Game Master Beckett

I hope they offer all the character options that they allow for in the Pathfinder RPG main book line (CR, APG, UM and UC), but I'm also hoping that they put in feats from the Inner Sea World Guide. I have this amazing build that I spec'ed out and it's perfect for me. It involves some crazy multiclassing, though. 5 levels of Free Hand Fighter, 2 of Master of Many Styles (Monk), 10 of Duelist, and 3 of Urban Barbarian/Wilder Rager. Not all in that order, of course. But even if they don't, it should still be wicked fun. I can't wait to just start exploring.

Did you guys invest in the Goblinworks Kickstarter? I'm wicked excited for Pathfinder Online. I just paid out thirty bucks so I could become a part of the Goblin Squad and get all the latest updates and information. Honestly, I can't think of a better way to do a Pathfinder MMO than to put players in control of the River Kingdoms. This is going to be so sick-nasty when it comes out.

Oh, I found it. Skill-building system to earn abilities that build into character archetypes... Should be interesting. I feel like I'll probably get lost running around, trying to experience all aspects of the game until I find something I like.

I just found out about it today. It looks very interesting, but I just got involved with Warcraft :(. But they mention a free-to-play option, no doubt limited, so I'll check it out whenever they get it ready.

Sorry, I have had some trouble keeping up. What is everyone doing? I know Max is going to attempt to distract, but who is moving and to where?

Also, just a heads-up. I'm getting close to redeploying (going home). I may not be able to get online so much in the next 2 weeks, (not sure, but it is a possibility), and within 3-4 weeks, (for a short time) may not be able to get on at all. I would say, maybe 50/50, as I'm honestly not sure what to expect this time, but that is worst case. :) I would like to finish this before then, and I think we can do it, as it would really suck to get to the end and then get stuck for a while.

Hey Y'all.
When we started this Galdur was at level 1 & I had only ever run him in one scenario. Since then I ran some friends in another scenario. No problem I think as he is still level one. However, with the arrival of summer and a broken home-game schedule I have made it to the local PFS quite a few times. I leveled up to 2nd, and if I go next week, I will be level 3. How does that work for this scenario (assuming we finish it :)?
Do I complete the faction sheet as if I am level 3? Do I try and work it in at level 1? Do I just ignore it? Any thoughts?

Curaigh, honestly I do not know. I will take a look at the rules, and if need be email a mod. You are 1 adventure away from leveling? In PFS you level after you get 3 xp (normal xp track). So, you are at 8 xp now, right?

I am guessing that we may have to grandfather it in for you. Do you still have access to a DM that you player with as a level 2 character? If so, what we may be able to do is (when you finish this) say you got it at level 1, and push one of your other xps to the right one, which would now make you a level 3 character (well as soon as this adventure is over). And then when you fnish that other adventure, you will be level 3 with an additional xp towards level 4. I think doing it any other way might screw up the teir system for anyone else. Technically, you are not suppossed to play the same character in more than one game at a time, though I am not mad. And honestly, this might mess up your mx gp limit. I will see what I can find out, and feel free to ask other GM's, too. I am still fairly new at organized play myself.

I have sent out PM's to Apoc, Ausk, Barong, Curaigh, and Kobash, not the characters, so I'll just wait to hear back from you guys. Did I miss anyone?

I think pbp is done a little differently & if not no worries, it has been fun to play. Locally the group just started and it has been growing (three tables twice a week :)

I will ask on Wednesday (and run a different character) I am at 5 xp, expecting number 6 this week.

Spoke with our VL last night and he gave me a couple possibilities, though he is taking it upstairs to be sure. To keep things simple I played a pre-gen last night so I will not level up Galdur until this is done. However I would like to level up before PaizoCon.

Also I need to know what level everyone would like to play next (& IF you want to play). I will recruit after I confirm y'all :)

I only have 1st levels, though my main is 1 xp from level 2. So you are going to run something after this?

I sent out PM's to everyone (I'm pretty sure), but not much responce. I'm not sure what is going on here, but if it does turn out that we are unable to finish the game, you have all progressed far enough to get the XP and money for the adventure. Don't get me wrong, I would like to finish, but it seems like some people may not come back?

Well, basically I'm starting this encounter over, just to no be as confussing since it has been awile. Can I have a new Init and (for Max) Cha/Bluff check. Since everyone else is essentually going to wait on Max to try to distract while they sneak up, I'm going to say they are all basically Reordering their Init to right after yours.

So from everyonne else, a new Init (to see in what order you go in after Max), and also a new Stealth check.

I'm interested in the Character Switch, as I was new to Character Creation and I think I gimped my Character. However, I've grown attached to Aram. Would I have to make a completely new Character? I just want to decrease strenght for intelligence for more skill points and add a few more skills.

Have you seen the new player's guide? It lists the rules on change. Short answer is anything except name and number is fungible for a level 1 character. :)

On another note. I am willing to run the next one. If y'all want to continue with the same characters (level 1) I have two or three options (Frostfur Captives &... &...?). I can also purchase another tier one (season four looks like a lot of fun :) Or there are some 'complete this arc get a special boon' options if anyone is partly through one of those. I will open it up to six people, but you three get first dibs :)

On another other note. I am curious how the other chests open. Master Torch's chests are the 'non-combat encounter' example the writing guides point to. Beckett, if you would not mind sharing I would appreciate it. :)

Sure, I'll let you know. I have to look at the book. Hopefully tomorrow. I fudge a few things, (I tink one of the chests was one of them) simply because with the party make up, it would not have been possible. I've noticed this a few times in PFS play now, where it requires a certain class to suceed. :(

I am interested, and am also going to be starting up a new game, too, which you are all invited. I am hoping that it will have a little more party interaction and be a bit faster, but that's up to the players. I'l post a link when I get a chance.

Curaigh, you could always check the events calender, or post in the recruitment or Gamer Connection threads nearer the bottom of the messageboards. If you haven't tried, give it a few days (and bump it a few times) generally works very well.
