Ok for me as well to give it back to Colson.
Papy Shayn |
erm... so?

We don't have any LE characters here, so best just to way in

Just wanted to double check something. Is Javon meaning that he wants to destroy the notes while still giving a full report to the Society on what they contained? If so, I think this would qualify as giving the notes to the Society since it would have the same outcome (ie, they are aware of the information). It's a can't have your cake and eat it too situation. Either the Society is given the information in the notes and I check that box, or they remain ignorant of the info because the notes are destroyed. Can't have it both ways.
Also, while I enjoy the concept that a familiar might have once been a Pathfinder of great renown... he does still have a 6 INT. He probably shouldn't come off so well spoken since that level of INT is described as "Dull-witted or slow, often misuses and mispronounces words".
Javon |
Yes, that's what Javon was suggesting, but I agree that's not really the spirit of the choices here. I'll put my vote for destroying the notes then.
And very fair point about Javon. I had intended to play him as a sharp mind but with trauma and lots of holes in his memory. The things he does remember are spot on, but it's not much at this point. So I shouldn't have him making logical arguments or intellectual choices. Probably more half-thoughts that end up nowhere or non-sequitur. Might be fun for him to forget the correct words too.
Cerin Felberry |
So, the majority is that we destroy it? This has gone on for a while and there has been no other arguments
BD's NPC |
With the decision made to destroy the information, Colson Maldris quickly builds a fire to burn the notes. "Thank you, my friends. I swear you will not regret your contribution to the cause of freedom this day!"
Once the business is done, Colson takes his leave and wishes you well. J. thanks you for Grishan as well. "I expect we will seek Colson out before long, but Grishan was not ready to face him. Not just yet. Thank you for not revealing him."
With nothing left to do here, you begin your final task of escorting J. back to her home.
If you've a mind to recruit J. to the Society and/or your faction for journal card achievements, now is the time!
Amun-Heth |
"J, you've shown a strong interest in the adventuring life," says Amun-Heth. "You're young, but you've proven yourself to be tough. Are you interested in joining the Pathfinder Society? I don't think I'm alone in my willingness to sponsor you for membership."
Grax, Son of Dray |
"Indeed, J. You show great promise. And you'll find many like you among the Pathfinders. They can help you and Grishan understand your bond and train you. The Grand Lodge has helped many Pathfinders find their footing after traumatic or unsettling events." He gestures to Javon. "In fact, the Lodge is trying to help Javon regain his memories and abilities. They hired me to assist and protect him."
The half-orc looks to the dark bird who is trying to peck at some spilled corn on the road. He sighs. "It can take time though."
Eugeni Zcona |
Eugeni sighs at his fellow's show of altruism. Turning to J., he somewhat forces a smile.
"I'm fairly certain the Society could have use for a combo like you and Grishan. It's up to you, though, and I won't be the one to force your hand."
Papy Shayn |
Papy shakes his head to signify clearly that he doesn't care, though Tog steps forward with the others:
"J and Grishan! Your united strength and knowledge would be most appreciated in the society. You clearly have what it takes, even beyond, what is required to join us, as Papy and I did." he says.
Diplo (aid): 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Cerin Felberry |
Cerin nods and stares at the flames as the paperwork burns, momentarily distracted as the parchment curls and smokes. Snapping out of it, the stranger gnome looks at J and shrugs, the puppet on his hand mimicking the move.
"Itisntoursecret to tell! Grish and you will comecleanwhen you need too. As for joining, I would suggest you think hard." Cerin begins, before tapping J. with the Puppet. "You have the heart and the Society can train the skill, but you need to be committed! You should also pick a focus, lost lore? Arcane power and artefacts? Or freedom?"
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (19) + 10 = 29
BD's NPC |
J. listens to your words and smiles. "It has long been a dream of mine to join the Society. It seems like the only way for Grishan and I to be truly useful. It's not fair to expect him to be a silent voyeur of my life while he waits for us both to be released from this mortal coil. We both deserve to be accepted for who we are and what we can contribute together. I expect my mother will be disappointed, but I can bring glory to our name much more effectively as a Pathfinder agent than trapped in the role of a noble lady. I think she will understand, given time."
The return trip is without incident and when you receive your pay, Dreng offers his personal thanks for your efforts. The Drownyard is no longer restless with fearful haunts and tormented spirits thanks to your good work. You also notice the purse is heavier than expected. It seems Colson Maldris sent some Liberty's Edge funds your way as a show of gratitude for your consideration.
That's all she wrote! Thanks to all of you for a fun and interesting game and my apologies again for the hold-up. I will be reporting and generating chronicles for you all shortly, congrats! ^_^

Great game and no worries again for the end! I really enjoyed playing at your table, once again ;)
