Heinrich and Clandelve's combined attacks are able to bring down the iron cobra without much trouble.

Looking around the room you find:
That the alchemical setup is worth 500 gp if carefully transported out of the dungeon.
Under the bed is a small chest containing his formula book, a bag filled with 154 gp, 55 sp, and 82 cp, and a single dose of unguent of timelessness.

Further more the human him self was carrying:
potions of cure moderate wounds (2), wand of acid arrow (12 charges), acid (2), alchemist's fire (2), smokestick, tangletoot bag; studded leather armor, arcanolembic (see chronicle); contains one of the potions of cure moderate wounds),mwk dagger, iron key.

When you go try to key on the door you found in the room with the animated pile you find out that it unlocks the door and as it opens you can see a staircase leading down to the next dungeon floor.

Heinrich sighs in relief.

"That was a close one... but we still got there in the end! Well done, lads! Let's head back to down for a few rounds at the inn, whilst we see if we can recruit a few more able-bodied Dwarves for the next level..."
