"Up it is" Taking his shield and sword he hits them together twice, to pump himself up for another part of the tower. "Let's clear another floor of our tower "Mosi goes up the stairs.

As you make it up to the top of the tower;
The four wings of the tower are completely open on this level, forming one great, cross-shaped chamber with arched ceilings. The decayed remnants of a carpet run from the doorways at the end of each wing, meeting in the center, where a spiral staircase drops out of sight below. A large, throne-like chair stands in the middle of the eastern wing next to a big chest.
The ceiling is 20 feet high in this room; it is dimly lit by the daylight shining through the archways.
Behind the throne is an albino crocodile and standing in the archway looking out is a troglodyte, on his side hangs a scimitar and he's wearing a cloak.

Fronar inspires everyone with an EPIC song about doing battles the right way
Daniloth fires an arrow at the crocodile that's still trying to make sense what's going on as a large group of people just show up and his arrow manages to find a spot between some scales and get's stuck in the crocodiles flesh.
Mosi charges forward but only manages to hit the floor
Seijiro tries to shoot an arrow into the cloak wearing troglodyte but unable to get around the throne for a good shot and firing in such a way that Mosi doesn't get an arrow in his back he fails to hit hard enough to get through the troglodyte's cloak covered through scales (doesn't hit flatfooted ac)
I think that you can just step on the throne counting it as difficult terrain, (it would be a acrobatics to jump to get on it)..it looks like you had enough movement to get there.Unless you are trying to jump on the backboard of the throne?..in which case you failed miserably and most likely dropped prone on/next of it
Vohnkar rushes forward and steps onto the throne and tries to use his higher ground to smash down on the troglodytes head..the back of the throne is a bit in the way but he's still very successful in hitting the troglodyte.
I don't think I've seen any post by Chima in a week now..so delaying him for now
The crocodile tries to bite Mosi
To hit AC Mosi: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23 to confirm: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
and manages to shut it's jaw around Mosi legs Damage Mosi: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10 and then tries to get a good grip Grab vs Mosi: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (19) + 9 = 28 (so Mosi is now grabbed by the crocodile ..if he isn't unconscious yet)
Balenar seeing how everyone is inspired already looks around and draws his rapier and moves forward.
"What would you like me to do? Try to rescue Mosi..attack the troglodyte....keep out of your way?"
The troglodyte takes a step backwards and starts to cast a spell, a blade made from flames appears in his hand.

Seijiro moves for a better angle and fires again at the troglodyte..but it's scales proof to be a better protection then Seijiro can overcome right now (doesn't hit AC)
Vohnkar is able to deal out more then the crocodile can handle, slicing it's head clean of and realizing the death grip it had on Mosi.
Daniloth moves forward and shoots his bow (switching targets to the trog since the croc is headless)
Markas moves closer and can hear the floor under his feet creak a lot and before he can start his attack at the troglodyte caster..you all can see cracks forming in the floor..part of the tower starts to tilt and everyone has trouble keeping their balance. Then a piece of stone breaks of and falls to the ground beneath you..followed by another and another bigger piece and pretty soon the entire east wing of the top floor is crumbling in on itself and falling out from under your feet...
(Reflex save DC 15 to jump to safety, since it's a tall tower and you're 60 ft up in the air right now this means you will take 6d6 falling damage if you hit the ground. The adventure allows a generous GM to let falling characters make additional Reflex saves to try catch themselves on the exposed floors of the lower levels
before plummeting all the way to the ground. ..so let's assume I'm a nice GM ;) so keep rolling reflex saves until you make one or your failed 4 of them)
This all happens before Fronar takes his turn
Reflex save Tasskar: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15
The troglodyte casters manages to jump to safety and run for a piece of the tower that's not collapsing...at the moment.

"That CAN'T be a good sign!"
reflex: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
reflex2: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18
Fronar stumbles as a section crumbles beneath him and almost falls, shifts his weight as the section splinters and holds for a split second longer, then manages to use the last bit of stability to jump to safety as the section falls 60' below them. Fronar's grin leaves his face for the 1st time since joining the party as he wonders, "Would I have hit the ground before that piece of the floor does?"
Revvy Bitterleaf |
Sorry, I just realized I wasn't entirely clear in my post (it seems my last edit with the list of names of people effected didn't save). Only the people on the east part of the tower (the part that's gone on the map) need to roll the reflex save..the rest is already on the part that's safe.
So people effected (and needing to roll reflex saves):
Vohnkar - save
Tasskar - made his save as well
Daniloth
Markas - save
Mosi
Just need reflex saves from Daniloth and Mosi before we continue
Mosi Ndiya |

