Easily fighting off the machine's fascinating effects, Kynn employs his magic rocking the construct with the blow. Fearmonger has taken 5 points of damage.

The machine swings both arms at Tetchy, slamming him with both metal fists! Tetchy is forced down by the strength of the blows, taking a large amount of damage. Tetchy takes 14 points of damage from the two slams. If he is still conscious, he must make a will save.

Braugher moves in after seeing Kalista attempt to roast the metal man with her gouts of flame. He lashes out at the creature with his claw, testing the water, so to speak.

Kynn races into the room, gaining a clearer shot on the monstrosity; unleashing his own elemental fury while making sure to stay clear of Kalista's.

Male Human GM 3 (PFS# 8548)

While Tetchy manages to hold on to his life, something grips his gut and he finds himself unable to act as he is gripped by an unreasonable fear. Tetchy can take no action this round. Roll a Will save vs fear.

As Tetchy cowers away from the creature, Emmett sees his chance and throws the hammer, just catching the mechanical monster and damaging it. This one doesn't seem to be hardened against attacks like the previous ones the group has encountered;as chips of ceramic fly away! Fearmonger takes 4 points of damage from the hammer.

Kynn and Kalista fly into action, washing the creature in lightning and fire. It tries to avoid the fire, but is unable to do so with so many attacks buffeting it about. Both the fire and the electricity have a great effect on the machine, melting glass and frying circuits. Fearmonger takes 10 total points of damage from the attacks.

Braugher jumps into action, harnessing the power of the dragon to slash the monster apart. His claw rips into the thing and finds purchase as it rips away a bit of armor. Fearmonger takes 5 points of damage from the claw attack. A total of 19 points of damage has been done to the Fearmonger.

Shechera and Meleren advance up the stairs and finally glimpse the combat that has ensued. Upon sight of the Fearmonger's faceplate, both of the bandits become fascinated and stand almost motionless as the sway to the creatures movements.

Fascinated:
A fascinated creature is entranced by a supernatural or spell effect. The creature stands or sits quietly, taking no actions other than to pay attention to the fascinating effect, for as long as the effect lasts. It takes a –4 penalty on skill checks made as reactions, such as Perception checks. Any potential threat, such as a hostile creature approaching, allows the fascinated creature a new saving throw against the fascinating effect. Any obvious threat, such as someone drawing a weapon, casting a spell, or aiming a ranged weapon at the fascinated creature, automatically breaks the effect. A fascinated creature's ally may shake it free of the spell as a standard action.

Male Human GM 3 (PFS# 8548)

Racing up the stairs, Istralanix makes it ten feet into the room when he spies the patterns coursing across the faceplate of the newest threat! Even as he lifts his bow to fire, his own thoughts elude him as he becomes fascinated in the lights and swirls.

The machine moves systematically to the next target, Braugher. Both of its side appendages swing towards the monk. Managing to avoid one blow, Braugher is still rocked by the single hit that connects. Braugher takes 7 points of damage and must make a will save.

Need a will save from Tetchy for the previous round.

Out of her blasts, Kalista weaves her hands together forming electric sparks between her fingers. With a quick step forward and a prayer for luck, she reaches out to touch the machine with her hands.
"Please work, please work, please work!"

Unaccustomed to getting in close, she doesn't even near the machine. Realizing the predicament she put herself, the only word she can manage now is a shrill "Eep!"

Male Human GM 3 (PFS# 8548)

The team works around the ceramic and glass monster; Kalista's touch finding only air, but she continues to feel the charge of her magic. Braugher steels himself and attacks with his natural attacks, but only able to connect once. Fearmonger has taken 25 total points of damage.

Tetchy breaks through his fear and finds the nerve to act; what is it about these strange machines? Save is at end of turn, so you can take normal actions next round.

Istralanix, Meleren, and Shechera watch on in complete fascination with the display on the creatures faceplate.

Hoping that this will last not much longer, Kynn maintains his distance, but stays in the fight; electricity once again snapping between his fingers before arcing out to the metal figure.

Managing to side step the devastating electric bolt and the rapier attacks, the machine focuses its attacks on the next target; Emmett having presented himself in Braugher's stead has incurred the wrath.

The creature pounds Emmett to the floor and his body slumps into unconsciousness. Emmett takes 12 points of damage.

As Emmett goes down, Tetchy comes up with his big sword and a powerful swing that knocks more than a few chips of ceramic off of the creature! Fear monger has taken a total of 32 points of damage.

Seeing Emmett go down inspires Kalista to reach out with her charged hand and grasp the metallic limbs of the creation and surges all of her arcane power into the thing.

Seeing Emmet go down, Kynn knows that they have to end this soon. Chagrined about missing earlier, he takes more careful aim as his last spat of electricity enters the fray, shifting around to get a better shot at its back after dropping Emmett.
Ranged touch: 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 4 + 2 = 23 Flanking now, though I doubt it matters.
Damage Electricity: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7


Male Human GM 3 (PFS# 8548)

As Braugher smashes into the construct, electricity from both Kalista and Kynn course through it. With a final wheeze, the images on the screen stop and the machine slumps to the floor as so much uselss junk. The fascinated people snap out of it and are shocked to see the situation.

The group has time to breath and heal before proceeding. Exiting this room via the twenty foot arch, they quickly move out of range of the electro dart trap. Meleren points out the treasure chest with the borken chain links saying, "That's where we got the little badge."

No more issues present as the group exits the redoubt. Shechera and Meleren thank the companions for getting them out of the hellish place and then quickly head off on thier own.

When you report back to the Grand Lodge, Ambrus Valsin is stunned into silence by your report, then heaps simultaneous praise and disapproval on you—he commends you for surviving a much tougher test than intended, but criticizes you for not immediately leaving and reporting in upon discovering the security sublevel. In the end, though, both the deed and discovery stand out, and local Pathfinders—many of whom begin in-depth investigation and cataloging of the hidden complex— regard the companions with high esteem.
