With a hail of attacks, the furry of vengeance for their fallen companion emboldens the party to strike down the vile troglodyte.
Bah'ah dances and sings the song of his people
Ding! Dong! The Witch is dead!
That being the evil stinky witch and not the nice bunny loving one
It is easier to sing in the original Draconic
The large wooden chest holds Tasskar’s treasure, some of it gathered from within the Fallen Fortress: a masterwork short sword, 15 cold iron shurikens, two flasks of acid, a potion of cat’s grace, a potion of lesser restoration, a wand of summon monster I (CL 3rd, 9 charges), an amethyst worth 100 gp, and 247 gp in assorted coins.
The treasure chest bears the maker's mark of the "Mack, Guff, and Phine: Coopers, Carpenters, and Cobblers"
Maria Kuerlara |
Maria looks oddly at him, "wait, you just now feel the fool?"
She gathers up the items in the box (unless someone else wants to carry them) and sighs, "at least it should be easier getting down the stairs than up them."
She asks Bah'ah while pointing at the witch, "nǐ néng wéi wǒmen dài zǒu tā ma?"
Bob McCalister |
As the others inspect the chest, Bob quickly reloads. Looking around, he asks "They be any more o dem students? I's packen for a bit more trouble."
After a moment, seeing no other foes present themselves, he leans the gun on the floor. "Aight. So, whatcha got there? Seems we found the pretty he wanted. Rabbit, ya need help waken her?"
Sir Fuzzelworth Cuddlebuttons |
The rabbit hops over to the newly recovered treasure chest, then looks over at the unconscious witch. Placing his paw on the maker's mark, the rabbit notes that while the witch still has quite a bit of recovering to do after the ordeal, he, at least, is feeling "Phine".
Oh? Punned the chest, did I?
Sir Fuzzelworth Cuddlebuttons |
After McCalister speaks, the rabbit hops back over to the witch's basket and begins to look through it. It produces two vials, one with some sort of brownish liquid and the other fairly clear. It looks the two over and shrugs.

Returning back to the tavern, you find the old Ustlavain man still there talking to something that appears to be a large rat (as in size of a small dog) in a robe. The rat points you out to the man and then scurries off. “Did you bring it? The Rare and Valuable MacGuffin! Show it to me!” With that he acts like a child anxiously waiting for his present.
Maria Kuerlara |
If the witch hasn't awoken by the time we return to town, Maria suggests we seek medical treatment prior to returning the item.
Otherwise she sets the box on the table for the weird man to inspect. She adds with a smile, "of course! We even found... this guy too!" She points at Balenar.

If the witch hasn't awoken by the time we return to town, Maria suggests we seek medical treatment prior to returning the item.
The rabbit agrees that medical treatment, in addition to various other forms of treatment, are necessary for the witch so that she can be a useful and beneficial member of society, if such a thing is possible.
The High Fool |
"Oh we found the MacGuffPhine all right! Quite a little trove, it is! And, we are now the proud owners of a multilevel stone tower! It's been cleared of squatters and is in desperate need of some interior work if you ask me."
Gahlethea the Arcanely Blonde |
Gahlethea, though unconscious, let's out an audible groan at the mention of needing to perform some form of work.
