Male Human Bard/7
Spoiler:
HPs: 60/60 AC: 18 T12 FF16 Percerption+6 Init +4

Sorry I've been away, as the might be made redundant, is now a confirmed redundant so I've had my mind on other things ... Hope to be back in a more stable way in the next couple of weeks.

M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA

Sorry for the pace. I have found that my coding document is not finished or has errors in it.

I have a test thread where I post stuff to test it.....

M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA

Sent HD a message to post....

I think given that Easter Weekend, and school finals are upon us, RL might be throwing some wrenches.

M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA

No worries, you can make that lore check when you get back!

I am ruling that the secret door accesses the simplified map, rather than attempting to navigate the actual maze....

Render of Alkaid Holding back Broccan

M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA

I like it!

Tried a New renderer (Iray) for DAZ, it's fast and gives great renders, but it has a few annoying things about it.

Dwarven Warpriest of Gorum| AC 20, T 11, F 19| HP 78/99| F 8 R 4 W 9, +2 vs poison, spells, spell-like abilities| Init +1| Perc +5| Fervor 6/7| Blessing 7/7| Sacred weapon 7/7| armor 7/7

Nice - but I actually picture her as being more imposing than that, somehow.

Alkaid and Broccan are to scale, I did what I could do with the posing to set the scene from my mind.

M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA

I am thinking a caption contest may be in order here!
Admittedly it was one of the first things I thought of when I looked at the picture.

-"Honey, come back to bed."

----"Beer....."

M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA

Looking for a picture of the warlord....

=druid%20lich&filters[primary]=images&filters[secondary]=videos&sort=1&o=5] maybe this one..

Any suggestions?

The lich-king from Wow.....?

M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA

So far this is the best rendering I have found......

The idea is a druidic knight undead creature......

Ah, I could see if I have the resources to make that.

Scene Render

M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA

Nice render, though he seems to have very little clothing.

I put the corpse in aborigional clothes, and is covered ankel to shoulder.

M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA

I know he's scary looking but everyone can talk to him.

on a side note I am talking to a new player for the next chapter. Sanstree might be taking a hiatus leaving you with someone new to interact with.

M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA

I am charging myself a 5 yard penalty for delay of game.

To be fair though Brocc asked an intelligent question and I had to come up with an answer.....

I guess the lunkhead meat shield comes through with something insightful every now and then. ;-)

M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA

Grumble grumble dang modules are never up to par....

You are talking to a man that fell in a great battle and this is all the module gives me.....(bolded part for him)...

Centuries ago, druids gathered from across the land to
build a double stone circle deep in an ancient forest.
Consecrated as a holy site, it provided a sacred place
immune to scrying by outsiders, wherein they could
hold their most important yearly rituals.

Long afterward, but still long ago, the area was the
site of two great battles in which Saithnar the Warlord
defeated invading armies but perished as a result of
the second battle. The massive barrow raised in his
honor is still a local landmark, standing a few miles
northwest of the stone circles.

Then came the disaster that devastated and depopulated
the area. The great dragon Ashardalon

Now I have to fix it....Grumbling continues......
Has anyone been watching the TV series Vikings? (I am adapting elements of their plot line.....

Long afterward, but still long ago, the area was the site of two great battles in which I Saithnar the Warlord defeated invading armies of Northmen, who came in their great boats from their homelands to the West, long had they sailed only West invading and conquering other places and other lands. However there arose one among them who did determine how to navigate to the East. The Northmen’s first invasion hit a small outpost though they were able to take items of great value. That success prompted a second raid, this one battle was not so much won as the Raiders looted and retreated to their home, once again in the third spring they came again in ever greater numbers, I fell in combat taking their King Ragnar into death with me. They say that one day the raiders may return, but their seers and adepts take the death of a king as a most dire omen against again sailing East……

wrong thread

M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA

I will put it in there after I fix it.....grumble grumble....

M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA

Would the bard or anyone else like to write some results for knowledge checks regarding Northmen, Vikings, and what not?

M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA

So who wants to write something for those knowledge checks....so the DM doesn't have to?

M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA

Grumble......

The Norsemen or Northmen live on a couple of distinct islands set towards the North, these islands have cold winters and the Northmen only sail out in the spring to raid.

The Northmen are large barbarians who have no written word, and tend to readily fight and kill any in their path. The war-like natures tend to be attributed to how they interact with both each other and the outside world, and also the influence of deities of unknown origins.

They are often seen wearing hide or leather armors, carrying large shields (which hang on their boats), and fight with axes.

As a heads-up, I will be camping with my family this weekend, and will most likely not be able to post. Please bot me as needed. I should be back posting no later than Tuesday.

I will be away for a week. I suspect posting will be restricted or non-existent. Feel free to bot Edrukk as necessary.

M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA

Actually just waiting for another PC to weigh in on where you guys are going.

Back to town or to find the elves?

