing with the Ghouls could be a wild goose chase, besides right now nothing is Insignifigant, all information is relevant Ammon turns toward the door about to open it.
Ammon Knight of Ragathiel |
Ammon turns and smiles Relax i'm here and i have my blade. whatever happens i'll defend you all. I mean I'm Ammon and i will not fall. He turns back to the door blade drawn as he opens it to check the noise.
Skjor, Viking Lord of Rock |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |
Suddenly the hyena, foam frothing at the mouth, lunges through the door, its teeth sinking into Ammon's neck as the dread god Murphy laughs at his predicament.
Shaking his head at the youth's bravado, Skjor moved up beside him. "Do not become overconfident in your abilities, my friend," he cautioned as Aegis found itself back into his hands. "There is always a bigger fish to be summoned."
For reference, Skjor's last line is based on a web comic that takes screenshots from the Star Wars movies and turns it into a "What if Star Wars was a D&D campaign" story. That specific line is from the Phantom Menace storyline when they are leaving the Gungan city and Obi-Wan casts 'Summom Bigger Fish' to get rid of the large fish trying to eat them. Need to find that comic again...
Ammon Knight of Ragathiel |
The hyena would have to bite through plate metal armor, advantage me brah.
It's not over-confidence, Duncan always called it being stupidly determined. I do one thing maybe two if you want to be specific, i have nothing to be over confident about
Jaster Kite |
The comic's named Darth's and Droids. It's awesome.
The Hyena walks in, nodding almost politely to him.. It's eyes begin to glow a bit, then it's mouth opened.
Well done making it this far. It said, shocking the priestess, Nameirtae taking a step back and putting his hand on his holster. Sharing with that rabble was... distasteful. It's eyes turn over to the officer. He's one of them, isn't he? I can smell it.
He laughs. You wouldn't want to part with him, would you? In return, the rest of you less... agravating creatures can walk away. Either way, I'm not leaving here hungry.
Ammon Knight of Ragathiel |
What the hell are you? Hyena's aren't supposed to talk. If your hungry find something else people are off the menu
Jaster Kite |
You recognise the creature from mythology, a Ghul, a restless Janni soul intent on revenge to all genie-kin, known for taking the form of a hyena in order to observe it's prey.
You have talking vermin in your midst and a talking hyena is odd to you? Mortals are so... interesting. The hyena said.
Skjor, Viking Lord of Rock |
"It is a spirit beast, one bent on killing all genie-kin," Skjor said, his eyes narrowing. "Begone, foul beast, and darken this plane no more!" he said forcefully to the creature.
Ammon Knight of Ragathiel |
As a Knight of Lord Ragathiel, it is my duty to extinguish dark forces. You've hurt people, too many...Vengeance for them must be taken Ammon stands in front of the beast. he turns to his companions Are we all in agreement to what must be done?
Jaster Kite |
Please, vermin, you make it sound more grandiose than it really was. I was hungry, and there was a hefty store of my favorite meals here. It sniffed the air. Tiefling, Aasimar... humans... rat. I suppose I can't be too picky here, can I?
It lowered it's neck
You hear a crack, first it's shoulders, then it's back, it's limbs twist and stretch. By the time these grotesque noises had ceased, what was once a hyena stood up on two legs, now a skeletal man in a three-piece suit, a fine grey resembling it's original fur.
It adjusts it's tie. Now, can we handle this in a civil manner? I'm not that hungry, but now that those ghouls are gone, I could save myself a few days of snacks. I only really need the cop over here.
Only thing you'll be tasting here is the dirt, abomination. Nameirtae said, moving in front of the priestess.
Ammon initiative: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10

Rameil |
"Never an easy day." Ramiel replies as he summons up his store of mental energy to pull ectoplasm onto the Material Realm and throw it at the creature.
Manifesting Entangling Ectoplasm and attacking the Ghul with it.
Ranged Touch Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21
If that hits, the Ghul is Entangled for 5 rounds, but can use a move action to try and escape with either a DC 13 Strength check or a DC 13 Escape Artist check.
Devic Zaitsev |
Neat, now I don't have to do that. Still need to know if Mutagen took effect though.
Ehh... tam dolzhno byt' chto-to umnoye , ya mogu skazat'...
Devic's eyes start to dart to the side as she retrieves one of her vials of holy water to throw at the undead creature.
Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20 Add 2 to total if mutagen is in effect.
Damage: 2d4 + 6 ⇒ (4, 1) + 6 = 11
Jaster Kite |
I'm back! Though it tried to kill me, twelve hours in a kitchen and a bout of alergies was just not enough.
Sorry bout that. You hadn't drinked it yet. How do mutagens taste, by the way?.
The Ghul is caught in the ectoplasm, and Devic's vial of holy water connects, burning it's skin and scarring it's face.
Ammon Knight of Ragathiel |
Ammon rages as a free action and then attacks
Ammon begins screaming in anger, his rather large hands growing vicious claws, his aura glows dark and cold. he proceeds to swing his blade.
attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24
damage: 2d8 + 9 ⇒ (6, 4) + 9 = 19
Geralt Snacko |
Geralt swiftly pulls the cowl upon his face and charges straight at the ghul, trailing blue wisps behind and eyes faintly glowing

Skjor, Viking Lord of Rock |
Damage: 1d12 + 10 ⇒ (7) + 10 = 17
Power Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11
Wanting to end this quickly, and put the spirits of the slain to rest, Skjor adjusted his grip on Aegis and delivered a powerful swing.
Jaster Kite |
The blow cracks open a few ribs. It hunches over, coughing dust from thin lips.
Nameirtae aims his pistol, setting the nozel right where he saw the Ghul's eyes would be.
Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15
Damage: 1d8 + 0 ⇒ (1) + 0 = 1
The shot missed it's head, though the Ghul almost jumped at near-hit.
Jaster Kite |
The Ghul raises it's hands, claws extend from it's fingertips, and it slashes at both Ammon and Skjor.
Attack against Ammon: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (11) + 10 = 21
Damage against Ammon: 1d4 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
Attack against Skjor: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (5) + 10 = 15
Damage against Skjor: 1d4 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
Any hit are now bleeding for one point of damage each round.
Geralt Snacko |
Alright I think I'll just go now
Taking a few steps back to regain his bearings, Geralt jumps back in with ano there swing
attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27
confirmation: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11
damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Ammon Knight of Ragathiel |
So whose turn is it next? i'm a bit lost
Ammon Knight of Ragathiel |
Fine with me
attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15
damage: 2d8 + 9 ⇒ (1, 6) + 9 = 16
