Darius Swiftblade |
Will: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (6) + 17 = 23
Darius pulls a scroll from his pack and reads it..
UMD: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (12) + 22 = 34 success
Everyone gains water breathing for 65mins..
Kurik Grandhelm |
Not that I expect it to make a difference, but Kurik already has the ability to breathe underwater thanks to his necklace.
"Right, that tears it. For Abadar!" Kurik roars, stomping down into the water after the ichor.
Vital Strike with Dwarven Waraxe: 1d20 + 22 + 1 - 4 ⇒ (15) + 22 + 1 - 4 = 34
Damage, +3 Ghost Touch: 2d10 + 16 ⇒ (7, 1) + 16 = 24
Freedom of Movement should negate underwater combat penalties, and Haste should give him plenty of movement to reach it. If higher ground advantage counts, add 1 to the attack.
GM Ilmakis |
@Kurik I need a swim check DC10
If you make your swim check you hit the creature but most of your damages seems to be "absorbed" by its spongious skin DR.
@Dudley
@Faldoc
Kurik Grandhelm |
Swim: 1d20 ⇒ 7
No protection from the necklace of adaptation? If freedom of movement doesn't allow him to reach the enemy, he'll air walk back out to warn the party.
GM Ilmakis |
@Kurik It's not a gas, but the water itself that burns you so the necklace of adaptation is not useful in this case.
After rereading Freedom of movement, I don't think you need a swim check. You can reach the creature.
Kurik Grandhelm |
Sadly, Kurik does not have Spring Attack, so any warning of acid will be somewhat muffled.
GM Ilmakis |
The blasphemous creature moves out of the water
Filthy mortals! For far too long was I slave to lesser souls —those grease stains on the palms of beasts. No longer! Sweet, pitiless voracity! Yes, I have consumed them, and on the fruits of their panic I feed, and I grow, and I shall rise to heights of divine glory! Bow before a god reborn, or be the first of mortalkind to know your doom!
As the same time the god creatures concentrates and thousands of thousand of centipetes appears around Dudley while Faldoc has a senses o dread and fear in his mind!
Before going back into it.
Swarm Damages
Damages Dudley: 4d6 ⇒ (4, 4, 1, 1) = 10 + Poison Dex damages: 1d3 ⇒ 2
Round 3 (bold may act)
Faldoc (may act twice) + Will DC18 or shaken
Darius (must make a Will save DC22 again)
Dudley (-10HP) must make a Fort save DC22 or -2Dex + Another Fort Save DC22 or be nauseated (distraction)
Kurik (-54HP) + AoO
The creature (-77HP) underwater
Kurik Grandhelm |
AoO with Dwarven Waraxe: 1d20 + 22 + 1 - 4 ⇒ (8) + 22 + 1 - 4 = 27
Bursting out of the lake, Kurik swears a blue streak. "Whole thing is acid!" he warns, grasping his holy symbol. "Abadar, sooth the wounds of your faithful." he prays, much of the acidic burn relieved by the healing.
Sacking Remove Blindness/Deafness for maximized CSW, 34 points of healing.
GM Ilmakis |
@Dudley I need a swim check DC10 to swim into the acridic water
Dudley decides to follows the creature into the acid.
While Kurik gets out, badly burned and calls for his god to close his wounds.
Faldoc (may act twice) + Will DC18 or shaken
Darius (must make a Will save DC22 again)
Darius Swiftblade |
What is the Will saves for? If it's the Mind Fog you only save once for that spell if you pass.
Will: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (1) + 17 = 18 I'll wait till I see what's up before acting.
Darius Swiftblade |
Sry folks my internet is horrible where i am till Sunday. I curremtly cant look at the map so i will try my best to post.
Do i have to move to attack or?
GM Ilmakis |
The creature is inside the acid waters so yes, you need to move in to attack the creature.
Darius Swiftblade |
Darius uses spell combat to cast Monstrous Physique II shifting into a Four Arm Gargoyle.
He then moves up and attacks once.
Attack: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (20) + 22 = 42 has 10’ reach now
Confirm: 1d20 + 32 ⇒ (1) + 32 = 33
Dam: 2d6 + 28 ⇒ (4, 5) + 28 = 37 Dam is +5 slashing
If for some reason its an evil outsider its an extra 2d6+2 dam.
He auto makes his fly check to hober btw..
GM Ilmakis |
@Darius you can't cast a spell, and attack if your spell is not a touch attack spell that gives you an attack.
But as this is the new year, I give you the right!
Darius transforms in a large gargoyle and flies above the water to be able to reach the creature. With a perfect strike he hits the creature But not as much as he thoughs
@Faldoc
GM Ilmakis |
Faldoc seems to freeze and do nothing to help his comrades.
The creature begin to concentrates.