M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA

So two questions
1) Do we need a map?
2) How do you feel about a re-visiting of monsters that you have seen earlier in the adventure (a monster mash-up of sorts)?

Answers:
1) only for complex terrains and or fights
2) I don't think I would mind.

Dwarven Warpriest of Gorum| AC 20, T 11, F 19| HP 78/99| F 8 R 4 W 9, +2 vs poison, spells, spell-like abilities| Init +1| Perc +5| Fervor 6/7| Blessing 7/7| Sacred weapon 7/7| armor 7/7

1) No, we have had fights without them. I just don't know where we are, relatively speaking, to the bad guys.
2) I think that's the DM's prerogative

Male Human Brawler 3 I AC 17 T 13 FF 14 l HP 40/40 l F +7 R +6 W +2 l Init +3 l Perc +1 I Action Points 1/6 I Att +6 I CMB +5/+7*/+9** I CMD 17/+19*

1.) As long as I know where I am, a map is not required.
2.) I am fine with a monster mash-up, if that's the way you want to go.

M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA

Hellhound to the right of me, Grick to the left of me....

What's going to be straight ahead?

Guy is summoning monsters, brought back the Hell hound from last chapter and the Grick from Forge of Fury......

Module suggests Howlers as the summon of preference...

M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA

Anyone seen Hermes?

M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA

I just sent HD a private message.

Sorry I've dropped from the game, its just not easy to fit in with life at the moment. I've really enjoyed playing this adventure with you and want to thank you all for making it such fun. I've dropped from all my games on Piazo boards (the only boards I play), and will hopefully pick up again in the future.

It was a blast whilst it lasted, and I wish you all the best for the future.

aka Hermes Depuis

M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA

Thanks for the heads up Deevor. I hope everything is going well for you.

Soon to be starting a new chapter with a new player and everyone will be 8th level!

M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA

I have put Tully with Broccan.

I hope the map is ok, I really need to set up a google docs so that everyone can move themselves around (in the excel spreadsheet)!

Dwarven Warpriest of Gorum| AC 20, T 11, F 19| HP 78/99| F 8 R 4 W 9, +2 vs poison, spells, spell-like abilities| Init +1| Perc +5| Fervor 6/7| Blessing 7/7| Sacred weapon 7/7| armor 7/7

Thanks for the map. Even if we just call out coordinates and you update the map once a round, that would be fine. I am in or lurking in several games doing it that way.

M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA

So close to closing this chapter and of course finding loot!

M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA

It seemed tacky to post loot along with Tully's death....

Loot:
Henwen possessions: Dying staff(16 charges; see Appendix III: New Magic Items), one block of incense of obsession, platinum ring worth SO gp (focus for shield other spell).
Tully possessions: +2 studded leather armor, +1 keen bastard sword, 4 darts, ring of mind shielding.
Dyson possessions: Dagger, potion of cure light wounds, arcane scroll of see invisibility, cloak of charisma +2, wand of non-detection, platinum ring worth 50 gp (focus for shield other spell)

Dying Staff: This staff is constructed from humanoid bones wired together into a single piece. It allows use of the following spells:
• Animate dead (1 charge)
• Create undead (2 charges)
*Reincarnate (7 charges)
*Resurrection (10 charges)

Dwarven Warpriest of Gorum| AC 20, T 11, F 19| HP 78/99| F 8 R 4 W 9, +2 vs poison, spells, spell-like abilities| Init +1| Perc +5| Fervor 6/7| Blessing 7/7| Sacred weapon 7/7| armor 7/7

As I posted in the other thread, Tully shouldn't have died unless there's some other effect.

KenderKin wrote:

Sorry for throwing a wrench, and going for a delay.

it would be a Good RP delay, and also help you get some time to prepare any materials you'll need made.

M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA

Well you guys got a magic item and several options of what to do with it.

You can resurrect Tully or grant her wish that you resurrect the paladin (ie the horseman)?

Resurrect one and reincarnate the other?

Reincarnate both?

Let them both rot?

Animate one or both as undead servants?

Indeed you have both the tool for the job and the RP time to decide! ; )

Rogue 2/Cleric of Pharasma 14 | HP = 157/157 | AC = 27 | Initiative +8 | Perception +22 | CMD – 23 | CMB – +11 | F +12 (+14 Spider Poison) | R +13 | W +14 | Channels 12/12 | HP = 2/2 | Cold Resistance 20

I am so close to playing I can smell it :-)

M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA

According to your background story you are either in or headed to Ossington right now.....

Rogue 2/Cleric of Pharasma 14 | HP = 157/157 | AC = 27 | Initiative +8 | Perception +22 | CMD – 23 | CMB – +11 | F +12 (+14 Spider Poison) | R +13 | W +14 | Channels 12/12 | HP = 2/2 | Cold Resistance 20

YES! :-)

If that does not make sense, let me know and we can adjust but I believe that is the direction the group is headed in now correct?
