Sounds like oracles are fun. Might make one myself in the coming month

The more unconventional but working, the better, imo.
I'd think with them, maybe a bit more than other classes, can their personality truly shine. They are forced upon a mystery they are discovering, be it from good or bad.
Tapestry for example, my CG insane oracle has the dark tapestry mystery. None of those outer things have G as alignment, CN at best. The powers revolve around void and insanity......this sort of thing gives excellent hook for a personality.

Im thinking of making a sylph oracle. Planar oracle. ADD because of literally being an airhead

Thanks, though their pace seems slow.
So they have to get off a boat before meeting some very pissed off & vengeful witch.
These things happen when you're a bad guy, hahaha.

The sylph looks fine, but I've got a few questions:
Mystery: I assume Wind, but it's not written anywhere (wait--found it. I am not a fan of the stat block for PCs. At all.).
Bane: I don't see this spell used much. Is it the one you want? If you don't plan on pumping your save DC, you might find more use with Obscuring Mist or Protection from Evil.
Ranged Weapon: You have the dexterity, I'd recommend picking up something. A light crossbow or a couple javelins will come in useful.
Air Affinity: Since you're not using this racial trait, you might want to replace it with Storm in the Blood or Breeze-Kissed. Air Insight would work if you plan to do a lot of summoning.
Nice trait choices, by the way!
Malleck |
okay, will look. what about feat? i think it fits with her concept
Will take LCB for ranged
Obscuring mist will be next option then :P
im learning to build this class :P
Im thinking breeze kissed. with air barrier i will have a 20AC vs ranged

Hey guys, as we near the end of this scenario, as everyone here has proven an ability to post regularly and such, I wanted to know if there was any interest in playing another scenario? Either convince Curaigh to run something, or I'm interested in running something, possibly Mists of Mwangi.
Mwangi could run pretty fast actually, and I think is a good one for me to try getting my feet wet with GMing in a PbB environment.

I absolutely agree: it's always the gnome's fault.
And I'd certainly be up for another game! :)

We are almost done :)
Branson if you need your chronicle to start the other one I can have it for you as early as tomorrow. I am away from computer today but will post response to that excellent interrogation when I get back to something with a USB.
I have found 3 PbP as GM is too much for me. I am going to run Destiny of Sands 2 for another group which might have some spots open. That said I ran this one because the S&S of Utopia failed. I will run something after a break, so I am up for playing if someone is willing to run. :)
Dylara Yssal |
I wouldn't mind playing Veteran's Vault, but I should inform you I ran it as GM. Though I'm able to separate player knowledge and character knowledge.
However, Lizzy was in my game. So she can't play Veteran's Vault again for credit.
I don't have a specialized healer character, but I do have characters who own a wand of CLW. (Something I believe every character in a party should get asap after creation.)
Dylara Yssal |
I don't want to steal players from Branson, but for those of you who are looking for more than 1 scenario to play in and for Branson himself: I'm starting both parts of Shadow's Last Stand pretty soon.
Recruitment is currently through invite only, and you can post in this discussion thread with the character you want to play, if you're interested.
There are currently 2 players who signed up for the scenarios, one of which is Lizzy. So it's possible for all of you to also join :)
Branson Davelock |
I'd need to get my cert for this one and possibly make a purchase or two, you know how it is.
Let me know if I'm in, and I'll stop worrying about that other game I was considering playing in.
Dylara Yssal |
Yup, subtier 1-2 for both parts.
Still felt like I should mention I ran Veteran's Vault once. Would love to play it, but if you only run 1 scenario it may be more fun for Lizzy if she can also join?
Branson Davelock |
Does Lizzy have multiple toons? What is she playing in your game?
Lizzy?
Veteran's Vault?
I'll run something else cold if you guys want, or I've played others as well.
Malleck? GM? Traceni?
Malleck |
Malleck is fine. But if you run it in 2 weeks.. I will have a new toon available :)
Venture Teller Play b'Post |
I have not done Veteran's Vault and have a 4/5th level cleric and a 5/4th level wizard (I cannae remember which one is where :), yes you can count me in.
I have played & GMed the Shadow's Last stand 1 and played 2. I dinnae currently have a level 1. I will have to avoid that one.
Dylara Yssal |
I have a level 3 character and several level 1 characters ready. 1 level 2 character, but I'm not using her until the advanced class guide is officially released: she's a bloodrager, and I'm still allowed to retrain her as long as I haven't played with her on level 2. I'm waiting to see if the definite version of the advanced class guide will change anything about her.
Traceni Skrit |
Not available. I have a 3rd level who has been dungeon delving with a crew of dwarves for a while. Lots of fun. But he's not available.
Malleck |
Ive done VV...with other character. Also I think I GMd it. Ill check today.

4/5 th and 5/4th?
I thought both were one XP from fifth level, (one just passed and the other right before) but I couldn't remember which one is which. I was also expecting to play one last night (played Aikio). As it turns out Aiko (fire-wizard) and Seaweed (Gozreh cleric) are both level 4 and one XP away from fifth.
Dylara Yssal |
I already played Glass River Rescue, but I'd like to play Wardstone Patrol.
Though I think Beads played both of those. (He's running all season 5 scenarios with 1 character.)
I'd really love to play Pallid Plague, or Before the Dawn part 2. What about Devil We Know parts 1-4, or is that a bit too much?
Branson Davelock |
My real plan is to try GMing a scenario via PBP and see how I like that side of the screen in this medium, and then possibly do a full AP. Signing on for 4 scenarios might be a bit much to start.
It's another Season 5, but Hell Knight's Feast is a great RP scenario.
I played 5-1, 5-2, and 5-3 at Gencon last year.
I'll play a bunch of things at Gencon this year, and could run some when I return.
Venture Teller Play b'Post |
By running it cold do you mean running it without having played it? One nice thing about PbP is the lack of running it cold. Since one post a day can make intros last a week, you only have to read a little ahead. My season 5 isn't very deep, so I can play almost all of them, same with season 4.

Ward stine I havnt done at all :)
