Reavis moves up and tries to drop a Frost bomb on the remaining Nagaji. "Hey little fella, I'm your target." He says mockingly to the enemy in Tien.

Using Precise Bombs discover to leave allies out of the splash.

Do the fallen have any normal arrows Kujo can use? Also, does the amulet allow an unarmed strike to avoid triggering an AoO?

19 normal arrows, but no the amulet does not give you any special skill with unarmed strikes.

There is nothing much of value here part from some recently made bundles of dried rabbit meat. You also notice five eggs hidden amid the clothes. You may roll a knowledge nature to identify them.

He recognises that these eggs represent an especially strong subspecies of serpent that might serve as powerful companions if properly reared and trained. Then again, there was also the writing on the stone pillars at the start of the path...

He moves towards Kujo and applies a hand in his back. Pierre then gathers the team to protect it and, just before entering the hall, he blesses Wayne's gun and inspires a moment of greatness for Kujo.

Casting a few spells: Extended Heroism (100 minutes) on Kujo ; Protection from Evil, communal (5 min) on everyone ; Bless Weapon (5 min) on Wayne ; Moment of greatness (5 min) on Kujo. Please don't forget your buffs ;)

Darn, and I was thinking about bringing my Ranger on this missions :D

Kujo does not touch or disturb the eggs, nor does Kujo disturb Henrik disturbing the eggs. When PIerre casts the spells, Kujo grins...greatsword in hand.

Kujo will gather up the bow and normal arrows and carry the spear for chuking. If no one else takes the amulet, Kujo will take that and put it on...but if Henrik wants it for his camel, Kujo gives it up without hesitation.

Having ultimately decided to take the eggs with you, you head on into the largest central room of the temple.

Choosing to explore this room last affects things a little, though not in any particularly disadvantageous way.

A polished, fifteen-foot-tall stone statue of a coiled snake sits atthe center of this room. A pair of topazes are set as its eyes, making it appear to glare at you as you enter.

Tanbaru looks perplexed and remarks, “Strange, I don’t remember that statue at all.”

DC 16 Craft (sculpture or stonemasonry) or Knowledge (engineering):
The statue is not part of the original construction, though the building material is the same.

DC 18 Knowledge (dungeoneering):
The creature depicted is a particularly large or wildly exaggerated dark naga.

DC 18 Knowledge (history or religion):
The statue does not depict any well-known historical or religious figure.

As you inspect the statue, a strong wind suddenly swirls up around the serpentine statue. Surrounded by fierce whirling winds, an athletic woman of living stone appears atop the head of the massive serpentine statue. The earth shudders just a little, and the temperature of the room seems to rise just a little.

In a booming telepathic voice, she declares, Aaah! After ten thousand years I'm free! Time to conquer Earth! For over a thousand years I’ve stood vigil over the procession that leads up to this temple. I was watching you while you walked the Pilgrim’s Path. Everything you faced along the way was a test of your abilities and your character. You have observed some of the traditions, but have flouted others. You have announced yourselves appropriately and recorded your names as in the guest book as required, and your rice offering was more than adequate. But you did not stay on the path as instructed, and you have tainted the serpents' eggs with your touch so that their mother will now shun them even if you place them back. Most of all you have endangered my temple with your reckless battle, throwing explosive concoctions, shooting your little arrows around and making a mess where you go."

"But the test is not over, I may yet be appeased, or you may yet face my wrath — answer now my questions and face my judgment!”

"“Who are you and why are you here?”

You should answer carefully. Choosing the wrong approach may anger Jiraku, and having more than one person attempt an answer may impede rather than help the situation.

She looks at you expectantly, awaiting your response.

As if to confirm Reavis' observation, the stone woman points to Reavis and her voice rings sharply and harshly in your minds, "why are you whispering over there!? No trickery! The question is straight-forward and should need little discussion if you intend to answer honestly!"

This demand is in-game, mind you. As written, she does not take kindly to suspicious actions, and whispering amongst yourselves about who to say you are would appear at least slightly suspicious. That said, out-of-character discussions are completely fair game, and I would in fact encourage it.

This temple predates the Pathfinder Society. Furthermore, remember that Amara Li only established the Lantern Lodge in Tian Xia a few years ago. Just saying "we are from the Pathfinder Society" will almost certainly get a response along the lines who "who or what is that"? Depending on how one views the reputation of the PFS, this may or may not be a good thing.

Catching his breath, he continues.

Realizing he went a little out of himself, Pierre softens his tone and face.

"Tanbaru has the appearance of an oni, but he isn't one of them. A follower of Iomedae would never in his most rightful mind associate himself with such a being. In fact, Tanbaru was a guardian in this place before most of it were taken away from the evil Hao Jin and when he resided into the tapestry, his living essence became tainted. When our society found him, we saw who he really was and allowed him to come back on this plane. Since then, he served the society. If you know his name, as you previously stated, you must also know his true identity: a holy guardian of Yamatsumi."