Round 4 (bold may act)
Faldoc Will DC18 or shaken
Darius
Dudley (-35HP) must make a Fort save DC22 or lose Dex Damages: 1d2 ⇒ 1 + Swim check DC10
Kurik (-20HP)
The creature (-94HP) underwater
Dudley Benfare |
fort save: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (2) + 15 = 17 owie
swim check: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24
Dudley will move over and attack with his chakram.
smite evil, haste
to hit: 1d20 + 25 - 2 ⇒ (17) + 25 - 2 = 40 damage: 1d8 + 17 ⇒ (2) + 17 = 19 underwater so 10 damage
GM Ilmakis |
You are able to hit the creature, and thanks to your smite pypass his thick hide.
Kurik Grandhelm |
Kurik moves to support Dudley with healing as best he can, unwilling to dip into another acid bath just yet.
Not sure of height differences at the moment, trying to get within 30ft of the melee.
GM Ilmakis |
In this case you must delay as in a ready action, you can only do a standard action.
Kurik Grandhelm |
"You're no god! You're just an acid monster hiding in delusions of grandeur!" Kurik yells in frustration.
GM Ilmakis |
I AM A GOD, FOOLS!
Is the angry response from the creature who emerge from the acid waters to attack Kurik.
AoO for Dudley
Fear Me! Kurik Must make a DC20 Will Save against Fear or be Doomed
Once next to the dwarf he tries to slam him in the face
Attack: 1d20 + 26 ⇒ (19) + 26 = 45
Damages: 6d6 + 10 ⇒ (2, 1, 2, 1, 4, 2) + 10 = 22
Wisdom Drain: 1d3 ⇒ 3
And Kurik is hit and he senses that his wisdom is falling him.
Round 4 (bold may act)
Faldoc Will DC18 or shaken
Darius
Dudley (-57HP) must make a Fort save DC22 or lose Dex Damages: 1d2 ⇒ 1 + Swim check DC10
Kurik (-42HP) (-3Drain Wisdom) + Will DC20 or shaken and lose another 1 wisdom drain
The creature (-93HP) flying next to Kurik
Kurik Grandhelm |
Fuggin' ouch. Good thing he doesn't really need his Wisdom anymore. :)
Will Save: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (7) + 17 = 24
Vital Strike Furious Focus Power Attack Waraxe: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (8) + 22 = 30
Gritting his teeth, Kurik swings axe hard to no avail. "A little help here? Thing's angry!" he calls out, blood welling in his palms once more.
AC is stable despite losing shield bonus thanks to Stigmata again. Because after all, what's another bleed out between a dwarf and his god?
Dudley Benfare |
fort save: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (19) + 15 = 34
Thn he will swift lay on hands
healing: 3d6 ⇒ (5, 4, 6) = 15
smite
AOO: 1d20 + 25 ⇒ (8) + 25 = 33 damage: 1d8 + 17 ⇒ (5) + 17 = 22
Then he will get out of the acid.
If he still has a standard after getting out, he will throw at the big blob again.
smite evil, point blank shot
to hit: 1d20 + 27 ⇒ (19) + 27 = 46 damage: 1d8 + 21 ⇒ (1) + 21 = 22
If it seems odd that his bonus to hit and damage are changing, this is because the AOO is a melee attack, and that loses trained throw on damage, and uses str instead of dex and takes a -1 penalty from the chakram)
Kurik Grandhelm |
Vital Strike Damage: 2d10 + 22 ⇒ (8, 1) + 22 = 31
Not used to that. Thought it was too low. Should have rolled the damage just in case anyway.
GM Ilmakis |
The poison stops in Dundley's blood as his weapon strikes the creature, but still underacid his strike is not as powerful.
@Dudley I need a swim check to let you be able to get out of the water (DC10)
Kurik strikes and hit the "god" creature, proving his point.
@Darius
@Faldoc
Darius Swiftblade |
Darius will move 5' and attack the creature. He will use spell combat/spellstrike auto combat casting vamp touch with the extra attack. Swift action for arcane accuracy.
Attack SS: 1d20 + 28 ⇒ (5) + 28 = 33
Attack Haste: 1d20 + 28 ⇒ (13) + 28 = 41
Attack 1: 1d20 + 28 ⇒ (9) + 28 = 37
Attack 2: 1d20 + 23 ⇒ (13) + 23 = 36
SR Check, using Dweomer Essence: 1d20 + 14 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 14 + 5 = 26..
Dam SS: 2d6 + 21 ⇒ (1, 4) + 21 = 26
Dam Haste: 2d6 + 21 ⇒ (4, 5) + 21 = 30
Dam 1: 2d6 + 21 ⇒ (3, 5) + 21 = 29
Dam 2: 2d6 + 21 ⇒ (5, 2) + 21 = 28
Damage is +5 magic
Ill roll damage in case that vamp touch went through
7d6 ⇒ (2, 5, 1, 6, 1, 5, 3) = 23
Also was I suppose to take my delayed standard last round?
