I've seen worse luck.
Wolves, round 3
Dandy stands up, taking a set of jaws to the ankle.
His own legs were quicker than the wolf's jaws, and Dandy hits the wolf.
Tsschas moves up to stab the wolf with his spear. He comes close, but the hungry lupine dodges at the last moment.
"Grrr"
Mykel joins the slashing and stabbing, but the wolf refuses to be hit just yet.

Nithrandyl Eikrekkr |
i would move you on the map to flank, but i honestly have no clue which is you...
Chyrone |
After the fight, bear with me, i'm switching Dandy & Mykel's colors, as currently they'd mismatch clarification.
In these cases i'd use alphabetical order.
DAndy - OrAnge
MykeL - PurpLe

Lebrario's stone flies past Tsschas' ankle into the grass, and we head for the next round.

Wolves, round 4
Mykel flanks with Dandy to attack the wolf, but ends up skewering a hedgehog which popped up at that moment.

Nooooooooooooooo! I killed Sonic! Man my rolls are lame right now..i better see a bunch of 15+ soon...sheesh! Oh, I can change my profile pic if you want...i'm not attached to it too much...
Tsschas Blackfang |
Disgusted with himself, Tsschas once more tries to skewer the wolf.
Attack with Spear, attacking from prone. 1d20 + 4 - 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 - 4 = 171d8 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
After his attack, he attempts to scramble to his feet.
Tsschas Blackfang |
Thank you GM but I would have drawn an AOO for standing up.lol
The Dandy Hobo |
On mobile can't edit map.
Dandy steps back and tries to lash at the wolf's feet again.

Mekyl cuts down the wolf.
Combat over!
Nithrandyl Eikrekkr |
Nithrandyl offers a short prayer for the hedgehog cut down during the violence and then for the two wolves...
Mykel Therinor |
We should make haste...in case there are more of them. Aha, now I see what the problem is...the leather on my blade was a bit loose...that explains it.
Mykel makes a show of "adjusting" the wrapped leather on his blade...
All fixed now...
Chyrone |
Janira stands with a smirk of approval.
"Well done guys, well done. Though i like dogs, these lupine cousins are less friendly."
Once you've patched up the injured, she makes gesture to hit the road again. "Seeing the surroundings, i noticed several fallen trees and rocks. Those could considerably slow us down if we have to get past more of them."
Survival roll DC 15 here, to avoid being delayed by said obstacles.
Lebrario Hantwell |
Survival: 1d20 ⇒ 16
Lebrario takes a few minutes to think
I'm more used to streets and towns than fallen trees and rocks, but it's look like a puzzle. And I enjoy resolving puzzles and enigmas.. Let me see... Starting there..it's a jump to the left, and then a step to the right. With your hands on your hips, you bring your knees in tight..
Noticing that he speaks alone
What are you waiting for? Follow me.
Mykel Therinor |
Lead on, Lebrario...I trust your judgement.Mykel followed Lebrario's lead, hoping that his colleagues' trust wasn't lost with his dismal display of martial prowess.
Chyrone |
Some time later:
Janira: "Good work, it'd have been a fuss if we'd have to climb over that many trees and rocks."
-----------------------
The dense forest opens to a wide clearing at the base of a sheer cliff. Thick vines cover the surface of the cliff stretching 30 feet overhead.
"Here! The cave entrance is behind those vines," Janira says with a broad smile as she walks to the cliff’s face. She pulls back several layers of vegetation to reveal a narrow crack in the cliff’s surface. "This is where I saw the gillmen enter."
As she motions toward the aperture, the surrounding woods come alive with the sound of small animals fleeing some unseen danger and a large creature crashing through the undergrowth.
The halfling worriedly remarks, "Quick, take cover before whatever it is spots us!" As if she’d summoned the creature with her words, a massive horned monstrosity emerges from the trees.
Standing eight feet tall on a pair of cloven hooves and wielding a tremendous axe, the bull-headed creature roars with unbridled anger when it spots the group.
Janira screams, "A minotaur! There’s little chance we can stand against it!"
Let Janira distract it and flee into the caves, you get her pack <--- <_< ... >_> ---> Fight the minotaur.
Nithrandyl Eikrekkr |
is anyone hurt badly? Nithrandyl can cast CLW once per day if need be...let him know
Tsschas Blackfang |
Tsschas takes a moment to skin the wolves, inteet on having them as some form of prize.
Survival 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18
Joining the others in following Lebrario, he is visibly excited on seeing their newest foe..............
Nithrandyl Eikrekkr |
Nithrandyl moves towards the cave without question...
Chyrone |
Into the caves then..
Janira: "Take this bag,”, she pulls pull off her backpack, "and head deeper into the caves.
Finish your mission. I’ll lead it away from the caves, lose it in the forest, and join you as soon as I can. Now go! GO!"
She heaves her backpack into the cave, casts a spell, and darts off toward the minotaur before turning to lure it away.
You see the minotaur chasing after Janira through the trees, fighting its way through the dense undergrowth. Soon the cacophony of the chase fades and the sounds of the forest slowly return to normal.

