My plan is to follow Saul after the rest of the guards head into the alley. I'm not much good in a brawl, so I figured Dorin could go into the alley to help even the odds while I went after the barkeep.
Let me know when the guards leave.

Good plan! You follow the one easy target and leave it to the rest of us to murder (or get murdered by) the city guards and have a death warrant on our heads. Can you define for me again your definition of "we have this in the bag?" Lol
'Make it nice and easy' I says 'don't let him get his guard (and Guards!) Up I says...sigh
If I didn't know any better, I'd say a certain sorcerer is out to get us

Hey, just because the plan didn't work out like we'd wanted doesn't mean it was a bad plan. It's still working better than "start a giant brawl by walking into the bar and getting recognized".
The guards being in the bar are the only thing that makes this difficult.
We can still light a fire if you want. :)

PHD, you're just bound and determined to make this as difficult as possible, aren't you...
What the hell kind of guard captain finishes his drink while there's a brawl going on? This guy's a jerk.
How hard would it be to work some kind of magic to let me follow Saul without him noticing? Increase the effects of the alcohol maybe? Or just use an illusion or something to make it seem like I never left my seat?
I'd imagine the alcohol thing would be easier.

The main reason they are there is because they are suspicious that you are somehow involved with what is going on in the alley. They don't have enough proof to warrant taking action against either of you, but they are keeping on eye out all the same. Saul's a canny guy, and isn't easily played, especially by a couple of suspicious looking foreigners.
As a rank 2 spell you could go invisible for a moment and leave an illusionary image of yourself still sitting drinking at the bar, but it wouldn't last very long.
You could do something as simple as a sleep spell fairly easily, which might be faster than trying to increase the potency of their alcohol, which you could also do.

Holding off on posting rolls for two questions.
First: A bit unsure of what kind of damage the hammer should do - I think in the last game, we went with flail (1d8) due to it being a big ol' two-handed dealy, but it would be totally reasonable to call it a club or mace, too.
Second: Does cultural weapon master add to the damage or the hit roll? Or both, I suppose.

Hey guys, sorry it took me so long to post - could've sworn I did so a few days ago from my phone, but I guess said phone ate it or something. Also, I know this is lame, but I'm having issues with the dice roller this evening - possibly I'm just sleep deprived, but there it is. Anybody mind rolling that attack for me?

I'll be away for the weekend, don't know if I'll have net access, so if there's the need to DMPC my PC, please do. See ya!
PS what's up with the game?

Sorry guys, I think I'm kind of at the point where I'm not really into this game enough to do it justice. With my hectic real life I keep forgetting about it, which has made my posting a bit inconsistent and the php format isn't really cutting it for me. Thanks for the effort you guys put into creating and rping your characters. I think this could have been a cool game in a face to face campaign, but I've come to realize pbp just moves too slow to maintain my interest.
Cheers, and happy gaming with all your other and future gaming endeavours.

No hard feelings, sir - this isn't the first time Dorin's gone into limbo in Shadizar, and I'm sure it won't be the last. I'll just keep bringing him back until a plotline actually resolves. =)

PHD, would you mind making the game Inactive?

PHD, can you make the game inactive please?
