Variel Arivae |
GM V I believe the black ninja takes damage from the swarm before he moves last round. Vomit swarm is just standart action to cast, I moved close to him when casted the spell and the spider swarm also moves 40ft. It does not have to roll attack, just end its movement by the enemy's square to do dmg, poison and distraction ability..
Variel concentrates to direct the swarm after the escaping ninja.
Heccan Abraxi |
Heccan, seeing the northern ninja being harassed by a swarm of vermin, focuses his attention on the ninja closest to him. He sneers and unleashes a slew of unerring arcane projectiles at the wounded foe.
Heccan will take a standard action to cast magic missile at the blue ninja.
MM damage: 4d4 + 4 ⇒ (1, 3, 3, 2) + 4 = 13
GM V |
Just going to have the swarm follow the Ninja
Heccans magic bolt strikes the ninja and it goes down. The swarm slowly follows the last ninja!
Attack Heccan: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24

Kira starts an incantation.

CSW: 3d8 + 7 ⇒ (5, 7, 8) + 7 = 27 times 1.5 for 40 pts healed
Heccan Abraxi |
Heccan takes a few steps back and attempts to find cover from the last ninja. Once behind a pillar, he withdraws a black wand with deep red trim, and presses it rather forcefully into his arm. The sorcerer grits his teeth as dark energies flood his body.
Heccan takes a move action to find cover and a standard action to cast Infernal Healing from his wand. It is a full round cast sho should go off beginning next round. Also, I believe the samsaran is still under the effects of Heccan's invisibility spell.

I assume the rest of us are up now. That being said...
Fully recovered from his wounds, Aramil charges forward to contend with the final adversary.
Double move to behind the pillar.

Heccan Abraxi |
Heccan wrinkles his brow in annoyance at the ninja's resilience. His eyes once again take on a sinister scowl as he reaches back into his reservoir of dark arcane power. Heccan splays his hands, sending four globes of brilliant energy speeding at the last standing assailant.
Heccan will cast magic missile and target the black ninja. Also, Heccan's charge of Infernal Healing should go off at the start of his, granting the sorcerer fast healing 1 for 10 rounds.
Magic Missile: 4d4 + 4 ⇒ (1, 2, 2, 3) + 4 = 12
Aramil Sionadel |
Aramil takes a 5-ft. step around the pillar and attacks the ninja with both sawtooth sabres.

Aramil Sionadel |
Aramil breathes a sigh of relief as the last enemy falls. He then begins searching the bodies, looking for any markings or symbols that might identify them (and a little loot wouldn't hurt, either).
Perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (5) + 11 = 16
Heccan Abraxi |
Heccan lets out a relieved sigh as the last of their attackers is vanquished. He stretches his neck as the infernal magic heals his wounds. The sorcerer leans down to where the samsuran was last scene. Double checking to make sure the danger of the moment has passed, he closes his eyes and releases the veiling spell cast upon the samsuran. Heccan turns to the man "Truly, a remarkable welcoming party, good sir. Friends of yours?"
Infernal healing spell should get Heccan back to full health.
GM V |
The samsaran wakes up and smiles at you. Thanking you for your aid he stands. And hand you a sheet while saying. “My veiled life; my only failing. For decades, I have communed with my own past lives, in preparation for my passage to the Great Beyond, for only a soul in perfect balance with karma may transcend. Yet this shadow incarnation is silent, and it vexes me. I wonder now, did these assassins know of some slight of which I, myself, am ignorant? Friends—indulge an old man’s curiosity. If you can travel to the loci of my lives before and after, then two relics there may point toward the mystery and l ift the veil. I am too f rail to travel, but I have an item here that may allow you to show me those relics from afar.”
grimdog73's pregen character |
I think we as a whole would be happy to aid you, sir. Could you tell us what these relics look like?
As Kira mills about, she points at the fallen assassins.
Perhaps there is something they have that can give us some insight as to their origin or reason for their attack.
She then casts Detect Magic on each one to aid in the search.
GM V |
“One is the skull of an elven daimyo, Haraka Sorin. He died alongside Malash, he who was reborn as my veiled self. The skull now rests in the Haraka family shrine, in the Court of the Ancestral Sky in Ayajinbo. The other is a cradle that once held Malikeen, my most recent incarnation. It is on display in the village of Dallo, in western Wanshou.” He says. He continues, “They have watched me from afar for two lifetimes. Several times, I chased them away, but they always came back eventually, and hid better. Never until now have they sought my life. If you learn more of their motives on your quest, I would be keen to hear of it.”
Heccan Abraxi |
Heccan listens intently to the man describe his desires. He quirks a brow as he sees his fellow agents quickly pledge their aid to the recluse. Heccen waits, respectfully, until the samsuran finishes then bows his head, speaking in measured tones.
"Indeed, it shall be ur pleasure to assist you, honorable sir. An honor for us all as well as the Society whom we represent. I would be remiss, however, should I not inquire on matters which weigh upon me. The people sent here, I surmise to attack you, do you know who they are? Why they seek you harm? They put up a considerable struggle. Should we expect to encounter resistance? More importantly, who is working against you and why? Are there are any other hazards we should be ready to overcome? I only ask to best prepare ourselves to aid you, honorable one."
Heccan bos his head, eying the samsuran, his eyes betray a hint of mischief.
Variel Arivae |
Relics?! Interesting... Help, yea, sure, sure... The elf mumbles eager to study the artifacts and not really paying much attention in the rest of the exchange while trying to remember a book he once read about easter magic rituals.
Aramil Sionadel |
"So the objectives are a pair of highly prized and valuable relics that the locals most likely won't willingly part with. Got it. I mean, what could go wrong?" says the half elf with a smirk.
