Detect Magic and look over the room.

Scarab Sages

Shat holds an anvil over his head in case the others show up soon.
Iranar moves over to pick up the key and unlock the door to let the prisoner out while Traber casts detect magic.

Detect magic:
Since you only get the 1 round now all you get is the presence of absence of magical aura's; Yes there's magic present within 60ft of you (it's in a cone, but I think you can just look around)

1st Round: Presence or absence of magical auras.

2nd Round: Number of different magical auras and the power of the most potent aura.

3rd Round: The strength and location of each aura. If the items or creatures bearing the auras are in line of sight, you can make Knowledge (arcana) skill checks to determine the school of magic involved in each. (Make one check per aura: DC 15 + spell level, or 15 + 1/2 caster level for a nonspell effect.) If the aura emanates from a magic item, you can attempt to identify its properties (see Spellcraft).

As the prisoner is released he is very grateful to be freed and clings to Iranar.

"Thank you so much for freeing me. It's good to see a fellow of the faith Iranar is as far as I know still wearing the disguise, right? Can we get out of here now?! Do you have a weapon I can borrow in case we get attacked?"

Raoul, Jothas and Julian can still do one round of action(s) if they want (I'll give Jothas an action if he's the last to act and he isn't back to post himself) otherwise I'm moving on in about 12 hours

Actually all though I do consider myself a fairly nice GM ;) , it's actually in the tactics. She wants you (or rather the most holy looking PC - which I take is you if you are still wearing the disguise from the ambush) alive so she can sacrifice you on the altar later

@Raoul, yeah immune to fire, electricity and poison. Resist 10 to acid and cold and SR

Raoul stows his scroll and casts see invisibility on himself

Traber casts protection from evil at Jothas as the party moves down the corridor towing Iranar with them
@ Traber, just to check..every protection from evil you've cast this adventure has been from a wand right? Just pointing it out since you spend 6 rounds waiting after the fight with the undead and the wand has a caster lvl of 1..which is 10 rounds. Which would mean that the protection vs evil spells you have listed as being on Shat and yourself are gone by now. Also the shield of faith; I think you had cast that outside in the fight with the winged creature..which also means that you are running low on rounds for that one as well

Since pretty much everyone said they'd move back to the other room, but nobody actually moved I've moved you all into the doorway, in somewhat random order (Julian in front) feel free to position yourself in a different order if you want and Jothas and Shat can move a bit further if they want since they still have an standard action left to convert to a move

Shat throws an axe right in the creatures face, but where Shat would expect the creatures face to explode..or at least be split down the middle there is only a small cut visible. The slime on the creatures hide is eating away at the axe's metal 1d8 ⇒ 8 corroding it's metal and leaving it damaged on the floor (it's broken)

Attacking the Succubus
Just reread the damage chart table. I've been increasing the bite all wrong.

1d20 + 13 ⇒ (16) + 13 = 291d8 + 10 ⇒ (4) + 10 = 14
1d20 + 13 ⇒ (17) + 13 = 301d8 + 10 ⇒ (8) + 10 = 18
1d20 + 13 ⇒ (15) + 13 = 282d6 + 10 ⇒ (6, 4) + 10 = 20

Seeing the damage done to the axe, Jothas will pull out his rapier rather than risking his nice whip which he drops to the floor.

BTW you don't get a free pass on damaging an item, you do have to get past the hardness. An axe blade is made of metal(steel) and you need to get past the hardness of 10

to hit: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17 damage: 1d6 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10 miss most likely

Scarab Sages

I went with one handed hafted weapon or projectile weapon, hardness 5, rolled an 8 and bypassed the hardness..this might have been wrong for a thrown axe..but I can't find a list with what weapon is what category so I went with my best guess.

Also before everyone get's carried away with doing attacks,...it's the enemies turn..I suspended actions for my post in the discussion part. You can keep your actions/rolls ..i'll just have to put the enemies actions in between

Yeah, fair enough officially axes are 5 since they have wood parts. I just want to be clear that I don't automatically lose my rapier if I attack. I had a GM who usually knows better insist that my adamantine weapon was getting hurt by babau acid in one module and I'm touchy on that.

Oh and two claws hit so she is subject to bleed: 2d6 ⇒ (1, 4) = 5

Scarab Sages

What would happen if you keep fighting
Enemies turn:

The succubus asks for help dealing with Julian in abysal

The babau will cast darkness and then move into flank with Julian
then the succubus herself will fly 5ft step forward and attack Julian

To hit touch AC Julian: 1d20 + 11 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 11 + 2 = 18
To hit touch AC Julian: 1d20 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 6 + 2 = 17
To hit AC Julian: 1d20 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 6 + 2 = 19

So 3 hits I think (I think your AC is +3 armor, +2 protection from evil, +2 Natural AC -1 from large,-2 + no dex from being in the darkness = 14)
Fire damage Julian: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10
Fire damage Julian: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11
Claw damage Julian: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5

Then Jothas moves forward (or I think he would take out his oil of bless weapon and apply it now instead) and fails to hit the babau and Julian tears into the succubus Miss chance, low is miss: 3d100 ⇒ (91, 88, 61) = 240

Damage succubus: 22 + 5 bleed

And Iranar drools one more round (4 to go)

(Fatiqued?)Shat, Raoul and Traber would be up
