I think that they now have updated for pathfinder.

@GM : how the zombies could have +5 to their damages ? A PFRPG Zombie has only +4 to attack and +4 to damages. It could be very important as with a 14 they doesn't hit Jaïr.
What provoke the AoO for Jaïr ? a 5ft. step doesn't provoked nor the use of a wand.
GM Deussu |
Slight spoiler, but Haldyr was carrying a mask on his person that emanates the effects desecrate, which gives the additional +1 to attack and damage. :/ Trust me, I was hoping the effect would die after Haldyr went down, but it's the magic item that radiates the effect. It's not outright noticable, and cannot be dispelled just like that.
Though you are correct... The use of a wand does not provoke. Somehow, again, I was comparing it to casting a spell. I've had the discussion about wands not provoking in the past, but just didn't remember that in the fray. I apologize, I retcon the bits. Nevertheless, that would mean that Sagart gets healing and Jaïr gets all the attacks.

How thanks wrigsolar! sometime i am more prepared then i think.
Edit:I even had two flasks ofholy and three of acid! it is my first time as a bard. I was more thinking to use aid another, but it seem that my habit to have the equipement chapter in my character doesn't change.

I'm in training at work most of today, and I'm making an offer on a house so I will not be able to post properly probably until Saturday Sunday. Gming a game of PFS on Sat.
GM Deussu |
1 ghoul and 4 zombies is a really tough fight, even without the desecrate effect, which I'm sure many GMs have missed entirely.
A quick comparison between 3.5 zombie and PFRPG zombie.
hp: 16 or 12
AC: 11 or 12
Attack bonus: +2 or +4
Damage: 1d6+1 or 1d6+4
3.5: Str 12, Dex 8, Con Ø, Int Ø, Wis 10, Cha 1
PFRPG: Str 17, Dex 10, Con —, Int —, Wis 10, Cha 10
The zombies were meant to have a touch attack with a bonus of +2 and deal 1d6 cold damage, but that would be very contradictory with its stats otherwise. I'm unsure whether or not I should have included the modifications although the base has been changed.

The last time I GM it, I made the Zombies made their touch attack but it was in tier 4-5 (and I forgot the desecrate effect which add +1 to attack&damages and +1HP/HD). Nevertheless the fight was tough for my players !

I didn't make them have the extra hit points, because it hasn't been stated whether the corpses were raised under the influence of the desecrate effects.

Jair, when you were using a wand, was that one your own or the one I lent you earlier? I don't have an issue if you did use mine, I just want to make sure I mark it down.
Wrigsolar |
that's fine. I'd rather use a few charges than die!
Also, I believe I have the highest Diplomacy bonus, so do we mind if Wrigsolar D. Fencejumper, Esq takes the lead in these negotations?

Feedback time?
First and foremost I apologize for the warehouse scene, which dragged way too long. I was reluctant to initiate a fight since it has repercussions (watch arriving 1d6+1 after the combat, after which it's entirely up to the GM how it ends...) Maybe I hoping for a clever ploy to come up, but given how suspicious the Ulfen men were that would have required a truly devious plan.
Other than that, well, there were other times I should've advanced and not wait for a few absent players. This was a learning experience for me as well, and I now know to keep up the pace regardless of circumstances, even moving the bits and pieces by force if need be.
GM Deussu |
Sagart, your character is shown to be as Classic in the reporting tool. I can't report the game unless all characters are marked as Core, and since Paizo's reporting tool is teh s!~!s you can't make this modification after character creation, thus requiring you to recreate the character (I know, superduper dumb).
If even one of the characters is marked as Classic, it will revert everyone's characters as Classic. I maybe once made this mistake, and due to some incomprehensible technical thingamajig Paizo can't reverse this (or they refuse to, since these requests are coming in all the time, meaning a lot of manual work).
Sagart Laoch |
I'll see what I can do, but it may not be until the weekend before I can fix it... Sorry to all for any inconvenience this may cause.

Sagart Laoch |
I assume this will entail a recreation and registration (the correct way). Not a problem, just thinking "out loud."
Update
I have created a new Core shell for Sagart at PFS# # 174784-8

The problem was that we didn't really know what to do to obtain the lantern. I am not the devious kind. We didn't really plan something. And because they were now two groups, It became much difficult to control.
Wrigsolar |
Does anyone have a background that they particularly want to share? I've taken to writing down the character's name and hometown, just in case I ever play with someone else from the same city, and can be like "Ah, yes, I once fought alongside a Cleric of Irori from there, have you ever met?" I know Sagart is from the Five Kings Mountains.
and for the record,
Wrigsolar Daedelus Fencejumper, Esq.
Brastlewark, Cheliax.
Edit: Also, any chance that you'd be willing to add "Negotiated marriage contract for Natayla" or something similar on my chronicle sheet, Deussu?
Jair Whisper |
Jaïr is from Westcrown (Cheliax), she's fascinated by ancient treaties and secret knowledge.
She was intrigued by Delvehaven, a lost lodge of the Society in her hometown and decided you join it, to know more about the Pathfinder and the secrets and knowledges they hold.
Wrigsolar |
And for the record, Wrigsolar's grandmother was a powerful conjurer and briefly sojourned to the Elemental Plane of Air when she was pregnant with Wrigsolar's mom, and that is how Wrigley got his bloodline. His father's side are experts, and Wrig never intended to be an adventurer. However, as a lawyer, he angered the Cheliaxian government. He absconded to Absalom and started another law firm (with my other Core characters). He's hoping to use the funds from adventuring to bribe his way back to Cheliax, and/or have his law firm become the in-house counsel for the Pathfinder Society.
