Zarta’s bedroom is decorated in the colors of Cheliax— ebon black and crimson red. Silk, rare woods, and carefully carved marble compose every bit of furniture in the room. Goose down now litters the room, covering almost every surface and the silken shreds of the cushions that contained it lie about like flayed skin . A post on the massive screened bed is snapped in half, collapsed on the bed and drawing the screened curtains into a ripped slope of formerly fine cloth. Vials of perfume and crystal jars of other cosmetics sit smashed on the marble floor around the dresser. A prominent fixture in the room, a large “X” made of stout wood sits along the west wall, complete with leather shackles and chains. A table sits to its left strewn with various items intended for pleasure, but outwardly resembling implements of pain.

A clearly enraged and totally out of control imp occupies the room. The creature desperately wants inside the box it continually throws around the room hoping to smash the thing open. Though dented, the case doesn’t look like it will be opening anytime soon.

'Fresh?' I must be old enough to be your great grandfather, young miss. The elf creases a brow at the paracountess' choice of words to describe himself.

Cavorting with Chelaxian tyrants... fabulous. On mentioning her ties with devilkind, the ranger bites his lip, keeping his sarcastic commentary to himself. He simply nods an affirmative to her.

...

Bregolas will form a wrinkle by his 200th birthday at the rate he creases his brow. Seeing the imp wracking about the room, he asks the creature, "And what is it, pray tell, that you desire from within this battered box?"

"What an odd place to keep prisoners. Krux would put them in basement."

He examines the various tools displayed and holds up a small leather whip.

"Is this for small folk? It's very puny..."

The purpose of this bedroom perplexes him greatly.

The imp slams the box down on the floor and stomps on it several times. He seems to pay the party no notice whatsoever.

When Krux reveals his confusion about the room's true purpose, Bregolas opens his mouth to correct the big man. But he hesitates before speaking a syllable, and decides to simply say, "Fahd will explain it to you later."

...

When the imp disappears, he keeps his keen senses alert to the sound of its wings flapping or the sight of its invisible body ever slightly warping the light around it. He slowly approaches the cosmetics, looking all around in a wary defensive stance as he moves.

To Fahd, he nods towards the cosmetics. "That powder may help. Someone get the door."

Bregolas picks up any kind of powdered makeup he can find, if any, and, on spotting or hearing where the imp is, he tosses the powder at it in the hopes of coating the creature and enabling all to see it.

Try to see or hear the imp to pinpoint its location (+2 vs invisible creatures):

Bregolas tosses a handful of powder in the imp's general direction; as it settles it covers the form of a coughing imp clutching a box. The box pops out of its hands when it meets the business end of Krux's sword. "Fine, I surrender! Don't kill me!" it shouts.

The imp submits to the punishment he has coming via the Paracountess and follows willingly leaves the room with the party. "Thank you morsels. I'll take care of this one. You may see yourselves out."

As you head back toward the Lodge a throng of people block the streets ahead. A performance art group commandeers the street, drawing graffiti to create a jolly hellscape complete with illusory devils comically dancing around in circles. A few citizens avoiding the crowd slip off-street through a nearby alley, the only egress past the gathering.

You follow the crowd toward the shortcut until you reach an alleyway obscured by a hazy fog. As the common citizens flee you are left facing the very people who have been following you all day.

"Please allow us to relieve you of the burden of your possessions!" A voice calls from the other side of the fog.

Good call. The mist is still active but, since most of you are in it, I moved it off the map. So Hallie's attack on Bregolas 1d100 ⇒ 99 still hits...and here is the info on the mist:

The vapor obscures all sight, including darkvision, beyond 5 feet. A creature 5 feet away has concealment (attacks have a 20% miss chance). Creatures farther away have total concealment (50% miss chance, and the attacker cannot use sight to locate the target).
