As you walk down the set of stairs you found you find that it leads further down into the dungeons of Thornkeep;
A series of stairs winds west and east down to the floor of this bare stone room. A short railing permits a view of the room from the staircase's landing. A scuffed circle of blue-white chalk marked on the floor of the northern section of the room is filled with various sigils and runes . Four-foot-tall torch holders adorn the corners of the room, and a wide, closed stone doors take up half of the western walls.
As soon as you enter the room a large unseen bell emits a single, deep toll
Floating silently in the center of this chamber is the flickering gray image of a metal helmet. It turns and tilts to examine its surroundings.

Clandelve examines the circle of sigils and runes in obvious disgust.
"Magic!" he exclaims, as if the word were a curse. "'As been th' cause o' more problems than 'elp, in me opinion," he adds.
As if to emphasize his point, the dwarf now holds a masterfully-crafted warhammer of pure adamantine. Earthshaker was the hammer's name, Clandelve had said.
Clandelve looks into the room for any sign of danger.

"I don't know, magic was kind of useful when we fought those memory-stealing wispy things..."
He then waits patiently for Cogstadt to do his thing, and inspect the double doors exiting the room.

"Harrumph! Indeed it was. I daresay without my transmutational expertise you Dwarves would scarcely remember how to tie your own boots." Archibald dismissively walks across the circle, unwilling to admit that he hasn't the foggiest idea what purpose it serves.

"An interesting piece of workmanship." Kalaron comments while still chomping on his ever present pipe which is now filled and he takes a contented puff.

Clandelve softens his tone as he remembers that Archibald is, indeed, a wizard.
"Well, 'tis true yer strengthenin' spell is somethin' good...'tis all th' mind control magic makes th' world a worse place ta live in!" he adds, still remembering his near-death experiences where he lost control of his faculties.
The dwarf moves out into the room to join Archibald and kicks at the chalk circle.

"Did I mention I can cast spell now?" Shayla asks, her hands resting on her hips as she strikes a proud pose.
Shayla points at the large constrictor snake that's been following her around ever since she entered the room. "And this is Akeyra! I found her in the room where we beat those constrictors. She's very friendly. Say hi to the dwarves and stinky wizard, Akeyra!"

Akeyra slowly moves her head in Archibald's direction and hisses. There's something about Archibald's human smell that intrigues the snake.
I should note Akeyra has the Scent ability.

"Elf magic now, ye say? Jus' perfect. I'm sure flowers explode out a' yer...ah, nevermind!
"A tough lookin' snake, ta be sure. I 'ope 'e knows which side ta squeeze!" Clandelve says.

Shayla stares at the helmet, and tries to figure out what it is.

Archibald bats at the constrictor irritably, leaping up with a start and skirting around the room in fright as the snake lashes out at him. "Gah! Keep your unsavory slithering well away from me you great slobbering serpent!"

Kalaron chuckles at the wizard's antics.
"Fine companion you got yourself there." tipping his pipe over to Shayla.
"So Helmet, I don't suppose you could tell us something?" He puffs out a gentle cloud of smoke.

Shayla takes her longbow and shoots a blunt arrow at the floating helmet, just to see if it reacts when touched.

If nothing happens she shrugs and asks "Let's bag it, if possible, and move south?"

Waiting for the arrow's effect, and seeing its result. Kalaron simply attempts to grab the helmet and stow it in his bag if he can't wear it.

As Shayla shoots an arrow at the helmet the arrow passes the floating translucent helmet without hitting it as it turns to the side. (Doesn't hit flatfooted AC)
In response the tiny helmet turns and rushes forward as if to bash Shalya in the gut.

"Well that was fast," Shayla comments, and pushes the double doors to the south open once Cogstadt's had a chance to inspect them for traps.

As you open the double set of doors (after getting the all clear from Cogstadt) you look into a corridor with one set of doors to the west and another at the south;
I already had to the room description for the west room typed out..so not wanting to waste the post I had already made I'm just going to assume your going for the first door you encounter and go from there..if you really wanted to check out the south door first....sorry
After examining and opening the next set of doors you encounter you look through the doorway and see;
Vibrant foliage creates impenetrable walls of shrubbery that encase the chamber and sprawl across its center, but ends sharply at the hallway as though cut away with a knife. Trees and shrubbery create a thick maze of jungle brush and undergrowth, and their canopy blocks out most of the bright light pouring from the open sky above.
To the north, a gap in the foliage leads into a dank, unlit stone cavern. To the west, an enormous kapok tree towers above the rest of the jungle terrain.
Shayla notices that part of the undergrowth isn't...the same as the rest around it. It is a separate entity and not a diseased portion of the plant it rests upon. What seems to be a mass of diseased fibers growing on a plant suddenly moves and slithers independently from its sickly host.

You are also able to spot a large snake with two heads, one at each end of its long, coiling body. Both display large sets of fangs further down the room
I'll assume you'd want to fight here..so rolling initiative if not..just close the door and move on.

"Be careful!" Shayla shouts. "There's a garden ooze in the middle of the room, and it looks like it's decomposing! The gases stink, but it gets worse if it builds them up!"
Shayla then notices the large two-headed snake, and starts screaming with the high-pitched voice of an overenthusiastic school girl. "Oh my gosh! Take out that ooze so Akeyra can fight the snake! It'll be awesome!"

Archibald hearing Shayla wanting to see a snake on snake combat decides to wait to see how this plays out.
The snakes moves forward, slithering up next to Clandelve intended to bite into dwarf flesh but receiving a warhammer to one of it's heads before it can sink it's fangs into Clandelve (doesn't confirm)
To bite Clandelve AC: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15
but it can't get around Clandelve's shield

Akeyra moves over to the two-headed snake, but is a bit slow. It takes Akeyra a double move to get to her opponent, ending her movement where the currently splattered ooze was.

Clandelve manages to hit the snake twice..and the same goes for Shalya as she sinks 2 arrows , one into each of the snakes heads.
Shayla's own snake then moves up next to the enemy snake.
Kalaron, back to using his dagger is a bit unbalanced by not having something with a larger counter weight and almost drops his dagger as he plunges it forward
Since I'm unsure when Archibald will be ready again, going to delay him for now
The snake (Just to give you the snake on snake action Shayla wanted ;) almost seems offended that there's another snake around and tries to bite his mortal enemy..once from above and once from below

Clandelve flashes a rare smile as he continues his assault.
"Tis nice ta fight somethin' real fer once! Nae wispy undead, nae mind-controllin' magical bugs, but real monsters!" he says, apparently counting two-headed snakes as 'real enough.'

Clandelve happy that he finally has something real to fight get's a bit to carried away and doesn't manage to connect hard enough to the two-headed snake to deal it any sort of harm. (both attacks miss AC)
Akeyra tries to sink her fans into the opposing snake and wind her body around it...but fails as he fangs don't manage to get a proper hold. (doens't hit AC)
Shalya manages to sink another 2 arrows into the enemy snake, dropping it to the floor.
Cogstadt then slowly walks up next to it and makes sure that it's never getting back up again by nailing one of it's heads to the floor with his rapier.

When you examine the room you notice a faint magical glow that seems to be coming from within the gigantic kapok tree.
