We can take the charges from my wand...I just thought it would be more efficient to channel.

Grand Lodge

Could you please update your positions in the Map

That helps to deal with whatever happens once I resolve Markus opening the door.

Chanix - nice touch the caltrops !!

Priscilla is one step into the room from the main arrival corridor. Priscilla is still amazed she survived the fall. Her goddess had sent her a warning, but she had forgotten about it.

Grand Lodge

Please sort out healing resources one way or the other. I'm fine with the channel if you want to save on the wand.

Markus opens the door. The room beyond is inhabited. A table is turned over Picture 1

I guess a readied action for someone opening the door becomes suprise - unless they also have actions readied what to do once the door is open. So technically I did it as surprise. And yes - Chanix did hear the table turned over a few rounds ago when Priscilla dived into the pit.

Grand Lodge

Thanks Gregor - I just placed the 2 hobgoblins behind the table and the leader on top of the altar. Everyone else - initiative starts with Markus at the open door. Keep this in mind for distance as you can't 5-foot step to attack.
The hobgblins behind the table have their bows ready - so you can move next to them without provoking and the table gives cover both directions.
The Hobgoblin leader has a scythe in his hands - so no luck moving past him without provoking. And he has higher ground.

Markus bleeds and retrieves his wand again. He activates a charge and then hands the wand off to Grigo who takes it and runs back into the previous room.

Freshly Shielded, the hulking Varisian steps into the room.

Chanix draws both his rapier and a dagger. He watches keenly as Markus opens the door. Markus grunts and lurches back a bit. He then notices Grigo scamper past him with a wand and Markus steps further into the room.

Assuming the worst Chanix darts into the room past Markus taking a quick assessment of the surroundings.

The two hobgoblins move into flanking and attack Chanix - but Desna shines on him and they miss
Gregor rushes towards the altar (not table - but more stable !) This triggers the readied attack from the leader - waiting to attack the first enemy trying to hit him. But still handling his greasy scythe he is nowhere close to hit. Move initiative ahead of Gregor, action spend for round 1.
Gregor in return manages to overcome the defense of his enemy and lands a blow that nearly takes him out.