If so, 2 hand attack: 1d20 + 24 ⇒ (11) + 24 = 35
Dam: 2d6 + 28 ⇒ (6, 4) + 28 = 38
Hover Check: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (18) + 17 = 35
Bite: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (18) + 18 = 36
Gore: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (20) + 18 = 38
Claw: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (6) + 18 = 24
Claw: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (3) + 18 = 21
Dam Bite: 1d8 + 14 ⇒ (1) + 14 = 15
Dam Gore: 1d4 + 14 ⇒ (1) + 14 = 15
Dam Claw: 1d6 + 14 ⇒ (3) + 14 = 17
Dam Claw: 1d6 + 14 ⇒ (5) + 14 = 19
Damage is Non-Magical
Kurik Grandhelm |
Kurik realizes he is holding his breath, watching for the monstrosity to fall. The exhale reminds him of an abrupt rush of air through a mineshaft.
GM Ilmakis |
The creature falls into the acrid waters, but after a few moment, it reappears still alive!
You battle again for a few second until you realize that it regenerate itself quite rapidly.
It's not without try and error that you understand that you need a good aligned weapon to stop it and after another fight with it you are able to kill it for good.
Shortly after you defeats the ichor the acid begins disappearing into large drains that open on all four walls. It takes 10 minutes for the acid to drain entirely and let you explore the complex.
You are free to descend the final two platforms and explore the god lab’s floor. The drains are outfitted with suctioning devices, ensuring that any traces of acid le on the acid-resistant stairways and platforms do not threaten anyone once activated.
Although barely perceptible amounts of greenish, glistening acid cling to a few surfaces here and there, this bunker- like laboratory is surprisingly intact. The room’s steel workstations appear sterile but are arranged messily, with blocky metal desks overturned and chairs is flung askew, as if any workers here fled in a panic. To the south is a tiered platform supporting a large vat that is sunken into the floor. To the west is a heavy, riveted, industrial-grade door.
After spending 10 minutes searching the lab, you come across a closed drawer with surviving contents. The drawer contains an orange prism ioun stone and an amulet of proof against detection and location.
At last, you look at the industrial-grade door. Strangely, it's not locked as if the draining of the acid have unlocked it.
When you opens it, you are able to see Professor Inphira Kramolag slumped on the floor, dead.
You searches her alchemical materials and finish to find one of her contingencies: a flask containing a variant alchemist extract of speak with dead wrapped in a written message that says, In case I die, feed this to me.
This extract allows Kramolag’s spirit to converse freely and answer questions for 14 minutes, after which her soul departs to be judged.
Darius Swiftblade |
Had to roll back to June 6th for info on why we are even here lol.. Long module to say the least.
"Ask her about any plans she has already set in motion before her death. She obviously got in over her head here."
GM Ilmakis |
After Dudley administer the extract, the soul of Professor Kramolag appears. see the image on the map
When Darius asks his question she says.
My plans was to kill the creature I create and finished to free itself with acid. I had enough oxygen for several hours and I don't know why it take so long to release me from my panic room.
Now, most of my work is lost as I imagine my coworkers now know nothing about what's going on here. But as I'm dead, I suppose it's not that important.
Kurik Grandhelm |
"Says the woman who couldn't stand up to her own creation." Kurik scoffs before he frowns at her phrasing. "Your coworkers, the assistants upstairs? They don't remember anything, whatever you did to them."
GM Ilmakis |
Of course, I've made contingency plans in case something goes wrong here. I've implant in their mind a contingency that make them forgot all they know since they got here after several hours out of this complex.
Feel free to ask all your questions in any order I will try to answer them all
Kurik Grandhelm |
"And this draught, to let us speak with you, what reason do you have for that?" The dwarf furrows his brow, suspicion writ upon it.
GM Ilmakis |
That's very simple, I assumed that my colleagues would find me, and I wanted to be able to provide some accounting of what occurred. Instead I got you. Given everything else that’s gone wrong of late, I can’t say I’m really surprised.
Darius Swiftblade |
"Why were you helping the Korholm Agenda? What information did you provide them? What did the Aspis take from your other facility? What other plans, if any, have you already set into motion?"
GM Ilmakis |
Kramolag's spirit grimaces. My role was strictly coerced. I had and have no interest in the Korholm Agenda beyond its use for minor field tests, and even that was my making the most of a bad situation. If I had my way— she looks around with disgust —and clearly I can’t have that, I would have wanted nothing to do with the Agenda or the hellion Suliji Peshar...
I've provided my knowledge as well as some of my research results, some subjects and facilities to help the Agenda. I don't think that the Aspis has a direct hand in this, or at least not all the Patrons.