You head into the dark tunnels, on to find the details of the mystery.
The narrow tunnel twists and turns for several hundred feet before slowly opening to a wider passage. A large hole spans the cave’s width and stretches ten feet down the path. At the bottom of the pit lies a small bundle of cloth. You notice half the hole's flooded with water.
20 feet deep hole, of which the lower 10 feet are water.
Tsschas Blackfang |
Lifting the pack, Tsschas hands out the items within to whoever wants the items.
Lebrario Hantwell |
Lebrario takes a look at the various alchemical flasks
Janira seems to be a woman full of ressources. Let's hope her plan don't backfire and she survive the minotaur. She looked like she knew what she was doing.
Nithrandyl Eikrekkr |
Nithrandyl will take the heal stick.
Mykel Therinor |
I would say two of the front liners take a potion of cure, Nithrandyl, maybe take the wand of burning hands as well...never know when that might come in handy. A lot of the stuff is scrolls...take them also Nithrandyl.....you're the oly one who can use them. I have an alchemist fire, maybe spread the other two amongst the rest.
I wonder what that bundle is? We should check it out..might be important.
Mykel takes his rope and ties one end around himself. He hands the other end to Tsschas. He also takes off his armor.
I'm going to head down and check it out. If you could anchor this end for me...I am not the best climber, but i think you guys can pull me up if there is an emergency.
Mykel heads down.
Tsschas Blackfang |
Tsschas braces himself as Mykel climbs down.
Chyrone |
You're not in immediate danger or distracted, np.
AC penalties ensue though, -2 from studded leather & buckler. Hence you'll be rolling to get to the cloth or the other side of the pit.
Mykel jumps into the water, but the team gets a slightly funny scene, as he's splashing around at first.
Let the team's swim rolls and acrobatics commence. :)
Tsschas Blackfang |
Tsschas hearing his companion's cries, tugs hard on the rope. His muscles tensing and begins to exert its own brand of force, hauling his companion up.

The Dandy Hobo |
"Her bravery will not go unremarked; but we still have a mission to perform.", Dandy following the others into the cave. Approaching the pathway, he sees the others working hard to swim across and prepare to aid others in that endeavor. Instead, he makes himself useful by easily leaping across to the other side with a sprint.
Taking 10 for a 19 Acrobatics more than enough to head across the 10' pit
Seeing Mykel struggle, he also moves to aid the party in pulling him out.

Once everybody's up safely, you continue your walk down the tunnel.
If only that were on the other end of the pit to start with.
The tunnels continue on, leading deeper beneath the Kortos Mounts until they eventually open into a large cavern. What must have once been beautifully carved reliefs and inscriptions have since weathered heavily, their features dulled and softened to the point that it is hard to distinguish what each once depicted.
A wide tunnel exits the cavern on its far side, and blue-burning torches line the passageway’s walls.
Only 4 carvings with inscriptions are somewhat legible.
Carving of the Artist, Carving of the Craftsman, Carving of the Fisherman & Carving of the Merchant.
You can each make 1 roll to identify its depiction or the writing thereof.
Either a DC 15 Kn. (History or Religion), or a DC 15 Appraise/Perception with a -2 penalty.
The writings require a DC 15 Linguistics, as it is written in Aquan and Azlanti. You get a +2 bonus for each of those two you know.
For every +3 you pass a check, you understand another of the 4 segments.
The Dandy Hobo |
"What ho! Such strange carvings...", Dandy being quiet as he tries to analyze and inspect them.
Perception @ Artist: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25
Woot! With that roll, I should understand 3 of them... I'll take the first three just for the sake of it.
