Vordrek |
Remembering that the creatures have no particular weaknesses, Vordrek points a finger at one of the creatures. Did not anticipate this type of terrain. Underwater and facing undead adversaries, his most potent spells are either useless or near enough.

Fire: Nonmagical fire (including alchemist's fire) does not burn underwater. Spells or spell-like effects with the fire descriptor are ineffective underwater unless the caster makes a caster level check (DC 20 + spell level). If the check succeeds, the spell creates a bubble of steam instead of its usual fiery effect, but otherwise the spell works as described. A supernatural fire effect is ineffective underwater unless its description states otherwise. The surface of a body of water blocks line of effect for any fire spell. If the caster has made the caster level check to make the fire spell usable underwater, the surface still blocks the spell's line of effect.

Oloch: Vordrek has informed you that they're ghouls. They don't have any DR and they aren't resistant to slash/pierce damage like other undead. You're greatsword would be very effective against them.
Will Save vs. Celie: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
Celie continues to cackle with glee as she casts, although it's difficult to hear underwater. Oloch shoves off to land a few feet behind and takes a defensive posture while Vordrek fires a magic bolt over the half-orc's shoulder, hitting one of the creatures. Seeing that he's alone, Jager swims to safety behind him.

The ghouls grab at Jager's ankles, trying to pull him back into the room, but none are able to grab him. Once safe, Jager turns and fires, blowing away the skull of the creature in the doorway. The others quickly shove the floating corpse aside and fill the void, clawing and biting at Oloch.

Not wanting to use all his offensive power at one time, Vordrek calls to his god and reaches out to Jager. A portion of divine energy flows from one tiefling to another.
Using Battle Rage. Jager, you get +1 on melee damage rolls (if any) for this round.
Jager Swifteye |
Jager draws his wand handing it to Oloch. Jestering to himself.
He will then hand Celie the next scroll of air bubble and keep searching the ship.
We are all under water which makes talking hard just saying.
GM Hawkeye |
With the threat dealt with, you swim across the swim to the next room and pull open the door. Cold and murky water fills most of this lightless room; the last few steps of the stair leading above deck lie underwater. This room, like the crew’s quarters above it, is bare. Eight hammocks hang from the ceiling, dangling just above the cold water. The submerged end deepens steadily at 2-1/2 feet every 5 feet.
GM Hawkeye |
The party swims through the hole in the floor into the next room when suddenly the water just seems to...stop. You exit the water and find yourselves falling the last few feet to the floor. Standing up, you find that this room's water is gone, held back by some kind of magic most likely. Three sunrods lie in various corners of the room, filling it with a pale yellow glow, to reveal skeletons of long-dead sailors littering the floor. Across the barnacle-encrusted room, you see a man fumbling with a chest while an incorporeal humanoid silently stands over him. He seems to indulged in the chest to have noticed you yet.