K, since it's been over a day I'm going to assume that Mosi is going full defense for now (and that Chima got lost somewhere along the way..) to keep things moving forward
Balenar seeing the troglodyte jump in front of him wielding a blade made entirely made from flame suffers a panic attack and withdraws from the fight.
The troglodyte hisses and takes a step away from the edge.
He then goes into a flurry of attacks
Flameblade vs Markas touch AC: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
The flames bypassing the armor Markas is wearing and burning his flesh
Fire damage Markas: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8
The troglodyte then tries to claw Vohnkar
Claw vs Vohnkar AC: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (13) + 0 = 13
but he fails to slash hard enough to deal damage
He then opens it's jaws wide and tries to clamp them down on the side of Fronar's neck
To hit Fronar AC: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (15) + 0 = 15
But he doesn't seem to get enough force behind it to get through Fronar's armor.

I know you made your reflex (everyone did..which was a first for me..normally a few people start dropping down floors), but you also still had a "normal" round.
since you are not adjacent after the floor fell away you'd need to move to get close to the trog..I'll assume you keep your shield for now and swings your sword in one hand
Mosi moves into a position where he can take a swing at the troglodyte and even with the added distraction of Markas on the opposite side doesn't manage to get through the though scales on the troglodytes hide.

+1 attack, +1 damage to all for this and the next 2 rounds.
School enchantment (compulsion) [mind-affecting]; Level bard 1, sorcerer/wizard 2
Casting Time 1 standard action
Components V, S, M (tiny fruit tarts and a feather)
Range close (25 ft. + 5 ft./2 levels)
Target one creature; see text
Duration 1 round/level
Saving Throw Will negates; Spell Resistance yes
This spell afflicts the subject with uncontrollable laughter. It collapses into gales of manic laughter, falling prone. The subject can take no actions while laughing, but is not considered helpless. After the spell ends, it can act normally. On the creature's next turn, it may attempt a new saving throw to end the effect. This is a full round action that does not provoke attacks of opportunity. If this save is successful, the effect ends. If not, the creature continues laughing for the entire duration.
A creature with an Intelligence score of 2 or lower is not affected. A creature whose type is different from the caster's receives a +4 bonus on its saving throw, because humor doesn't “translate” well.
dc: 11 will negates

Daniloth fires an arrow into the thick of things but is unable to hit his target.
Seijiro moves up close and personal, but also fails to deal any damage to the troglodyte.
Vonhkar sets up an follow through attack for Markas
Fronar tries to get the troglodyte to see the humor of his hopeless situation
Will save: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24
but again..the humor does not translate well.
Markas swings his warhammer at the troglodyte and with the help from his friends he hits, for reasonable damage
Balenar seeing everyone inspired and not lying on the floor decides to pay close attention so he can write a song about it later.
The troglodyte isn't bothered by the fact that Mosi wants him to hit him instead of Markas ...Markas hurt him..and he's going to try return the favor.
To hit touch AC Markas: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
but it seems that a hammer blow to head has thrown of his balance
Claw vs Markas AC: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (1) + 0 = 1
Bite vs Markas AC: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (19) + 0 = 19

Np. sorry I missed it. I'm not sure who you're flanking with, but if you move below me, and ready... I can heal you, then walk around and provide flank for you. I will move us on map, but if you had something else in mind, re-arrange them as needed.
Fronar flicks his cure light wounds wand hand and taps Markas on the shoulder.
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Seeing Balenar is anxious to contribute, Fronar does not continue his performance, but his inspiration will continue for this and the next round (cause he's so good at inspiring).
Daniloth Winterglen |
Daniloth drops his bow and whips his short sword from out of its scabbard. Raising it high over his head, Daniloth brings it crashing down upon the troglodyte.

I pretty sure I have a flanking bonus (+2) and Fronar's bonus (+1). I have added those to my roll, but if I don't have them, then please take that into account.
Natural 20! I'm not sure if I calculated my critical hit the right way. I assume that all of my bonuses apply. If the don't, then adjust accordingly. My total damage, if I did this correctly, is 12.

Seijiro's attack fails to get between a soft spot in the troglodytes scales but
Markas attack together with Daniloth's attack is enough to have the troglodyte join his crocodile, caving in part of it's side and dropping him to to the floor.
Fronar with the help of Balenar then heals Markas (and anyone else that's hurt)
Out of combat
The troglodyte was carrying a masterwork scimitar and a cloak that after some examining turns out to the a cloak of resistance +1 as well as some keys.
The large wooden chest next to the throne contains: a masterwork short sword, 15 cold iron shurikens, two flasks of acid, a potion of cat’s grace, a potion of lesser restoration, a wand of summon monster I (CL 3rd, 9 charges), an amethyst worth 100 gp, and 247 gp in assorted coins.
