I am going to try and pick up the pace in the game-thread to some extent.

To do that and to handle other components I am going to discuss assumptions and offer some hints/suggestions that might come up over dinner over drinks etc that would seem to me to occur naturally.

Such as telling Honest Minstrel about how you came to be here, or what things lead you here, and what information you have, etc.

One thing currently holding some information is the hedgemonic plate...that unfortunately no one knew much about....
HM being a bard and/or the chisel might know more.

The question I have is that something someone had in mind or is it something that was kind of forgotten?

Up to you KenderKin I am fine with whatever decision you make. I know in my table top game I take breaks throughout the year to recharge the batteries and give players a chance to keep Friday nights free for family especially on Christmas Holidays and summer weekends.

From What I see Broccan needs 3rd to 8th and Edrukk has finals next week, so lets call it a break until the 8th. I suspect it will be slow going on the 8th and later, with another slow down due later in December....We have survived several of these before and will do so again!

A Halfling or gnome who was part of the original chartered group a survivor, his tribe would be men at arms, his chief would be the commander, his location would be a settlement, etc..

How about a Halfling Summoner/Warpriest? These are classes I have not touched on before. If not, I would likely go with Paladin as a Core Class.

Actually second level, so you can have a dip into a class right away.

I am still "semi-privately" recruiting for this.....rather than posting a full on recruitment thread. The campaign is up with people checked in at the discussion thread. This puts me at 3/5 PCs for the game.

I wanted to try a different vision of Kingmaker starting with Falcon's Hollow and Darkmoon Vale. It seems to me that the hollow is a great place to take control of the area and carve a kingdom. My rough idea is the Darkmoon Vale series, then facing off against the Lumber Consortium and other foes from the Guide to Darkmoon Vale, then importing the Kingmaker series to make it an AP. You don't really need a charter, just players willing to take prestige classes such as Justicar and Inheritor's crusador, etc.... If you have any (interest) ideas or links to share just let me know.

That sounds interesting,
and that link above does give even werewolf progression along with other lycans. It even has a number of fey I would not mind trying.

I am still trying to hammer out a way to start Kingmaker in Falcon's Hollow, Darkmoon Vale. I was going to try and go with the modules, up to Bastion of the Last Baron.....having promoted the half-elf Sheriff to Swordlord and have him giving the order to go on that mission. Ending with the PC's obtaining a Charter of exploration/rulership and having them battle the Lumber Consortium, the Dark fey, the other groups, and the Kingmaker baddies..(even having the nymph of the vale series killed by the major villian of KM. I am trying to make a seamless transition to turning darkmoon vale into an independent kingdom under the rulership of the PCs....I know you ran a play by post of the bastion of the last baron. Interested in helping me figure out the modules, and making a consistent vision of Kingmaker Darkmoon Vale edition????

Any help would be appreciated!!!

I would break away from the KM structure a lot...

I know the Darkmoon Vale mini-AP is well made and does go up to about level 7~8 ish. You could use those as a base for the starting story, then after Hungry Are the Dead, the party could be powerful enough and have enough influence with the townsfolk that a mini-civil war breaks out in Falcon's Hallow, and this is where you could branch pending the result of the fight;
if the Lumber Consortium wins, they become it's all powerful leaders and rule with an iron fist and the Party is now a small hunted rebel group,
if the Party wins they become it's rulers and the consortium loses all it's influence, what happens to them is up to the party.

Here is where a branch can have an effect on the mini-civil war, best if the Party makes the choice and can only do one.

For the module after Revenge of the Kobold King the choice
is to run either Carnival of Tears or Tower of the Last Baron.

If you run Last Baron, I'd change it so that the party is infiltrating another town where the Lumber Consortium carries a lot of influence and are having secret talks and they have a project to "enforce" their will on Falcon being made there.

If you run Carnival of Tears completing it gains the respect of the local fey and townsfolk. Even to the point where the fey will ally with the party for the mini-civil war.

after the civil war pending result;
if the party won, they begin claiming and building things up
if the party lost, they do Fangwood Keep (modified) and over throw the Lumber Consortium then it switches to the party having won the mini-civil war.

I would not restrict races, I'd open them up more; all core, Kobold, Lycan, and Fey races. The PF bestiary levels would provide the means for Lycan and fey races to be played.

As for the townsfolk, I'd be adding more custom NPCs for a few reasons.
One of which is making a Last Tower equivalent.

I have those modules, and am looking big picture wise to incorporate the KingMaker AP to cap the Darkmoon Vale mini-AP.
So the idea is to run the Falcon's Hollow games....
Campaign traits will the the Darkmoon Vale and Kingmaker traits...

Running the modules in this order.
Hollow's Last Hope 1st level
Crown of the Kobold King 2nd level
?????
Fangwood Keep 4th level
Revenge of the Kobold King 5th level?
Tower of the last Baron 5th level OR Carnival of fear 5th level?
Hungry are the Dead 6th level
***mini civil war breaks out vs the Lumber Consortium!!!
Win for PCs begin Kingdom building
Loss for PCs modified Fangwood Keep to root out the LC for good
Realm of the Fellnight Queen 7th level

I like the idea of having the civil war, and having a lost battle mean that the war can still be won. I also like the idea of having kingdom building start at that time. I was hoping to but down on NPCs replacing the commander from Tower with the Sheriff from Falcon's Hollow. I do like to cut down unessential NPC's but that means the sheriff becomes a swordlord or something.

For this I would NOT go with reps from different tribes and I'd drop that idea,
Allow folks to go core races and a few more (even have fey and lycans), even have PCs play Falcon's hollow towns folk, or something from a local tribe.
(though I'd limit the tribes in the area to; Fey, Lycan, Kobold, Humanoid (Falcon's Hollow townsfolk))

I'd drop mites as they are Evil Fey, who do bloody vengence.
I'd keep the Kobolds since they are less likely to have caused trouble to local townsfolk.

Given the lore in the area there is not any mention on ratfolk and or catfolk, but tons for Lycans (werewolf the most) and Fey. And One can assume Kobold tribes are in the area since, well one kobold group is the focus of a module.

Yes the four tribes version of KM is starting and completely separate from the Darkmoon Vale version of Kingmaker. No way I would try to combine those!

Oh that helps in clearing things up.
That bestiary level PDF would be a helper in getting the lycans and Fey playable for any PC.

Heck I would make a Nymph character, with an interesting backstory.

I think that might work better, my vision is falcon's hollow without the blackscour taint, but including the fey and human disease from PFS scenario The Pallid Plague..(without factions)..so including the nymph PC might work out even better....I am still working on fleshing out the details of the Campaign, but the wayfinder issue helps as well. I might have to limit one lycan and one fey.

The other idea is later on to go into KM, maybe having the friendly nymph killed off by the villianis from KM instead of the dead unicorn encounter.....

Anyway I like to have everything prepared before I start, so plenty of time for input, etc

As for jumping into KM after Realm of the Fellnight Queen, we could look at other 3.5 modules or other PF modules, since APs go with medium XP speed, and modules go with fast XP speed.

What I have planned for the character is that she is a nymph, but looks closer to a half(or quarter)-elf at the start and as she levels up in nymph she'll look closer to a nymph til 8th level where she has unlocked all her racial abilities.

This would put her in a spot where her fey heritage and human upbringing could cause some nice character development

As she was raise by humanoid hands who all thought and therefore she thought, she was a half(or quarter)-elf.

I'd just need to know what Point-Buy and other things before I start building the character data.
