Pathfinder: Ascension (Inactive)

I'm all for dat. You're well aware of how much I enjoy RoP, after all.

I like it. It also brings in a bit of related flavor of what we discussed about the Walker.

If you think it genuinely improves the story, I'm all for it, as usual. And I should have my stat table done tonight or tomorrow. I'm been kinda hammered with s%~# to do lately, so maybe this switch to PbP will work to my benefit more than I expected.

It's okay, I have a lot to do right now too. I'm (finally) moving this week.

I'm putting together a wiki for the "Ruins" alternate reality. Not a lot of the historical stuff will affect this campaign since it occurs before the divergence in the timeline from the established Golarion canon.

But I'm chronicling all of the related shared-universe campaigns there. I should be getting us back on track after this weekend, there'll be a new gameplay/discussion thread as well since I can't unlink this one.

Taking a look at Okrin's character sheet on the Paizo forums, there was barely anything to change - so I'm good to go!

Well guys, I probably should've mentioned this earlier, but I'm also running a Ruins of Pathfinder campaign soon - Ruins of Pathfinder: Road to Damnation. This campaign, in hindsight, is similar to Ascension in the expedition-feel that will end up taking everyone away from Golarion. Except that instead of going to the stars, we're going to the planes. Road trip through Hell! (Technically all of the Lower Planes)

Still got a little less than a week - feel free to join in!

Yeah I messaged Rob, and he's been really busy - he hasn't forgotten about us though.

So, I had a bit of a writing chunk fall out of my head today. It'll take place the first time the party goes to sleep after reaching level 2 and Karrn takes the Aspect of the Beast feat.

Hey guys, sorry for being incommunicado for so bloody long. I've been really busy working on two Pathfinder projects (I'm on the writing team for the Mummy's Mask Adventure Path!) and getting settled in to my new apartment/other life things.

After doing some thinking, I've decided to pause ascension for a little while. Some new books that have come out since I first developed this campaign have changed a lot of my perspective on where I wanted to take the story and I think when I do decide to revisit it there'll need to be a bit of a reboot (the campaign was heading to Numeria and there's a whole Numeria adventure path coming out next year).

However, I wanted to let you guys know that I'm opening up recruitment on a new campaign located over here that you are all totally recommended to check out. It's a PbP so the time requirements are much more relaxed.

I do plan on coming back to Ascension at some point, but at the moment the time just isn't right.

Awww. Understandable, if disappointing (I was really looking forward to getting back into things). Still, though, life always comes first. Hopefully we won't be waiting too long; I want to see where things go. Even if the upcoming Blood of the Moon is probably going to make me look at my planned build for Karrn and tear it to itty-bitty shreds with new options.

On a side note, the Google doc URL seems to hate the Paizo forums. As in it won't let the link work no matter what. I need to figure out a workaround.

EDIT: Finally got the doc working. Urgh. Karrn's dream.

Aw, that's a shame. Still, I can't say I'm surprised - I had bee wondering what the various new books would do for things. I'll definitely take a look at the PbP though. I look forward to when Ascension makes it's return, just let me know!
